    Thank you so much. This is a blessing for a single mom unable to afford hearing aids and masking devices. You have brought tears to my eyes. The first time I listened to your sweeper I was driving, there was a 5 sec or so section that made me feel like i was in a silent space. I pulled over and started crying. Its been over 20 years since I heard and felt a tinge of what silence was like.

I have an appointment with an audiologist in a few weeks and hopefully we can start on some process of figuring stuff out. My right ear does make some crackly sounds when I face down, so it may be something with my right ear, but have no clue. I do clench my jaw and grind my teeth at night and also suffer from anxiety and depression which only seem to exacerbate my tinnitus. I also have stopped smoking weed and that seems to have helped. I can feel the freq like giving vibration into my brain, like breaking the T into smaller pieces. I can feel micro vibration in my jaw too. Will do update comments next week. Hopefully there will be positive reduction. Thank you for these. Without your experiments, we dont know what else can be done.

    I have idiopathic tinnitus, and my hearing range is unaffected i can hear this (which is always nice to know). The way i mask mine is simply to have any background noise sufficiently loud from almost any frequency like white noise. This 18K one works well, but the 8K one works too.
    This got my curious and i opened a spectrum analyzer on my phone. Dale quick question: I have a sound around my house and in the neighborhood that's exactly 18375Hz. It is -90 inside in my basement and -70/-80 outside. Is it a cell tower, satellites or maybe something close like hydroelectric counters? It's not natural as it's always the same frequency.

      There is a water pumping station a block away that was sending out 4.8kHz tone for a few months. It was quite directional only affect a couple houses in the area. My neighbor called the company and, the technician wrote a report. Sound went away a couple months later and was likely a bad bearing in the pump. It tool awhile to identify the source.

Listening to clips like this, doing CBT or other forms of therapy, learning habituation and doing our absolute best to stop focusing on it…..which I struggle with terribly but I’m also new to it so hopefully over time, I will be able to, which I’m sure you will also. I have to ranges of tinnitus. I have a lower pitched noise that sounds like I'm standing near a waterfall. And then there are various higher pitched noises like hearing my heart beat, hearing a train sometimes in one ear, and also sometimes hearing tone type noises. The lower pitched loud waterfall sound luckily seems to disappear when I'm around noise like around the house with the A/C going and the tv going, etc. Otherwise it would constantly sound and feel like I was getting sucked down into a large whirlpool.

      This is my experience, as well. I have a high-pitched tone that I can't find any sound to match and cannot make the sound myself. It's an odd cross between tinny, piercing, and melodic. That being said this 18 seems to ease it at least while I'm listening. It's such a relief!

    Dale, my tinnitus seems to be at some of the highest levels like this 18,000 but there is still a “higher” whistle like sound that I can’t seem to mask at any frequency. Which of the mask sounds would you suggest? Thanks for all your help. I’ve had this, with no escaping it, for decades.

      It is so dependent on each unique listener, it is not possible to point to one sound that fits. Here is the sampler of many frequencies: ruclips.net/video/IaZk8NbzxXU/видео.html Maybe a broadband noise color ruclips.net/p/PLHT0KXyNdGc6rbFiyTTId5tdDmOsp7MU4 or lower frequency would be beneficial. Try a few and see. Be well.

    I've been listening to this a lot since my tinnitus has only gotten way worse since last april and it really helps, just to have a short period of almost complete silence, overall making my tinnitus a bit suppressed for a few minutes or when I have to learn/focus on something i listen to it, but quiter to overall mask my tinnitus a bit.
    My right ear specifically has always been ringing a lot more than my left and it's really gotten to a point now that it makes my quality of life overall a lot worse. I'm still in my early 20s and im really worried just how long I will be able to keep this up considering it gets way worse just in a span of a single year.
    Not even that extremely espensive Lenire treatment that i have made any difference so far, I wonder if there's anything else I could try, I went to have every scan possible and every doctor/treatment available and nothing helped and no one knows what's causing this.
    I could've never imagined my life would turn out to be so miserable just because of ear ringing.

      @luci_______________ Год назад

      Hiya, i was just wondering how long youve been using the Lenire treatment? I was hoping to ask about that treatment when i went to my audiologist later in the month. Was one of my last hopes to kick this screaming demon out of my head, but hearing that youve had no improvement while using it kind of puts a damper on things. Im also in my early 20s and i also dont want this to rule me for the rest of my life. Thank you.

    Thank you to the ends of the earth Dale ! You are helping so many tinnitus suffers!
    After one hour of listening to this with EarPods, my dual tinnitus is almost imperceptible. Holy moly!
    While writing this & trying not to move my head & neck, it’s creeping to a 2. A 2 is better damn sight better than it’s usual volume of 7-8.
    Do any other listeners feel their tinnitus is affected by the barometric pressure, the moon phases, or their neck muscles?

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  2 года назад +1

      Hi Donna, Yes to all of those factors though it is unique for each. For instance, Low pressure weather or a head cold do it for me. When I have a cold, or some slight infection, then the moving of neck muscles changes the sound. The Sipoi researchers in France were doing a study on the neck and head muscle and bone movement affecting some peoples' tinnitus last summer. I have not seen their findings yet. The moon phases often follow our internal cycles (or vice versa), so that seems plausible for some as well. I am only speculating from personal experience and observations of commenters. Thanks for listening.

    First of all - Thankyou so much!
    I have very good hearing so sadly I can hear really high frequenzies such as my tinnitus tone - very high single tone - much like an old tv. This is maskibg that perfectly even at very low volume wich I am so pleased with. I would love to listen to this when I fall asleep, the most soothing sound is running water, could you possibly combine this 18khz sound with running water It would be such a blessing. Thanks for your awesone work!

    Dalesnale. How would one go about taking your maskers and having them play based on an interval of say 5 seconds sounds to 3 seconds of no sound? I find this interval method more effective as a continuous mix eventually causes my tinnitus to pierce through but an interval sort of "resets" each time and has more an a permanent effect. It also doesn't cause noise fatigue. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    • @xXxLax4LifexXx
      @xXxLax4LifexXx 2 года назад

      Ive had this exact thought! It might be a matter of recording this directly into a daw and changing the intervals yourself.

    Excellent! I still do not understand how I can hear these high frequencies. What I hear all day and night everyday is still somewhat or slightly higher pitch sound. Thankfully, my hearing is still in tact. I hear everything although from a distance, some words are distorted. The louder the background like TV or radio, the more words are distorted. Plus loud noise including TV and radio is very painful to my ears. This video is providing some much appreciated relief! THANK YOU!

      There is a bit of lower frequencies tapering off above 10 kHz so that listeners are aware of the presence of the audio if their hearing range does not go to 18 kHz.
