Good honest review John. I own the exact same and find it difficult to put down - definitely a keeper. The neck pickup is definitely worth a mention, so good it actually gets used! I’ve also got the modern T7 with twin humbuckers which is so nice to play it’s become my go to guitar. Both guitars are better quality and play better than Fenders at twice the price.
I have the S7 but found the pickups to be a tad bright and not to my liking. I swapped them out for a different set which I prefer. Do you find the T7 Humbuckers and T7 Vintage single coil pickups to also be bright? I was looking at both guitars as I really like the neck on my Sire S7 HSS. Cheers.
As usual, beautiful playing John, but already owning a beautiful US made Tele, can't see just duplicating that one, but I certainly think that getting the Sire T7 FM versions with all its varied and expanded sonic possibilities seems like a great choice.
Hi John, Thank you SOooo much for this very good review of a guitar. Simply playing nice, with every nuances of a real guitarist. And not on a cheap amplifer recorded with the phone microphone XD I've found other reviews with guitarist playing some fingerpicking etc... but I was curious to hear something exactly like that, exploring the whole colors of this instrument which is very nice to play. Now I'm sure that, after having tested it last week, it is the one I need to what I have to do. Very really nice, emotional, smooth and technical guitar playing sir ! Thank you for that. You win a new follower here ^^ Bye ps : Excuse my English, French here 🤗trying to do his best.I actualy don't use any translators ^^
Hey man! Thanks for all the content. You’ve easily become one of my top 5 players so thanks for inspiring us all. Got a question. Building out my home studio. And I use a stomp for all my session work at the moment. Are there any plugins that you would suggest I buy and/or IR packs you suggest I get to continue improving the tones I’m getting? Thanks in advance.
Hey Kaleb! Honestly, I haven't particularly bought IRs very often at all so I'm probably not a great person to ask! Valhalla Supermassive Reverb is free and awesome, and I've been trialling the Fab Filter stuff for a bit which has some useful tools. I know Izotope also has some very well regarded stuff, but I guess both fab filter and izo are kinda production tools rather than super guitar specific?
I know this video is like 2 yrs old old and you probably won’t see this but can you do a comparison between the Schecter PT special and the Sire T7.. Yes the Sire has a roasted neck and licking tuners but I believe if given a fair the chance and with your awesome playing the Schecter PT Special might surprise you? But I am curious on how the two guitars compare to each other.
Question for the Tele owner/players out there. Does the location of the pickup switch and the control knobs ever interfere with your strumming/picking hand? Especially strumming, do you ever hit your hand on the hardware?
Why do you still have the tag on? Are you not keeping the guitar? I'm getting one today for my birthday. Fiesta red color, and Sweetwater upgraded my shipping to Priority Express for free just so it gets here today on my birthday, which was really nice of them.
I wonder how a Freeway 6 position switch would sound on that. Crazy on the 10 position Strat switch. Perhaps I'll hack the top horn on the strat ha. Wish Sire made a 3 pick up Nashville Tele. With a trem... Love your video/channel. Subscribed.
I've only got a Fender Avri vintage hot rod 60s Tele to compare to, and I say its a bit slimmer. Fret edges are rolled. radius is 9.5, I'd say it's a very medium thickness, not slim, not chunky
Man I can't wait for these to be available in the states. Such a sweet guitar, hungry for the red one. I've never had a Fender Tele myself but had a nice 90's squire as a kid, how does this compare sound wise to an actual Fender Tele? I know the pickups are made in house so I don't really know what to expect. Thanks!
Do not know about american tele, but ash MIJ Fender tele i know undoubtedly has a different tone. More bell-like tone with little bit different bass response - i would say more sharp.
reminds me of my fantastic Schecter Nick Johnston Strat (Indonesian)....which also doesn't really capture the Fender tone....but has its own uniquely magnificent sound.
@@bubblevest1544 That's been the one "problem" with Sire all along - they're so good, once word gets out, they sell out and get hard to find... Was the same with basses for a while until they increased factory capacity.,
ruclips.net/video/8TXUcKF2Ehs/видео.html Hey Dave - here you go. So you're aware I bought about 5 Sire guitars before they sent me some to review, and I've clearly disclosed when the gear has been sent to be reviewed - and then in the reviews, I'm not shy to point out issues. Which actually I sent feedback to Sire about the fret bevel. I also sent feedback about their treble bleed - which has since been addressed. So yeh, you couldn't be more wrong.
Great to hear a guitar review without tons of distortion allowing the character of the pickups to come through, great playing ,
I can’t get over the look of those Sire roasted maple necks, like caramel! Great playing as always. Have a great gig tonight!
I could listen to you jam for hours! thanks for another look at this guitar. It sounds and looks lovely.
Great, you and the guitar! Thank you. All the best in the new year from Switzerland.

Question about the T7 FM humbuckers - are they coil splittable?

Killer playing. I have a mexican strat but i dont have a tele type guitar, you make this Sire so tempting.
I've always admired your melodic tunes John, any plans on guiding us plebs by putting tutorials? Happy new year

Dude I follow you Channel for years ; i really need a honest advice ; would you buy this guitar over a fender ?
That goes for both of the Sire Larry Carlton Strats also.Amazing guitars.👍

What’s your take on the feel of the neck? Are the edges rolled, thick or thinner than a fender ? Be interested to know. Love the roasted maple.

I only wish they would offer up their single coil T7 with the flame maple top. Unfortunately those are only in the dual humbucker style.
last track sounds amazing
Interested in this , can this guitar do metal like alter bridge !? ❤
m@n you play like a god 💎🎖💎
i got recently the S7FM in sapphire blue translucent ...it's the best i ever had in my hands no doubt about this...
I love mine and it’s shed loads better than anything Fender puts out under £1100 .
Great playing. The tag reminds me of Hee Haw

Are you keeping it ?
Mr. Cordy, I'm sure you get asked this often but do you use 9s?
He uses 10s
10s!
Lovely
How do I learn chords like the ones you play xx
If you type in "Jonathan Cordy" chords on RUclips it'll show a few videos.
I have been sorely tested by the adverts for their 335's.... ;)
Overall, Sire produces really decent guitars at any price point ! For me they're just a bit too heavy. 7lbs my max.
Is this video a repost? I feel like ive seen this before.
Behave son.
Note Christmas hoodie, can’t be a re-post!
@@jakollee the Christmas hoodie was edited in post, I am indeed now running reruns on the channel like Friends or the Simpsons
If you want a Sire Larry Carlton guitar from Andertons they aren’t sub £500
Dave, you're consistently wrong. They're £499.
Those pickups don't have that classic tele sound, they are very bright
Could not agree more. I've watched a bunch of demo vids on it and a more modern take for sure but it definitely lacks a classic telecaster's warmth.
Do not know about american tele, but ash MIJ Fender tele i know undoubtedly has a different tone. More bell-like tone with little bit different bass response - i would say more sharp.
Just filming an AB with my fender vintage hot rod, and I think you're correct!
Beautiful all the same... it says sire on the headstock not Fender lol

Vintage, shmintage, nothing wrong with improving on a classic.
