These are some of the harder to find options in the car. I've been asked a few times how I got the display I have showing on my dash so I thought I'd put together a video demonstrating how to separate the screen selection from the drive mode selection. GM allowed you to set this car up the way you want it and in doing so you can literally separate all of the drive mode settings to really have the car the way you want it.

Off the subject but what do you think of LAMBO DOORS ON A C7? Love your site have added a lot of the same mods you have. Keep up the good work
I appreciate that! I think if lambo doors were done right they would be okay but all the kits out there aren't really up to par in my opinion. basically the door doesn't open straight up like it does on a lambo It has to open out first and then up and that typically causes issues with alignment.

Great job. You forgot only one thing for the Valet mode. It also locks the screen so it cant be lowered.
Hi when I change between modes it doesn't change the display any reason why?
Just a quick note, in valet mode it also locks the drop screen in case you have valuables stored in there also.

Valet mode also locks the drop down infotainment screen thus disabling the screen push button. You should have shown u can change the oil temp display to show current horsepower being used. 👍

Great info Vlog Justin! Hey, you mentioned how JTs car seemed to ride a little smoother than your Z07 package. I just had the MAG ride update done to my Carbon 65! Wow what a difference. I highly recommend having it done to your car. Much smoother ride and it simply soaks up all the bumps now!! General Lee Out!

I had the software update done too.....smooth enough for my wife to ride in the car.....huge WIN. Mine has the Z07 package. The Touring is the real noticeable change...SportCup2 tires....the thing is still a beast in Sport/Track.
Was it the Z07 package on your car?
@@HorsePowerObsessed No Sir, no Z07 package. However, the researchers said this was initially done for the Z06 with the Z07 package. I'm positive you'll notice a difference! They also say the noticable differences will be felt most with the 2015s and 2016s! Because the 18s are real close to the 19s! But I noticed a difference! General Lee Out!

Thank you! None that would interface with the car that I know of. There are a lot of options as far as cell phone use, though
Valet mode also locks the media screen that slide up and down as well
Would like to know how to turn on/off the speed limit warning. Cannot find it in the manual.
We had the oil changed and there used to be a green halo around the tachometer that transitioned to yellow, orange and then red when the oil needed to be changed. Our reading says it's at 100% after the oil change, but something was done so that the green light no longer appears. I really liked that light. Do you know how to get it back?

Thank you! That's a heck of a car you're getting! Clear bra and ceramic coating are the first things I'd recommend. After that maybe an attack blue air filter for a bump in HP and better filtration. 👍
Great info. I like it set up like you do with all the information. Mine doesn’t seem to save though. I have to change it every time I start the car again. Speaking of is there a way to save the drive mode permanently so I don’t have to change that every time I restart the car, and also rev match... is there a way to keep Revmatch permanently on?
Rev match has to be turned on every time. I wish it didn't but unfortunately that's the way GM made it for whatever reason. My display mode stays, though. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't..

I have a 2919 C7 grandsport corvette.. i have the Pdr function and the valete button also.
No my pdr button seemed to disappear when I took it to the dealership and had a keyfob reprogrammed. Has this happened to you ?

You're very welcome! I use Mobil 1 extended performance oil. Full synthetic and easily obtainable. There's actually a coupon going right now that will give you $12 back off of the 5-quart jug. You need to 5-quart jugs to do the oil change on a Z06. send me a message on Instagram if you want more information on that.

I did like the video, but the only I wish u would have done, was when u were in valet mode and u were talking about the PIN number u should have told been is the pin is anything u choose at that time to set it, it’s not a set pin u have to program into the car, and when u do put a random pin in its going to hv u do it a second time. Hello. just watched your "hidden" dash options and was wondering if you have come across a feature that turns a light on or off at the footwell.. I drive sometimes at night and I would like to have some sort of light at my feet. Thank you for the great info you provide to everyone. Oh I have 2019 C7 Stingray
There is a knob on the left side of the dash that might turn that off if you turn it all the way down.
if the C7 is in valet will let the convertible top down ?
Occasionally when the navigation is selected for the dashboard displayed... the navigation doesn't show only a green navigation arrow

It looks like this video has helped quite a few people, so kudos for that, but none of this stuff is hidden at all. Everything here is covered in the manual which I highly recommend owners read! This car has enough menus/buttons/options/etc that even the most tech savvy person will probably learn something from reading it.
Yes sir. That's why hidden is in quotes. It's mostly stuff people could learn by looking through the manual but it is easier to watch someone actually do it.

I have a question about seat memory. I have a 2014 2 LT stingray and the issue is the easy exit function works fine but after the door is closed and I go to re enter the car as soon as I open the door everything goes to seat memory position one. I have to manually press the easy exit button to get in. I have read the manual, have watched videos on seat memory, tried both key fobs, nothing fixes it. By the way it is an M7. Any ideas? Car only has 8000 miles on it.
You'll want to make sure easy exit options are on. Set your seating position as position 1 and make sure exit is far back but not all the way back or it will cause an issue.
I would like to know how to get my driver’s seat to stay all the way back as I have set it in EXIT. When I open the door, the seat creeps forward a few inches. Makes it difficult for me to enter.
You'll want to make sure you have easy exit options turned on and that it is set to door open instead of ignition. It should put the seat almost all the way back (half an inch or so forward to prevent issues).
My c7 infotainment system has started to jump up and down. Dealer changed the battery and it was good for 3 blocks until I have the same issue. Is there a reset procedure or other to look at?
If you’re talking about the screen, it might be an issue with the cable that goes between the screen and the module
So, just bought a 2014 c7 and it is my first corvette. I hope this is not too dumb a question but is there an actual fuel gauge somewhere that can be displayed or is the only thing available the Miles Remaining screen?
The top right analog gauge is for your fuel.
just got a 2016 stingray - i cannot get outside temp to show on upper left of screen- any thoughts?
It's default to show on the infotainment screen. If it's showing just 2 dashes then it might be a temperature sensor issue.
17 Z06. If you hold the down shift lever and the up shifter on the time will it shift the transmission into neutral?
No it won't. That still has to be done via the shifter on the console.

