For all the 6ft plus drivers, don't forget about the limit switch just under the carpet on the rear bulkhead... it will sometimes muck with your EZ exit settings (like mine did) You can disconnect the limit switch to make life a little easier; just remember not to drive the seat all the way to the rear stop and then some! To disconnect limit switch; lift carpet behind seat, disconnect blade connector at top of vertical switch and replace carpet.....you will also gain an extra inch or so of rear travel.
One of the nicest upgrades to my c6 with black c7 z06 wheels is black lug nuts,Center cap, and valve stem caps like yours. I also painted the silver valves black. What a difference
I would be very cautious about increasing the hight of the headlights. Too high is going to blind oncoming drivers. I expect the factory setting are designed by the manufacturer's engineers to minimize that. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the distance illuminated by low beam headlights is about 160 feet
Another cool thing is you can program your favorites that slide up to work with the Base/Mid/Treble and placement of the music. Great for turning the base up or down really easily.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Go into the tone settings and swipe up from the bottom. Set your tone to the bass bumping level. Hold a favorite section and you get a saved tone. Then save a less bumping one. I recommend using the ones furthest left and right since they're going to be Tone 1 and Tone 2 on the list. Weird how it works but it does.
Great video from a newish c7 owner. Never could get the seats quite right, not intuitive from the manufacturer at all. One of my favorite cheap mods was adding a window valet. Three taps on unlock rolls down the windows, why this car doesn't have this is beyond me but it is fantastic. Also can vent you windows down an inch if you want from the remote.

Lots of great tips and nothing wrong with any of them ... but for a lot less money and time, you could have put black Colorlugs on your lug nuts rather than changing the actual lug nuts and gotten the same appearance, at least from a distance. These are just simple vinyl caps that take about 60 seconds to put on the lugs and can be taken off as easily with tweezers they supply (also making it easy to clean them while the lug nuts themselves are clean and protected from rust. Takes about another 60 seconds to change them if you decide you don't like the color anymore. My C7 is torch red with red brakes and I use red Colorlugs to coordinate and make my chrome wheels really pop. Personally I think the red Colorlugs would actually look better on your car than the black lug nuts due to the contrast, but that's just a matter of personal preference.
I actually looked into the Colorlugs and almost bought the red ones until I saw them in person. I really don't dig the way they look (up close) because you can clearly see they aren't lug nuts.

Hey J. Nice upload man. A wealth of info and easy DIY stuff to boot. Great shots of the Vettes at the end too. Man oh man that JT guyz car is bananas !!!!! 😄😉👍 Thx bro.
Car looks sweet as usual. Have 2 questions. I have a 2LZ package as you know. I want to get the stage 3 deflectors. Since my front lip is carbon fibre, are the deflectors also in carbon? Second, what product do u use to clean your rims. Mine are ceramic coated but I still looking for a good product. Thanks
Hey Cy, The OEM stage 3 "canards" are only available from GM in carbon flash painted... Odd, I know, considering the stage 3 canards DO in fact come on the exposed carbon fiber aero pieces from the factory but with that said, you can get them aftermarket to match the exposed weave from places like Apsis, etc. As far as my rims, I use good old fashioned soap and water. No harsh chemicals because they might mess up the carbon ceramic rotors and they are too expensive to replace. Plus the water and soap seems to do a great job!
Well, Corvetteer Justin, another informative upload. I especially liked the headlight adjustment feature. Now you've got me wondering where there might be such an adjustment on my C6. I've complained all along that I'm able to out-drive my headlights on dark country roads. Not that I'm racing, it's just they don't cast light out far enough. Those are some good looking Vettes at the end of the video. 😆 Save the Wave.
Thanks Justin, I would appreciate you checking for me. I was going to do it today, but the sun came out. So with key fob in hand, well, in my pocket, I hopped in and went for a little 100 mile Tour d'Sussex. :-) Plus, I thought my right wrist was starting to atrophy and needed to do some rowing. 😆 I'm glad to report that both fob and wrist are operating within normal parameters and then some. 🤘 Save the Wave.
