Not only did you restore it back to better than its original form ! But you went above and beyond by adding the headlights and the new rubber tires and made it better than when it was new ! you truly are a artist keep up the great work I love your videos👍🏼🤩
Welding and finishing of broken tabs is excellent. This impresses me every time! Sewing tips for next time: wash and pre-shrink your cotton duck, then iron. That's what happened to the original: it wasn't preshrunk, the truck got left out in the rain, and the cotton canvas cover shrunk. When you are sewing, the most important thing is the iron: keeping your fabric ironed gives you a better looking result. Love to see your beautiful vehicles, the wacky sheep, and Quality Control Kitty!
I love the way you bring an item To be restored by your tow truck, it's like it's going to be alright this guy is going to make you look like your old self so I am taking you to get made over. I am in my seventies an I really enjoy watching you. God Bless you my friend.
When I saw this one, I was afraid it was more rust than truck at this point; but you proved me wrong! Every one of these restorations makes me happy: I love seeing once loved and now trashed things being brought back to life. What wonderful work you do!
I should have known that sewing would be among your many talents and that there would be an official Chip Channel sewing machine to go with it! GREAT JOB on this one.as usual.
It's interesting to wonder if the original assembler at the toy factory would have guessed that almost some 80 odd years later you would come along and restore this magnificent piece of history?
I never get tired of watching these restoration videos. These always come out better than when they were brand new. You do such awesome work. I really like the look of this vehicle with a vintage military look and working headlight upgrade! I would love to have this in my collection excellent restoration work!
These are such great toys, especially considering that it was the Great Depression era. My 97 year old mom, as she says, "never had anything called a toy". They didn't have shoes in the summer, running water, or electricity... ...Very much, a rich kid's wonderful toy.
You probably get this in every video, but it's incredibly satisfying to watch the paint and rust disappear during sandblasting. It just makes my heart happy. :)
Now all you need is a nice display cabinet for them. Maybe consider doing a colab with another channel ? You restore something for them, they make a display station for you - win win for both of you.
IF you love the work you do...... You never work a day in your life! Such a great job bringing back toys from the past. When your imagination was limitless while playing.
You did an amazing job on this .Surprised me a bit when you got the sewing machine out ..Well done .My Dad encouraged me to do dressmaking after buying a sewing machine for Mum who never showed interest so he did odds and ends on it lol..My favourite part of all in the renovations is the Sandblasting .It’s amazing just a few minutes and time and rust has gone away...Love watching the transformations 🥰
I've been watching your channel for a while now and I have to say, that the sandblasting is very satisfying. Even more than the powder coating. Love your work.
Good evening. Wow!! Stunning my Friend. These are not just models, these are the most Beautiful and Gorgeous works of Art. Your Restoration Skill and Top class Quality is Amasing. You really Love what you do and Create at the end. What a Beautiful collection you have now. You have a Good eye for detail when you are Restoring these Wonderful pieces of Art. Well Done my Friend. 😃😃😃💯💯💯💯👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I have not watched very many of your videos yet but I love the way you completely restore things instead of just fixing them or modernizing them like a lot of people do with things. Many people alter or upgrade things instead of restoring them back to original, but then they call them restored when they are not. Update: After watching the rest of the video I realized that you also alter things, so I take back what I said about you doing perfect restorations! You do PARCIAL restorations with modifications! Also known as renovations.
I came across your channel just about a week ago and I love it. I love seeing the work you do, the end results, your cute little cat Beaker and The Sheep. I know they are cotton balls with googly eyes, but I Love the sheep! lol. (Especially when they get thrown or hurt and the 'I'm Ok!' pops up.)
Just a suggestion - for your pliers, instead of using tape wrapped around the jaws how about using rubber tool dip on them? It would coat them in a soft but durable coating to prevent causing damage and can easily be redone when it eventually wears out. Just a thought....
If you watch closely during disassembly there were crimps on the inboard of the original axels to keep the wheels in place... but not on the replacements. Which makes me wonder: why replace them? Chip does amazing work, and of course it’s up to him how he wants to do so, but he always seems to replace serviceable axels & other rods but never really explains why 🤔 If it’s strictly for cosmetic reasons, they could easily be plated & polished. Again, the projects always turn out outstanding, but i always scratch my head about the axels 🤨
Thanks soo much for watching! I need to show it next time, I actually glue the wheels to the axle shafts and then let the axles spin in the body holes to roll, this keeps the wheels in place while keeping the sleeks design.
@@Gappasaurus I believe these crimps must have been reset, but not recorded. Because the axles has no barrier to prevent the wheels from roll to the middle of the axles.
Glad to see you eventually straightened that front fender...HA, no typo, back in the day that's what a 'bumper' did and was known as. If you needed to replace what we call a 'fender' you asked for a Mud Guard. Carry on.
Excelente restauracion de este camion militar Marx Light Up de la década de 1930, estupendo resultado obtenido con la colocacion de luces en esta pieza, mis respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.💯👍👊🤘
Excellent results. You are a skilled tinsmith and a seamster! A white star decal on the roof or on the doors would have been cool. Glad you put a chrome finish on the radiator grille.
It looks good, Chip. Recently I was dismantling an electric heater, and couldn't help but notice similarities in design and manufacture. It was assembled with the same type of mounting tabs. It just wonders me if toy manufacturing was really that much of an influence on modern design considerations. It most likely had some affect.
Makes one wonder if it is 'convergent evolution' in the sense that both manufacturers figured out "this makes putting it together easier" or one took note of how the other did it.

