While it’s sad and upsetting to hear what happened to you, I couldn’t let your comments go without a reply. It is an entirely false claim that the Sandyeggo Designs seatbelt stay causes drag on the seatbelt. Our stay is made of a hard ABS plastic with a smooth surface that has a very low coefficient of friction. It has been thoroughly tested and excessive drag is not occurring with our product. There are other similar products out there made of rubberized edging material. Those will cause a high degree of drag on the seatbelt. But ours does not. A more likely cause of your issue is (1) the rather weak retractor in the C7, and (2) the twisting path the seatbelt travels through the guide and into the opening in the sidewall. Sometimes that is made worse depending on seat back position. Again, it is very painful to hear of what happened. That’s for sure. But, I challenge you or anyone to prove your claim that the Sandyeggo Designs Seat Belt Stay causes excessive drag on the seatbelt. Respectfully, Dave
SED Admin - I appreciate the response. Sorry that my review isn’t what you want to hear. However I stand by my comment. First, I purchased the clip directly from you from this email if you need to look it up. So mine was from your company. Have a good day.
I just installed the seat belt clips and I don't see how in any way it would restrict the belt from retracting. I don't understand the problems that a couple here have expressed. There is just no way, in my opinion. The material is slick ABS plastic, the opening is not obstructed at all. I just don't see it. No way.
I had the new door dogs on my black C-7 and the passenger side rubbed the edge of the door. He told me to take them off and would send some new ones. Haven't heard anything for awhile.
I heard about this. Contact him back and see what he'll do. I know he redesigned it with adjustable handles for this exact reason. The 2 screws on the bottom allow you to move the handle up and down to prevent it from hitting.
As to the Door Dog, love it! I'm glad I watched through to the very end of the video because I was going to comment on the bit of silver color showing between the front of the Dog and the rear edge of the door. BAM! Lastly, in your hidden compartment, if you have your cell phone tucked away in there will it still work so that you still have your Bluetooth available for hands-free answering? Save the Wave.🙋🏼♂️
That's exactly why I put that message in the beginning. I like how Dave handles this kind of stuff so I wanted to make sure everyone knows! My cell phone will fit in there but on the hotter days the phone will overheat in there as well so I don't typically leave it in there.