@@petercarey6883 That's awesome to hear, Peter! I'm about to head out in my Vette after updating the DSC controller to feel it all out. Video coming soon... But here is a link to the Corvette forum where it shows how to adjust the headlights AND foglights for the C6 Corvette. bit.ly/2KiZXir 👍👍
WOW, thank you so much Justin. I've said it before and I'll say it again. YOU NEVER FAIL TO DELIVER. Plus with the link you supplied me with, I got a twofor. In addition to the headlight adjustment, it included the adjustment for the fog lights. I never would have thought such an adjustment existed for them. Thank you again. As to your upcoming video as to the DSC controller, I'm also VERY, interested in that. As you know I'm very interested in anything related to the C7 ZO6, ZO7 optioned out with a 7-speed. ;-) Hope your test went well.
Hey Jason thanks for the great tips man I just went out to my Stingray which has performance exhaust and got into my settings and put it on track I love it I want a loud all the time I plan on set my headlights tonight thanks a lot man keep the good videos coming
You can watch the video of me swapping them out here: ruclips.net/video/hyupDFfrkKs/видео.html They don't make OEM silver, though. The paddles come in red or yellow from GM. You can, however, remove them and paint them.
Great tip on the exhaust, I've been having to toggle through modes while driving so I wouldn't sound too quite near those pesky mustangs. Question, as far as the steering settings and driving modes, what do you use most often for daily driving? Are you usually in Tour mode?
Jason, keep up the great videos. There is one critical thing you need to mention about setting the memory for the exit position. This is a tip that a lot of Corvette owners have eventually learned, but many simply don’t know about it. It can eliminate not only frustration but trips to the repair shop when nothing is actually wrong. Also, this applies to the C7, C6, and the C5 generations and is by design. It is not a defect in your car. If you have ever experienced the seat memory recall at startup not working or being intermittent, it is because the saved exit position for the seat is all the way to the max back position. For what ever reason, recall doesn’t like to work when starting from that position. The proper procedure for setting the seat exit position is this: Move the seat all the way back until it stops, then give the button a quick tap to move the seat forward one small step. Then you can set the exit memory button. The recall memory #1 & #2 movements at startup will then work every time you start the car. I also do the same with the steering wheel (max back then one step forward). If you want to see it demonstrated, Rick Corvette Conti has an entire video dedicated to seat memory programming where he covers this exact procedure and explains more as to why. That video is here: ruclips.net/video/Sw1cplpNIro/видео.html Similarly, you do not have to turn off the recall options in the settings before programming the positions. I don’t have to do that on my Z06. Again, see Rick Conti’s video where he also doesn’t do that.
Thank you! I've seen some places suggesting not putting the seat the whole way back but honestly I never saw that issue in the Stingray I drove or my Z06. Also to fix the issue of the auto seat recall not working you absolutely have to turn those settings off first and then adjust your seats then turn them back on. It's some sort of software glitch that causes it and turning off the settings and then saving your sitting position is what fixes it. It's been touched on a few times on the Corvette forum but ultimately it's a very important part of the fix.
I'm not 100% sure on the size of the allen, but you will see it once you remove that cover. The lever on the drivers and passenger side floor is to open the door in the case of no battery power.
If you have an automatic no there is not. You would have to buy a device like the "Range" device that plugs into the OBD2 port that would disable cylinder deactivation.
Justin, hello from the Land of Smiles...truly an informative and enjoyable video. You and Mike are rockin & rollin on your Vlogs! I do want to talk with you further ie. DSC front / rear alignments. Blue skies, Jg
Thanks, John! I'll be filming a video tomorrow doing some more "technical" stuff with the DSC controller (firmware/calibration update) so stay tuned for that coming soon! 😊
I have a 2015 Stingray 3LT. The exhaust sound good when I start it , then seconds later it quiets way down. It is in track mode for the exhaust. Is there a way to get that good exhaust rumble with out paying out $2200 for headers and pipes?