Nicely said🙂
This is such a wholesome comment.

Congratulation chip Channel the Fábio and Rafael from Brazil. The best restauration. Long life the Channel.
Maybe one day Chip can open a Toy Restoration Museum...
And display all of his restored toy collection
I should have known that sewing would be among your many talents and that there would be an official Chip Channel sewing machine to go with it! GREAT JOB on this one.as usual.
"I am not sewing. I am upholstering, which is one of the five original industrial arts."
Glad he goes the extra mile to wet sand. Shows he’s a good artist! Great video, keep them up!

Selection of tools and the noises they make is particularly satisfying.
Impressive work! I like the kitty, too

It's my favorite part of any restoration! LOL
Now....This one was fun to watch because you modified and replaced components and showed the process......great body color......WELL DONE
Chip, lovely work EXCEPT that your new canvas top needs a dye job of OD green. The original was that color!
I would agree, also, military trucks don't have any "chrome" either.
Does it matter if it’s not the same color as the real thing
Well, we can now add sewing to your list of impressive skill sets.👍
Now all you need is a nice display cabinet for them. Maybe consider doing a colab with another channel ? You restore something for them, they make a display station for you - win win for both of you.
The simplicity of this toy truck is why i sooo like it! Great headlights mod too.
The sheep look happy. Really nice restoration.
And he can even sew. A man of many talents.
Aujourd'hui vous nous faites une démonstration de couture ! Félicitations pour l'ensemble de vos réalisations.
I really appreciate these older toys. This one looks like a piece of handcrafted art. 💕♥️💕
IF you love the work you do...... You never work a day in your life! Such a great job bringing back toys from the past. When your imagination was limitless while playing.
Love the videos, but in this one- I was a little heartbroken you didn’t keep those gorgeous wooden tires! They were in good shape!
you did a great job restoring the military truck.
I love the Crispy Noise of Vehicles which you create while doing Restoration..
Carry on the Amazing Work

I love the opening how the toy tow truck takes the soon to be restored piece away

This is one of the most legitimate restoration channnels I’ve seen. I love your videos chip!!
This makes me happy bc my dad used to work for the navy
The sheep with the hard hats used to be my favorites, but cowboy hat sheep is quickly moving up the ranks
No love for Pilot Sheep? 😥
Pilot sheep and cyclops sheep tie for third
Great job, I like the white canvas, it adds character to the truck. Thanks again for another Awesome restore. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful restoration and a cute happy loving cat.
10 Star!
Love the making of the contact cods, and the canvas. The military is proud and so am I!!!!! Great job!
Beautiful work, looks new!
Thanks for share!