The C7 does not have power mirrors.

is the alarm system on the c7 theft proof are is there something extra that can be added?
It will sound an alarm when tilted or when you put your hand inside an open window but that's about it. You can always add an aftermarket alarm.
I have a 2014 c7 - can the engine management sound be changed to track ? And why didn't my 2014 c7 come with a tow hook receiver - nothing to screw into now?
The engine management sound can only be changed with the NPP ex haust which you would not have if you don't have a Z51. The Z51 package is also what determines if you have tow hook receivers.
My right side mirror no longer tilts when backing up- any idea on settings? or is it a mechanical problem??? Thanks in advance

I like what u had to say, but One thing that you should have mention which someone else on RUclips talked about also didn’t mention when you put a four digit pin in it can be any pin you choose at the time you put it in valet mode because people might be thinking what pin number where do I get this pin from or how do I set it up, it’s any four numbers you choose at the time u use valet mode. Valet mode also locks the display screen. When you turn off valet mode, if they attempted to access behind the display screen, the screen will automatically drop!

YOoo so in my corvette at night the lights change automatically like the inside gets really bright and at the front it lowers its brightness of the headlights
than it lowers the inside than brighter in the out side! can you help or know how to fix it ?
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Can you give me more detail?
Thanks for the info,however, you may want to include the year and model of your car because it appears not all models give the info on the dash cluster.
Mine is a 2015. The newer ones have more information that shows in track mode.
What kind of update did the dealer perform on your PDR?
It fixed a color issue and made it slightly clearer.
Where do you put the SD card for the PDR?
Right in the glovebox to the left of the actual opening there is a slot for it. 👍
May be a dumb question, but if you don't have magnetic suspension does the steering controls do anything? Pretty sure I have that in my car. I just got it 4 days ago.
You mean the dial? Even without mag ride it still controls steering wheel stiffness, throttle response, traction control, etc.

on my car when i select different sounds for exhaust it does not change anything at all as far as sound, or do you only hear it when driving ?
You can actually lock the exhaust sound to tour which will keep it quiet all the time or even track which will keep it loud most of the time. You do this in the settings on the radio under vehicle.

Regarding the PDR recording, where do you put the sim card in at?
The memory card goes into the slot in the glove box.

My ‘ 19 Z06 doesn’t have “stealth”. I think stealth was for the regular c7 to close afm and muffler valves

Question, when you set the PDR to valet mode, will it continue to record when the valet turns off the ignition and then restarts the car?
No. It would be really awesome if it did though. It only records when the car is on.
Richie Rich high desert so the pdr will stop recording with ignition off, but once valet fires it up, recording resumes. I would prefer recording is triggered by either weight sensors in the seats OR even better, motion sensors in the cockpit. My CF-18 Hornet records once I jump in the hot-seat, weight, motion, and temperature gradient triggered.

Maybe it was already mentioned... but in Valet Mode, it will also lock your screen so it won't open. And when you turn Valet Mode off, if someone tried to open the screen, the screen will open automatically when the Mode it turned off.
I did mention that the screen locks but I didn't know it would unlock afterwards if someone tried to open it!

Yes it can, but only on the 2017's and up.

Unfortunately, the C7 doesn't have that option.
I have a question is that carbon fiber dash stock or did you add it ?
It was stock on my Z06. It was an option from factory though so some of the C7 Corvette's didn't get it.

How to display trans oil temp?
If you put the display into track mode it will show the trans temperature as well. Do you have an automatic?
Might be a stupid question but what does the membrane switch do on the end of directional lever
It's actually not a switch. It's just a blank.

Volume knob all the way down or push in on the volume knob will do it as well.

My instrument cluster went totally black.can I reset to make it come back on. This happened after my battery went dead.

There's not a way that I know of. You may try disconnecting the battery again, but other than that you may want to visit a dealership.
Do sport mode lower the car ride
Unfortunately, no. That would be awesome, though.
How much does it cost to do a oil change
You can get it done with full Mobil 1 synthetic oil for around 35 - 38 dollars if you do it right.
Can the MSR be controlled or does it automatically engage with trans mode?
You mean the magnetic ride control?

The dial on the center console changes between tour sport or track for suspension modes.

It locks that screen also so they can't get what you put in the mini storage area behind it.

what is the story with the automatic C-7 always going into V-4 no matter what the setting is in. This is ruining my torque converter not to mention the hardship on the transmission
With the automatic that is unfortunately the situation. If you want to stop this from happening you can get the Range device here: amzn.to/3dIWBks. That will prevent the car from ever going into 4 cylinder mode.

The SD memory card is stored in the glove box area.
My gauge has temp and gas on the right. Mph on right. Tf is that on yours?
Mine is a Z06 so instead of temperature it's boost.
