Thanks for covering the Site Darrell! I just put money down on a Fender Tele FMT HH (which you just reviewed. Any thoughts on a comparison between the Sire T7 FM and the Fender FMT HH?
Who's the imposter telling literally everyone commenting that they're on a "short list" of winners...? Using your picture as their profile Pic as well Darrell
Last Year I had tested the T7 white. Absolutely great! It don't matters if you playing blues or rock music. A high quality guitar with a lot of character.
I finally got my Sire T7 with the zebra humbuckers in the same blue flame maple as this one here and it is stupendous! It took 10 months from ordering it to getting it through Sweetwater but it was totally worth it. Mine is just crazy good in every regard.
You are one of the best with your reviews. Highly experienced.I recently purchased this guitar in natural from G.C. after this review. Picker since 1971. If you have been playing a strat like myself, you will enjoy this guitar. Beautiful woods, contour, comfortable body and excellent neck, humbuckers.
@@MarkStokes-zb1yp why did you respond this way??? Im the only one that received something like this...dont like "old" guys"? says to me ------- Im a geek, nerd, dweeb -teenager? or just plain immature!
I like the look of the blue one better, but I love the sound of the other one more. I think the pickups are outstanding, especially that twangy single coil on that standard. Wish they made the single coil one with the trem and blue flame. I may have to by one of these.
The blue T7 is so beautiful. I really don't understand why most of the manufacturers don't put tremolo on Tele. Sire is a big competitor to Fender and Gibson but I love to see it.
Great review of this line of guitars that I'm only learning about recently. Love the idea that traditional telly has the sound that everybody has grown up loving with the sculpted neck joint which would certainly help with playability. The blue guitar top is outstanding. Would love to see a traditional pickup set up in that blue color finish also. I'm sure both are a gorgeous experience!
Love that blue one.. I got the S7 HSS about 6 months ago and it's flawless... the frets.. the neck.. stays in tune.. sounds very good. Thanks again for your in depth reviews.
Those do seem like a great value both in high quality parts and workmanship!! Fender does offer a tele that is a little similar, made overseas and rarely talked about! It's the Fender FMT HH and is made in Indonesia, with "Fender" displayed on the headstock! That one is mahogany with a maple cap, and a set mahogany neck with laurel fretboard. Pups are 2 Seymour Duncan humbuckers! The body and neck are bound and it has a graphite nut. The bridge is a string through hardtail and it does not have locking tuners. With the Gibson-like features it still has the 25.5" scale. They also are saying "flame maple top" with no mention of veneer. It looks very nice. In any case, still looks like good value for it's $999 price. Thought it was worth a mention. 8) --gary
The blue tele would be my fav workhorse, with the trem and some strat-tones as a bonus. Gorgeous axe, just have to get used to the immense gloss on the fretboard.
@@dannyrivers3922 You mean the 52 reissue by example. Yes it does. It just shows even more on a baked maple board. And therefore not quite appealing and not my cup of tea when it comes to feel. Anyway I would prefer a rosewood board like a lot of normal tele's have. Like the Am. Series tele I had.
Thank you so much for the demo. Love that Sire is providing standard what Fender charges as extra with locking tuners. I love a tremolo on a standard Telecaster which Fender rarely does save a yucky Bigsby. Wanted some dirt examples but if I'm honest the pickups aren't special. Kinda blah, particularly the neck setting on the Blue T7. Will buy something different but will keep my eye out on Sire for future models.
I have the tobacco burst version of the non flame top one. I think its just gorgeous like a piece of caramel candy, and it just sings..! Beautiful sounding tele, Im very happy with it.
Well after listening to you in your videos I want to thank you. Such good clear information. Was looking for a new electric guitar after playing acoustic on my Tackamine for 40 years . My beautiful wife said we could now afford a guitar . Bought a Gibson J 15 acoustic and then she said there is room for one more. Hello electric. Wow! Very good demo playing, strip down and discussion. I usually drift off watching RUclips guitar teardowns, but you kept me fixated to this one! Great work and thanks.
I was looking forward to hearing the neck pick-up on the Butterscotch Tele. Denied! These really seem like fantastic Guitars. I think I’ll get both of them. Thank you for making this video!!
I bought the S7, and wow, I'm blown away. This is definitly the best guitar I've ever played. The action, the tuning stability, the tone, the intonation, everything is flawless. I tought I'd have problems with the whammy bar but not at all. The only thing I'm kind of meh about is the volume knob, I've heard it's a treble bleed? And it's kind of close to my hand so sometimes I lower the volume without noticing. But definitly buy the L7 too. Quick question here for you: I want to buy a baritone guitar, mostly for rock/metal. You might not be a metal/baritone fan but I'd still like to hear what guitar you'd suggest. Thank you!