I want a c7 so badly I cant stand it. They were just a touch out of my price range when i bought my last car which was in 2017. I still got a 2017 mustang 5.0, so I'm happy with it, but I'm hoping to get a vette next time. Really like your car. Planning on a red or black one myself
@@HorsePowerObsessed I have 2 dream cars into 2 categories. The dream car I might actually can afford and the dream car that I likely never will. The c7 vette is the one I hope to be able to fit in my budget....the unobtainable one is a Lamborghini aventador
@@jrvbamafan1 The C7 Z06 was my unobtainable at one point so I'm literally living my dream right now! This thing impresses me on a scale which I can't even communicate. Now that I have it it's hard to ever see NOT owning a Corvette but MAYBE one day a Huracan Performante 😉
@@HorsePowerObsessed I'd love a z06. I've ridden in a 2013 zr1 and it was stupid fast. That Huracan would be an incredible car as well. I'd be happy with a c7 stingray with bolt ons and exhaust, maybe a small cam. I dont race as much as I use to and around 450-475 hp to the wheels would be perfect for what I'd want to do with it.
Hello...Is there a software update for the C7 that provides the options you are discussing? I checked and I have the latest update but one of the features you spoke of is not available on my 2019 GS 3LT. I have the full nav option. My Auto Memory Recall does not have the "At Ignition On" feature, it only shows "On" or "Off". My "Easy Exit Options" are the same.
@@HorsePowerObsessed- you would think that the C7 infotainment system software would be the same regardless of year. What is your software's latest update number? I will compare it with mine. Regarding your question concerning others differences, I have not noticed anything else but keep posting...I am sure I will eventually discover something different between our systems, besides the obvious. Thx for the prompt reply. 🙂🙂🙂
Great info/vid. I have a question, if you had the opportunity to purchase a 60th anniversary (non 427) c6 w 8k miles....versus a 2014 or 15, price being equal??? My delemma
While they are both awesome cars I would choose the 2015. I've always loved Corvettes but none of them have really grabbed my attention the way the C7 has.
Question... Is Sport and Track exhaust "sound" the same? Does making it let's say going from sport to track mess with throttle response at all also or are they both the "same"?
I did at one point but never noticed any difference in sound so I put it back that way I could close them if I ever wanted to but I haven't found a reason to yet! 😈

I've complained all along that I'm able to out-drive my headlights on dark country roads. Not that I'm racing, it's just they don't cast light out far enough. Those are some good looking Vettes at the end of the video. 😆 Save the Wave.
I'll check into where it's at on the c6 and let you know. I agree, those Vettes at the end are spectacular! 😁
You're quite welcome, Peter! It went very well today! I still very highly recommend this thing! It's even a snap to update! 👍👍
Just wanted to say you can buy a carbon fibre cover for the screen button.
I saw that before, any idea where I could get one?
HorsePower Obsessed I think you can buy it in a roll and cut it out your self. But I know you can get it after market just not sure where. Cheers 🍻
Thanks! 👍👍
I have a 2019 C7 and was wondering since my display doesn't show a PDR if I can still change my exhaust sound to track?
As long as your car has the dual mode exhaust you can change this option.
Car is stunning!
Thanks, man! I love the C7 looks... especially in RED! 😍
Dude, that was awesome. Thanks
You’re very welcome!
Jason...Your'e the man! Excellent vlog.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! 😊
0:56 only the 2015 had chrome trim center caps. Trust me I know, that's how I identify them 😆
I've seen some 2016's with them too... Maybe they added them? 😕
Thanks for the info and great job on video!
Glad it was helpful!
Hey Jason thanks for the great tips man I just went out to my Stingray which has performance exhaust and got into my settings and put it on track I love it I want a loud all the time I plan on set my headlights tonight thanks a lot man keep the good videos coming
You're quite welcome! You'll notice a huge difference with those headlights adjusted!
I don't have the different list of Exhaust settings , does it not come of the 2014 c7?
@horsepowerobsessed Jason how did you get the paddle's changed to Red? I'd like to change mine to silver on my Z06
You can watch the video of me swapping them out here: ruclips.net/video/hyupDFfrkKs/видео.html
They don't make OEM silver, though.
I'm in Tour mode 70% of the time and Sport mode the rest of the time.
HorsePower Obsessed perfect buddy. Thank you!
Thank YOU!
Cool shades btw i need some of those.
Mine are for sale if you want them!
That video is here: ruclips.net/video/Sw1cplpNIro/видео.html
Similarly, you do not have to turn off the recall options in the settings before programming the positions.
2 questions- what size allen wrench for lights and what is the lever for on driver's side floor? thx
I'm not 100% sure on the size of the allen, but you will see it once you remove that cover. The lever on the drivers and passenger side floor is to open the door in the case of no battery power.
