The way you attack the canvas with your palette knife , is extraordinary. Your initial dark strokes… it’s like a conductor of an orchestra.. Or a man beginning a fight for life over another swordsman. Colours perfect… as always… Congrats This is UP THERE WITH YOUR BEST!👏👏👏
Hi Richard, I love watching crashing waves and stormy seas. This painting captured the seas mood brilliantly. Thanks for sharing your talent again, You can see its appreciated by all the brilliant comments below. Take care in that sun, its important. All the best Bill
Ah, Man. That's so beautiful again. The Intro with all that Piles of juicy Paint was already promising. The old Impressionists would be proud of You. The Footage was also great.
I can't remember if I made a comment when I first watch this video a few months back, however I am going to comment now, and tell you that I love the feeling of the waves you captured, and the colors are wonderful. As for the skin cancer stuff, I can relate. I've had a few bits cut out here and there or "frozen" off before. It's the price of working outdoors. Take care.
Paint flying all over the place, that's a good sign. I really enjoy your paintings and your voice is energetic and calming at the same time. It's great I love it
Hi Richard. Another fantastic painting.full of movement and life and great blending of colour's. You are a throwback to the old impressionists.A truly talented Artist.and a pleasure to watch you paint.Jim from England.😊

Beautiful work :) Thank you Richard for the great guidance / commentary as you create these :) Much appreciated and congratulations on another wonderful painting ...
It's amazing to see all the process since the blank canvas to the final painting. You make it seem to simple but so beautiful. I'd loved that. I love the see and the rocks. Thank you so much 😁❤️
Wonderful to see you back in action! And what action it is…, I know of no other painter that captures the ocean like you do! Your painting is so captivating and inspiring, thank you for sharing, just love your videos!
Good morning Richard from the UK. Been watching you since lockdown and I am hooked, your inspirational technique, colour application Is amazing. I love the spectacular scenery and brings back memories when I spent a few years living on the West Coast. Thank you.
Wonderful movement in the sea and rocks give a great perspective Richard. Thank you for another excellent video of your artistic abilities. From a very cold Scot land I wish you and family a peaceful, healthy and enjoyable Christmas. Thank you. Cathy.
I’ve been watching and studying your videos for a couple years now and I’ve always been impressed with the style, technique, composition and subject matter. Lately you just seem to be nailing these recent paintings. Congratulations and thank you very much for sharing.
Another great painting. Yes you are right about the sun and snakes. Hat on and keep away from snakes. They are frightand of you just as much as you are of them.
Love the way you see the world!!! The rich colors you used in this are just stunning!!! Now that I'm entering a break time from teaching, I'm hoping to spend a bit more time with my own palette knife in hand and see what I can do!! You are such an inspiration!!
Beautiful! I love coastal and ocean paintings. They are my favorite! You really captured that wave with perfection. I'm not a winter gal since I live in Texas, so love watching your videos painting warm seasoned coastal masterpieces during cold months here. A steamed cup of coffee and RME videos are great!
You have inspired me enough to begin my oil painting again. My Favorites are the seascapes, mood and colors. I’m fascinated by your technique, enjoy the camp cooking, philosophy, tours. I am concerned about the wildlife and creepy crawlies in Outback. Thank you for detailed information.
(David) You've made many great seascapes, but what I really like about this one is the level of abstraction on the right side. Very nice capture of the energy and flow. Great Stuff!
Wonderful to see you again. Listening to you and watching you paint and seeing your photography is very calming, very Zen for me. Thank you, thank you.
Hello Richard, nice to see you again. Your rocks look fantastic with all that variety of colors, and let's not talk about that crashing wave and the foam that forms when it meets an obstacle. Your painting is magnificent like all the previous ones. Congratulations to you. Take care of yourself, we know the sun is dangerous, especially in Australia.
G'day Richard, another magnificent coastal scene, captured in Musgrave-Evans style. Love the way you have played the dark rocks and the crashing, white surf off of each other. It does focus the eye as a key point of contrast and drama. There is always an inspirational feel about your coastal scenes. They uplift and dance on the eyes, there is energy and movement. "The near and far, the lost and found" as you always so eloquently put it are a trademark of your creativity and style. Enjoyed this one my friend, cheers Rich.
Impressive start, I love to see where you are going with the strokes of bold dark. The color of your oceans seem different than the ocean off Maine. Near me. There is turquoise! I only see deep blue green in our water.thank you for thoes luscious paintings of Australia!
👋Hello Richard, how are you? - Thanks for this excellent demonstration of your fine artistic skills! You have already explained the most important facts about this beautiful artwork. The contrasts of light and dark, opaque and transparent colors are great! We see calm water and then this wave hitting the granite rocks with full force, causing the whitecap to burst into countless droplets. Pure movement and energy. I also like the atmospheric sky, the darker, calm-looking sea on the horizon and the wonderfully transparent eye of the wave in the middle. Great colors, fantastic work ! - Have a good weekend, take care. 👍❤
Master strokes! Brilliant way of painting. At the beginning I was wondering how to fill all that canvas with a palette knife. But it happened. Thank you Richard.

Hi Richard, I just discovered your videos. Thank you for sharing your work. Beautiful, especially the ocean paintings. This one and kangaroo island remind me so much of the caribbean island (bonaire) I used to live. After ten years living in the usa, this dutchie is ready to move and see the turquoise water again. In my case, I occassionally run the edge of a painting knife a couple of times along very fine wet-and-dry sandpaper stuck down to a small formica benchtop off-cut, to flatten back that sharp edge that eventually forms.