Thank you @DarrellBraunguitar I just received my T7 FM and the initial feel look and sound, awesome. Doing a deep dive this coming week. Appreciate your detailed review and enthusiasm!!!
I want a Sire so bad! I've been trying to sell off my CVs, Strats and Epi to get one each S-7, T-7, H-7. Hoping I can pull it off. Thanks for another awesome review Darrell!
Have you heard of IYV from Amazon. I bought one not expecting much, and was surprised. Very well made and plays & sounds much better than it’s low cost.
Thanks Darrell another great video as always, and I'd love to get one. Issue with Sire... can't buy one. In the US, back ordered with several web stores stating at the earlist May 22' - they've been out for 5 - 6 months. Looking to Europe, you have to wonder though... how Andertons has a good supply of these but aren't available at Thomann? You can find one Reverb or Ebay at inflated prices. Interesting though, Ibanez and Schecter guitars (mfg Indonesia) are everywhere. I'll just wait..... won't be buying a Fender anytime soon.... just announced another 10% price increase.... joke.....
Feel your pain. I live in Australia and ordered the S7 last month and was told it should arrive in February but I'm really not expecting it to after hearing how long other countries are waiting. There isnt a single Sire S7, T7 or L7 available in the country right now. It will be worth it when it comes though. :-)
Pulled the trigger a few weeks ago on the Fender FMT ... What a great guitar, plays like butter, I love it Thanks for the review Darrell But I do fancy the Sire Strat... My credit card is twitching.!!!
I have a Sire H7 Semi and a P7 Bass. You get a lot of guitar for not much money when compared to the guitars they are emulating. You will not believe your eyes and ears when you see and play one. The T7 is next on my shopping list.
Your usual thorough demonstration. The trem model is ideal for a variety band & the butterscotch plank a credible country/roots tool. So cool when you went behind the nut. You’re ready to take on the Danny Gatton/Roy Buchanan catalogue.
With those necks these seem like a great base for modding to your own needs... adding some nice pickups etc. I'd love to know if the pickguard matches a standard fender template? It would be a shame if those aren't an easy swap!
Great review as always Darrell. I'd love to see you review more amp's and some low watt not so loud tube combo options that give you a great tone. eg Harley Benton 15C v a Fender Blues Junior or a Marshall DSL Combo
Hey Darrell! I checked out your Music Album and I think it's Great! Great Guitar Musical Style! I wonder if most of your Channel Followers know just how good you are. Love the Album, keep the Music coming! (no, we aren't related or acquainted. I'm just a Music lover!). Another Great Video as well! Cheers!
I'd probably go Classic Vibe 50's in the same price range (but about $100 less) to get a pine body, regular maple neck and a fully lacquered neck since I don't like satin. These seem like great guitars though and it's always good with more options.
I am torn between buying a G&L Tele and this SIRE Tele, I have 2 G&L Strats that I am very happy with but every time I see the Sire being tested, I lean more towards buying Sire. Thanks for making my choice easier.
You should also check out FGN Boundary Iliad, if it's available in your region. They're made in japan with Gotoh hardware and superior japanese made pickups, compound radius fretboard also. They are in the same price range as the G&L and Sire T7, some are even a bit cheaper.
SX Furrian Tele HH. Amazing instrument. $225. W/ gig bag. $17 shipping. Rosewood fretboard, super finish, two point trem, pickups sound great. Alder body. I ain't don't know how they can produce these for the price. If you haven't looked at SX lately DB, worth another visit and review.
I'm sure it's already been said, but position 4 is just the neck pickup with the coil split. It's not both bridge and neck pickups like positions 2 and 3.
The tension screw for the term arm should be pushing on the back of the arm instead of the side, it's a detail I know, but important. Maybe you can turn the trem arm housing yourself, but it should be right from the factory FWIW
I want to buy the S7, right now...just sold my old Fender Mexican Strat, perfect to replace it, a real upgrade! I'll stick to PRSs as main guitars for the moment.
Sire! I'm sold! As I already have a fantastic US Tele, single coils, no choice for me but the humbucker T-style Sire. In addition, the whammy bar? Yes! These guys are really going to sell big numbers and undermine the big two with their amazing production quality and value for money.