Love the C7.... one day I will get there haha
You absolutely will! 👍👍
Awesome video brother!! Very informative 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you!
Hi is there a way to change the c7 settings, so it doesn't go into eco mode while driving on the Hwy. Great video.
Mike
If you have an automatic no there is not. You would have to buy a device like the "Range" device that plugs into the OBD2 port that would disable cylinder deactivation.
@@HorsePowerObsessed thanks that is what I will have to do.
If you have an auto, then I'd highly recommend it.
Hate black wheels. Everything else was very helpful and well explained.
Thank you!
Becomming my C7 GS in 3 days
Could you explain what was that about the start button, you have to push for 10 seconds?
If you press and hold for 10 seconds it puts the car into "service mode" basically gives you access to everything without having the car running.
Xpipe and pull fuse 42. That's what I did and it sounds amazing.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I havent had any mods to my car yet , so what exactly is Xpipe?
@@stingrayguy8294 xpipe on the exhaust eliminates 2 of the catalytic converters to give a slightly louder sound.
I want a c7 so badly I cant stand it. They were just a touch out of my price range when i bought my last car which was in 2017. I still got a 2017 mustang 5.0, so I'm happy with it, but I'm hoping to get a vette next time. Really like your car. Planning on a red or black one myself
They really are amazing machines. I'm so proud to be able to own one, like I said before, this is literally my dream car!
Heck yeah, man! You can't go wrong with any of the C7 lineup!
Justin is there a way i can change exhaust sound to be all time Track mode on the c8
Hello, where did you get the front fender well "lips" "flares" sweet car, thank you. Rick
They are stock on the C7 Z06.
great video love your color choice on the z06. what was the name off the song at the end of the video? plz and Thank you
Thank you! The song is Cymatix - Raiders.
They may change the options in some of the things for the newer cars. Are you missing anything other than that?
@@HorsePowerObsessed- you would think that the C7 infotainment system software would be the same regardless of year. What is your software's latest update number? I will compare it with mine. Regarding your question concerning others differences, I have not noticed anything else but keep posting...I am sure I will eventually discover something different between our systems, besides the obvious. Thx for the prompt reply. 🙂🙂🙂
You're welcome! I know the 19s have a more updated system so it doesn't surprise me that some things are different.
Bad Ass shades I got 3 pair including the x squared I love um
Definitely a fan of the Oakley's! 👍👍
My gripe with my M7 is that I wish it has the 7th gear lockouts on track mode
That would be an interesting addition but with that said, I've never accidentally shifted into 7th gear.
Very good and informative video, and I even don't have got a C7 (yet)...😂
Greetings from the Netherlands
Thank you! 👍👍
Does your carbon ceramic brakes squeal because mine does and they are still good ? And do you know how to eliminate that
Great video great info thanks
Thank you!!
If the car could start out of park would be amazing since I have my clutch and break pedal in already. Not sure I can do that though.
Not sure what you mean...
Is the exhaust mode option only on the Z06..?
No. Any C7 with the stock NPP exhaust.
????
@@HorsePowerObsessed ok. But isn’t the NPP an added option ??
Great info/vid. I have a question, if you had the opportunity to purchase a 60th anniversary (non 427) c6 w 8k miles....versus a 2014 or 15, price being equal??? My delemma
While they are both awesome cars I would choose the 2015. I've always loved Corvettes but none of them have really grabbed my attention the way the C7 has.
Thanks for the info. Dealers never tell you all the info or they just don’t know
You're welcome. I think they just don't know which is really a shame.
Question... Is Sport and Track exhaust "sound" the same? Does making it let's say going from sport to track mess with throttle response at all also or are they both the "same"?
Throttle response between the two is different but the sound of the exhaust is the same.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Thank u
Thank you very much 👍
You’re very welcome!
Vallet mode please
Yet another big help!!!! Lol... changing all settings now haha
Awesome man! I'm happy to help!
did you remove the 20amp fuse for exhaust valves to stay open also?
I did at one point but never noticed any difference in sound so I put it back that way I could close them if I ever wanted to but I haven't found a reason to yet! 😈
Great video and many congrats on reaching 10k subs! Keep up the great work
Thanks, man! I appreciate the support! 😊
