    Brilliant script, executed with perfect timing and mannerisms. I used to love watching Cissie and Ada when I was a youngster.

      Me too, though a lot of the jokes would have gone over my head. I love the attention to detail in these sketches, the timing, mannerisms, facial expressions and even the costumes are spot on.

    Watching "An Audience With Les" right now on ITV. Everything about this man makes you unable to keep a straight face. He was such a unique comedian. Those expressions in between punchlines just get me every time. How many comedians can have you cracking up with laughter before they've even uttered a word??

    I loved Les Dawson say him live on holiday, think it was Bournemouth, my dad took me to meet him at the bar, he was having a jack daniels and cigar! gave me an autograph. I will never forget that. He was such a great comedian. Good northern humour. These are classics, love the northern "battleaxe"!! lol.

    @terryrazz Hello there Terry,
    Just a quick message to say Thank You for all the enjoyment that (via Les)you gave us.
    When I watched Cissie and Ada(originally) I was always hoping that someone in TV would comission C&A as a series,but nobody seems to have had the gumption to do it.
    I also remember Les as the old lady Nona,what an amazing straight actor was hidden underneath the comic exterior.
    I hope life is treating you well.
    Regards,
    Gordon.

    They both had(have in Roy's case) such amazing comedic talent,acting & timing.Especially as Cissie & Ada.
    I always think it sad that someone didn't comission Cissie & Ada as a short,(say 12 episodes) series.
    At least we have the small scenes to laugh at.
    Thanks to Les and Roy.
    PS:~
    Have you ever seen Les playing an old South American(non stop eating) woman,in the play "Nona"?
    If not try and find it on youtbe,Les is just amazing (and convincing) in it.
