+RAYalized john thaw IS dead! just to say :-)
Cheers Shanai, I didn't mention because I thought that everyone knows already that he'd passed away in 2002.
RAYalized h
From the days when comedy was funny. Lovely.
It may take you time to get used to seeing John this young without the trademark white hair but it pays off to stay 7mins to see the new to you slapstick way he goes here❤️❤️😍
This is great! So funny, I wish I had seen this series earlier. Thanks for posting
I just found it and thought to present it for all the other great fans. Since receiving UK telly here I discovered lots of wonderful stuff and hence I love it! Enjoy it everybody. I'm happy to share
Cheers!
@@RAYalized Just catching now! Thanks from South Jersey, USA. I am recovering from an illness and (taking a page from Norman Cousin"s best selling book years ago) I am trying to "laugh myself well". Thanks to generous folks (like you) sharing these "giggling gems", it is working!
Thanks again Mate! Best regards and wishes to all!
jc curran great to hear that my friend! Best wishes from Germany
And those celebrity portraits at the end...!
nice one ray.. good to see more morecame and wise :-) I thank you..
Cheers Paul, great to meet more fans..
Just loved it
I love this sketch, especially the line ... "What you going to do now TC?"
Miss them
In 1 word brilliant
In two words: bloody brilliant!
@@bazza945 Three words: Absolutely bloody brilliant.
Love the callbacks to the table football sketch!
Hard to believe John Thaw is only 34 here!
Great this !!
To MaskedMan66. The person at the end of the sketch is Des O'connor. Morecambe and Wise were always making jokes about him. This was Des O'connor getting his own back.
Thank you!
Des, short for 'Desparate'.
I still think of Eric's trick with the paper bag, and when Ernie says something about the bag Eric says It's a fella LOL
I could watch 12:55 to 13:10 all night!
Cheers 4 sharing and your nice comment!
This is fabulously silly. Who knew the Sweeney guys were so good at comedy. Lots of lovely bits & Ernie particularly good.
Probably filmed somewhere on Horsell Common where the other Martians landed!
3 gone, one to go. talent transferring to the next bit
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣love the candle
R I P eric little ern and john.
Could you please tell me if the episode featuring the sketch 'Morey-cambey' is on RUclips somewhere?
HI Synth, thanks for your comment and for enjoying the clip. I'm sorry I have no clue if Morey-cambey is on that, some of this very clip was on telly recently. I'm from Germany and all this is still 'brand new' to me anyway.. but I hope to find out more so I'll be able to help you. Cheers!
(SPOILER)
21:16 - Yes, you really are the goner,
When you're shot by Des O'Connor.
Just wonderful.
Can any one enlighten me as to who the subjects of the portraits in the German HQ at 8:58 - 9:09 are?
I think the portraits are their writers. The second one looks like Eddie Braben
@@nn-ro1lv you're probably right.
Thanks for this. This was great. Who was the Actress?
DaMon Turnbull Kate O'Mara
@@montrocon Thank you. She is just beautiful! I recognised her from Absolutely Fabulous as Jackie Stone
John Thaw covered in mud .... classic!
Royal Engineers! Hurrah for the CRE!
Forgive my ignorance, but who was that at the end of the sketch?
+MaskedMan66 I'm sorry, but I have no idea who this is.
RAYalized Thanks all the same. :-)
Des O'Connor.
M&W used to make jokes about him constantly
Tim Carpenter Ah! Yes, thank you! I've heard the name. The Two Ronnies often had a go at him as well.
cheers Tim, I'm glad that there are great supporters like you who can help out with information.
When comedy really was comedy.
M&W were in the Sweeney.
Is this the set from BlackAdder ---or did they copy this set ?
First thing I thought too.
Where the 1917 writers got their ideas!
