Seems like thy could make the circular area that fits over the knob a bit smaller to not have as much empty space around it. It is, after all, for a C7 Corvette. Make it a tighter fit.

The button cover is a great idea but it's appears to overhang the "edge" of the radio. I do not want that.
It's pretty awesome looking. It does overhang but I'm loving it!
I wedged some poker chips around the perimeter to help center the mirror and also suction cups on the mirror to help me rotate/adjust it.

After trading in my 2007 corvette ZO6 for a 2017 corvette ZO6 as I was driving the new vette home I was like this blind spot is going to get me in trouble. After watching this video and picking up the mirror mod, I was extremely happy with the way it improves the line of sight. Now I feel very comfortable when changing lanes. Thanks for the great mod ideas 💡

I like both ideas but both have some minor issues IMO. The Jake Head size is too big as it extends beyond the bezel around the screen. If it stayed within the boundary and maybe didn’t loop around the pwr/vol knob, I would definitely get it.
With the mirror, you lose the auto dimming feature. Not necessarily a deal breaker but just knowing that the mirror face protrudes further out of the housing than the on the passenger side would bother me.
I know, I have issues...damn OCD!!! 🤣

Yup. That was the only thing I didn't like about it. The Jake emblem to cover the screen switch is definitely my favorite.

I have their seat belt stays and they work great. I bought the the Jake screen switch cover, but did not install it yet. I’m a bit OCD and it bugs me it does not line up with the left edge. 🤦♂️

I like both those mods. As to the Jake logo, I might have been tempted to paint it red to match your rev match paddles. I think I want one made out of billet and use it as a bottle opener. LOL Save the Wave.
I thought about painting it red, but I like the more stealth look in this case. You want it to remain hidden to keep that cubby as secret as possible.
Sometimes the best way to hide something is in plain sight. ;-)

It was only for the ZR1 and some special edition C7s that got the glossy carbon.

Because all of GM can't figure out how to make a functional mirror.
It's pretty functional if adjusted properly but most people don't want to adjust it the way it should be. A lot of people don't have their mirrors set up correctly and haven't ever done it right so to do it right seems weird now. This mirror is for them.

Yeah I angle mine out too on cars that use flat mirrors without much FOV cuz they're cheap. As you go up in price, mirrors tend to work right, but its sad that we have to pay $100K+ to get a $4 safety item, because manufacturers are too busy lobbying congress to force everyone to buy airbags that pop out of the seat bolsters.
That's the world we live in...
This mirror is a good alternative to BSD.