I love Telecaster shap, but I prefer the Stratocaster's "inside body", it fits our body (belly) more than a classical Tele. And you've got the humbucker sound (LP in a way). The best of both worlds !!!
I was waiting for this review! After watching, the T7 FM is quite possibly my next guitar. Thanks :) So now that you have reviewed the Fender FMT and now the Sire T7 FM, do you have a preference for someone considering one of the two?
I second this question. I just finished watching both videos and have been going back and forth on which one to buy as my next guitar. The price point on the Sire is a big selling point for me, but I prefer the hardtail of the Fender over the tremolo. What would you say Darrell?
Hi. I just discovered your channel and I have subscribed. I enjoy the videos. While I focus on the purchase of high end guitars (PRS; Mayones; etc...), I have grown to appreciate your focus on "under the radar" guitars. I have purchased a number of "under the radar" high end such as Kemp; McNaught and Eggles but also some much lower priced guitars. I recently discovered the "Agile" brand from Rondo guitars in NH which are very, very affordable. I purchased 3 and I am impressed, especially with the fact that the maple tops are caps and NOT veneers. It would be nice to see a review of an Agile to get your thoughts. Happy Holidays.
Sire or Schecter? Hey Darrell Braun been a fan for years and have been watching your reviews trying to decide on a strat style. Both had stunning reviews and bang for your buck in custom shop like fit and finnish. Where would you spend your money if there could be only one.
Great stuff Darrell. I just got my S7 HSS in white and it is ridiculously good. Ohhhhh the neck.. It blows away my two Fender strat MIM's. Love seeing the T7 and one is on my list in the future.
Just came from your s7 sire video. And tbh I'm convinced... I'd be hard pressed to buy a reg strat or Tele now. These have much better specs and parts for cheaper! Only real issue is less variety in colors and finishes, I can live with that.
I recently got me a T7 FM. Had to get from France because no one else in the US could get them before I died of old age. I am a "beginner" guitarist and already am experiencing how well this guitar plays! Compared to the "similar" HB Fusion I have, which is now for sale.
These guitars are very well made. I love looking down at my guitar headstock and seeing the fender logo, but fender has some business practices I think are dumb. My Ibanez guitars are very well crafted, with Floyd roses, and about $500( jem jr, rg). A Strat with a Floyd rose is beyond my price range. Yes your name is fender, but the market is filling the space for people who love fender but want to save money. Ty for the reviews, they’re always very well done
Hey Darrell, could you please do some comparison between the different Tele copies in this price range? More specifically, I'm talking about between the Fender Player (MIM), G&L ASAT, Sire T7, and most importantly FGN Boundary Iliad. The FGN seems like a really good deal considering it's MIJ craftsmanship with Gotoh hardware and compound radius fretboard. The Sire is highly spec'ed but I am not sure about the QA and craftsmanship in general compared to the MIM and MIJ. I am also very interested in the pickup sounds, because ultimately the value of the guitars depend highly on if you need to replace the pickups to get sounds comparable to that of the Fender. Thanks!
Great review. Thank you! If you have time, I would be grateful for a piece of advice: I’m into jazz, and I’m hesitating, do you recommend this Sire T7 over a Fender Telecaster?
I had the twin humbucker one. It had number of issues so it went back. Bit more thought and refinement and I’m sure these can be great guitars. They’re not quite there yet.
Hey Darrell, great video! Loving the new opening! Have you heard of the new Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredders in exotic? I just got one for a crazy deal and it’s right up your alley! You should check one out!
Love the video and how those guitars LOOK! Can you tell me if they are using the same sales model as the Firefly? I just looked today and everything looks to be sold out.
How is this guy so friggin good, good sound, good video production! Why the hell isn't everyone like this cat...I'm angry at other RUclipsrs for being so bad!!!
Awesome guitar and great video as always! I think you should try using a smaller camera aperture for the close-ups ;-) There's no need for so much sexy bokeh all the time and it makes focusing more difficult. I noticed this in some videos before, but in this one was a bit extreme.
My views on the perfect guitar change every few months, but this one checks all the boxes from what I would have wanted in a guitar in 2018, down to the contours, rolled fingerboard, 5-way switch wiring and color! Very impressive.
Very nice review Darrell. (as always). I was looking at the Sire guitars a while back with a Strat model. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I am actually waiting for a delivery from Germany with a Harley Benton Les Paul Gold Top model with P90s. It has got quite a few great reviews, like the Sires do. I hope it will not be a disappointment as I am nervous buying my first budget guitar. (I have a Gibson LP, ES335 and ES135, so I am nervous how the HB will stack up). If you have any feedback on HB guitars, please feel free. Thanks... Phil NYC Area
It is a pity we don't have this brand represented here where I live, in Brazil. They are stuning in looks, and I liked very much the sound also, very good quality guitar! Please Larry Carlton come to Brazil!