Probably the most stylish military vehicle I have ever seen, and happy to see your junkyard is always full
I'm glad that you got that sandblaster fixed now it really cranks
Nice only one thing missing... Commando Sheep XD
Awesome restoration. Love your little helpers. Thanks for sharing and saving another toy.
Wonderful as always! Long live the Sheep! And the Cyclopeep!
Nice sewing skills your mother would be proud. Nice job with the powered head lights that could of gone bad real quick if your drill slipped. A+

Un petit bonjour de France. Tes restaurations sont absolument incroyables. Bravo bravo bravo !!!
Should the grille have been done in a matte finish, as the army painted over all chrome parts on vehicles?
Wow, for someone to use the sewing machine for the first time you did a relly relly good job.
It looked like the rust was the only thing holding it together! Great work as always.
I was looking forward to today's video. Thanks, Chip!!!! 🤗
You never cease to amaze me, with the things that you build on the fly. You are truly talented.

Great restoration of a very cool looking truck. Nice one. 👍👍👍
You are amazing I played with that exact truck at my grandparents I loved going over there just to play with the old truck thanks for the memories
Love it! Canvas just needs to be green.
Beautiful job. My boys had Tonka trucks.
More than 50 years ago.
I enjoy the restorations and the personalities of your sheep!
That old piece of trap would still look good to use in the future
Amazing! Although I prefer when you do more faithful to the original toy restorations, I love how nice this this one ended.
Beautiful job, you take all details. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty fancy truck to be military - the bed looks like an Australian Type 304 "Tray" Ute. Whatever, it's a cool little truck and your work is awesome.
🏅🎖🏆👏 Excelente trabajo master...👍👍👍Saludos desde Viña del Mar Chile🇨🇱
That certainly was the appropriate tow truck to use!
Thats my favorite restore...so far, I'm waiting fore one in your wrecking yard
Pretty cool but it seems like there should have been a spacer for the wheels. Nothing stopping them from going together.
Sprintmademe; I've never seen anything like this before, not 🚫 even last year even in the past last decade/ 6 years.

You did a great job on the tarp
Thank you for working on the wyandotte toys it My home town and pre preserved a little history from it
Great resto, great vid, thank you! But I vote for original wooden wheels.
Nice to see al that work on it. As new!☺
You called that a rust bucket!! And BAM you brought it back from the. Brink thanks can wait for next bucket .
Oh I love that old looking tarp
Modification and restoration...nice job.
Its fascinating to see how toys that were used to be made from a sheet of steel. My dad called them tin can toys.
You did an excellent job on that truck. It was enjoyable to watch.
Great restoration. Very nice

A resto-mod in the truest sense of the word.

I love watching powder baking.
C'est toujours agréable de voir un excellent travail réalisé, et un gros câlin à notre ami le chat qui suit ça de très prêt.
My. God. Did. That. Truck. Come. Out. So. Sweet 🎂. Very. Nice 👍. Work. Lee
Excellent results. You are a skilled tinsmith and a seamster! A white star decal on the roof or on the doors would have been cool. Glad you put a chrome finish on the radiator grille.
Hey Chip
Another fine vehicle added to the fleet.
Take care

I mean, Tonka did build BBQ pits.
Hello mister beautiful restoration good job
It use to be all about the sandblasting, but then the sheep came... Gotta love them...
Amazing transformation!!!! Congratulations!!!!
All this state-of-the-art equipment, and then those scissors 😳
Very nice!
I believe that the addition of a U.S..Army's Star emblem on the roof and "U.S. ARMY" in stencil on the bedsides would have been great....
Enjoying all your Fantastic Restorations! Thank you! You are the best! Sincerely Maria😃👏🏻
Very impressed you know how to show!
Chip this is a work of art!
Fantastic Videos. I Love the playtoy from this time!
Some'd quit on the welding part. Good on you for bringing that mini back!
Looks incredible!! I could seriously watch your show all day!
Superb 👍 Looking really smart with its new clean canvas.
Always enjoyable to watch, this project looks like it’s in much better condition then a lot of what I see you restore.
