When Eric throws away the little tag at 3:50 and ad libs "Berman" is comedy gold. Berman's was a famous costume rental company. Ernie cracks up at that moment. Brilliant.
Unbeatable! All the big stars wanted to be on their show. Great to see John Mills, specially when he’s trying not to laugh! The breakfast sketch to The Stripper is another of my favourite sketches. The timing is spot on! They’re not lost though, thanks to people putting out the videos.
I saw them at Gt Yarmouth in 1964, when I was 12. My brother in law laughed so much he spat out his cigarette, which went down the shirt neck of the man sitting in front of him, who's shirt started smoking! Eric and Erny were so funny. Happy days.
THANK YOU for allowing me to remember my beautiful childhood back in dear old England. Very very happy days those were ....sadly I was too young to appreciate them.
I've had the great pleasure of meeting and serving the late great Sir John Mills and his wife in a a Hotel . It was called the Lythe Hill Hotel Haslemere .
I have to say... that when a sketch laughing at a thousand bogus war movies was acted by the ‘Beyond the Fringe’ cast back in the Sixties, WWII veterans threatened to beat them up, for not showing respect. PC wasn’t invented recently. Thanks to the satire boom, M & W - plus John ‘In Which We Serve’ Mills - can get away with this nonsense in the Seventies. This is what comedy is for. Laughing at our bogies so they cease to haunt us.
Now this is too funny! I love it to the 9th power! haaa back when comedy was still legal! To have fun and laugh at ourselves. As we have for the last 1000 years.
Forgot about this classic show, old aussie living in the US many years, thanks Canned Carrott. Comedy at its best, like all of the old shows, not the garbage that is shown today.just sayin'
@@GavTatu 🤣🤣🤣. And let’s face it. Everyone had VD so it wasn’t even a unique souvenir!

Oh where are those great days of comedy...M&W and the Golden Girls.....such scripts alas can no longer appear.....thanks to 'Political correctness...' and similar shit......
Looks something like Croix de Guerre (byt with a purple ribbon), General Service Medal and two army long service medals. Nothing like the medals they were supposed to be! Hey, what the hell though, it's a comedy sketch :-)
Then He said, "I tell you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom from heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom from heaven, and whoever receives a little child like this in my name receives me."
@@stuartofblyth So, He who created everything also created the filarial worm Onchocerca volvulus, which causes onchocerciasis, (also known as river blindness), which causes blindness in innocent children. Is this His idea of a joke? 🤔🤔🤔
Oh Jeez... Hilarious! John Mills nearly busted a gut trying not to laugh. M&W were a great team, there will never be anything like them again.

Never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I watch this. I miss those days, you know.

Camp cook Lionel Blair 😂
Hilarious! God Bless you Eric and Ernie
This is one of the best sketch from Morecambe and Wise! I laughed so much that it left me in tears!
THANK YOU for allowing me to remember my beautiful childhood back in dear old England. Very very happy days those were ....sadly I was too young to appreciate them.

Abso. superb .Credits at the start ,so funny -THOSE WERE THE DAYS 👍, sadly gone now 😔. Great to se again 👍🙂
Absolutely brilliant comedy
Absolutely brilliant.
Eric was a comic genius.
It was so hilarious even the actors could not stop laughing.
A good comedy is one where even the actors can't hold themselves together.
I've had the great pleasure of meeting and serving the late great Sir John Mills and his wife in a a Hotel . It was called the Lythe Hill Hotel Haslemere .
Absolute comedic genius!😂😂😂
Brilliant, Good Old British Humour❗️
Rest in peace mr Barry cryer. Writers Eric and Ernie. Have now left us stars
Love the pantomime 'runaround' routine at 3:25!
4:53 - Sir John Mills: "Now Darson ... Darcy" - Eric: "You were close" - Eric could never allow a slip up from Ernie or any guest star go unnoticed.
Fabulous !
Beats the dross which passes of comedy these days.
Proper comedy! Good clean fun.
Not so clean. There's a guy in a skirt.
It’s a kilt ….
Love this. Good old days when we had comedy to laugh at.
Absolutely brillia nt
Brilliant fun
Bloody hilarious.
Where has all this comedy gone? No more saturday nights round the box.
TheMrgaztop totally agree with you all we've got now is things like Miranda which is not funny at all
Faith Evans Example?
When the world was normal.
1971
When woke didn’t exist either , and when England was still England , apart from south hall
Normal?

John Mills wearing his "Tunes of Glory" costume.
If the kilt fits.. wear it ..👍
Even the cast couldn't keep a straight face!

Don't just Stand there, peel me a 'John Mills"!
Dear Eric why aren't you around now looking after us? ARSENAL!
Sadly Eric Morecambe met his maker in 1984
This is pure British pantomime. Just wonderful entertainment.
Raised it on the way out🤦🏼♂️🤣🤣
Even broke the Nazi 😅
Awsome
Wow, good clean fun . Talking about Eric dressing up as a Minstral, and singing Mammie. How did this get past the YT Censor.

The great John Mills
ruclips.net/video/nHk7uyJtbTQ/видео.html
Mill's "Now dozen."
Eric "you were close."
The magic and fun of Eric and Ernie, right there.
I agree. What happened to a good, clean laugh?
Geniuses
Lol "Boss of Germany"
That's the Writer .
It doesn’t get much better than this..❤
Camp cook, Lionel Blair, road block, Mrs Mills 😂😂😂😂, when comedy was funny.
Thanks rer
What year was this show?
10th October 1971 as part of their sixth series for the BBC.
@@johnking5174 Thanks.
Did they borrow their costumes from Dad's Army?
Proper
i like the army captain with a DFC and bar :)
after liberating france, all my granddad came back with was the VD and scar.

3:37 = pure hilarity
CatbushAndLudicrous what is... your plan of escape?
funny but it's not a DFC & bar as that is a cross not a round medal! lol being pedantic

@@robbrown7592 It definitely wasn't a DSO and Bar, Dick Shot Off.
It's also the wrong ribbon.
This show keeps popping up in my feed, and I keep clicking on it.
I don't know why though, I don't find M&W at all funny.
Funny as ....no need to hang shit on people like so called comedians do nowadays
Brilliant comedy....better than anything in 2024/25

Incredibly juvenile...only suitable for those with a mental age level of around 9 years...