Thanks Darrell for the review, a sire has been on my next guitar list to get and then I was torn between that and a G&L Commache... oh well, I guess I will have to get one of each...lol
Awesome satin finish on the back of the neck, then they slather a ton of gloss on the fingerboard and not only do I not like how it looks, I don’t like how it feels either.
Just got the T7 in antique white and I love it! The neck is amazing. The other “T7” flamed maple is basically the fender fmt HH with a trem. I’m thinking of getting the fender or should I stick with the Sire for $300 less and have an added Trem? You’ve played both, so what do you think? Do the Seymour Duncan’s really make a difference? Oh the choices we have to make!

Thank you for your in Depth review.
Once again you put out great information.
Great Darrell. When I get ready to buy a new guitar I will buy it through your channel links to support the channel.
Sire! I'm sold! As I already have a fantastic US Tele, single coils, no choice for me but the humbucker T-style Sire. In addition, the whammy bar? Yes! These guys are really going to sell big numbers and undermine the big two with their amazing production quality and value for money.
I just ordered the guitar today from the only place I know of that even has one in canada.
Darrell, that Neck pickup in Position 5 @ 5:52 sounds amazing !!! What a beautifully-balanced tone !!!
Thanks :)
So now that you have reviewed the Fender FMT and now the Sire T7 FM, do you have a preference for someone considering one of the two?
I second this question. I just finished watching both videos and have been going back and forth on which one to buy as my next guitar. The price point on the Sire is a big selling point for me, but I prefer the hardtail of the Fender over the tremolo.
What would you say Darrell?
Hi. I just discovered your channel and I have subscribed. I enjoy the videos. While I focus on the purchase
of high end guitars (PRS; Mayones; etc...), I have grown to appreciate your focus on "under the radar" guitars.
Nice guitars! Thanks for featuring them.
I never saw a blue tree so I bought the T7 FM - Flame Maple. A beautiful guitar and absolutely brilliant in every way.
Love the blue one! Great tones! Thanks Darell......Sal : )
Thank you for your great videos, guitar sound awesome and beautiful to look at, also playing is inspiring.
I am torn between this Sire T7 and the Fender Player Plus Strat. Any recommendations?
Thank you! If you have time, I would be grateful for a piece of advice:
I’m into jazz, and I’m hesitating, do you recommend this Sire T7 over a Fender Telecaster?
I’ve recently got the Sire S7 Strat in antique white. It’s a great guitar with great attention to detail.
I had the twin humbucker one. It had number of issues so it went back. Bit more thought and refinement and I’m sure these can be great guitars. They’re not quite there yet.
What were the issues? Also how was the tuning stability with trem use?
got the t7 on a deal. Fantastic guitar for the price and I love the stock pickups too as opposed to many who apparently changed them for better stuff
As always, another GREAT VIDEO!
Thanks Darell for another great video. I am waiting for L7 review, I have purchase guitar 2 months ago.
Hey Darrell, great video! Loving the new opening!
Have you heard of the new Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredders in exotic? I just got one for a crazy deal and it’s right up your alley! You should check one out!
That blue one definitely has a Strat sound with the Tele looks. I like them both!
Love the video and how those guitars LOOK! Can you tell me if they are using the same sales model as the Firefly? I just looked today and everything looks to be sold out.
I can't believe somebody came out with an affordable T style guitar with a trem! That thing sounds amazing.
You had me from the first strum. Good sounding, beautiful guitars!
As usual, a great review! Thanks Darrell!
Verra nize.
Thanks...

Wow another awesome sire guitar. Now I can add a Tele to my sire list. Best part is can get 2 sires for the price of 1 from another manufacturer.
Awesome satin finish on the back of the neck, then they slather a ton of gloss on the fingerboard and not only do I not like how it looks, I don’t like how it feels either.
Thank you again Darrell! Love your content and this was especially helpful! 😉

What is this?
Just got the T7 in antique white and I love it! The neck is amazing. The other “T7” flamed maple is basically the fender fmt HH with a trem. I’m thinking of getting the fender or should I stick with the Sire for $300 less and have an added Trem? You’ve played both, so what do you think? Do the Seymour Duncan’s really make a difference? Oh the choices we have to make!
