Just an FYI. The ashtray is NOT the Bridge. The ashtray was a removable cover that went OVER the bridge. People took it off and placed it upside down and used IT as the ashtray. Because of this it often got lost which is why you don't see many old Telecasters with them. The Bridge is the Bridge and NOT the ashtray.
Thought you ought to know. Best Regards.

Everything you said about it is true. I've had mine for 2 months now and it is amazing. I would rather have this than even consider spending 2 or $3,000 on a Fender.

Great review. Thank you! If you have time, I would be grateful for a piece of advice:
I’m into jazz, and I’m hesitating, do you recommend this Sire T7 over a Fender Telecaster?

I love my T7. I’ve lowered the action and thrown a hybrid set on 9’s on it. Recently did a pickup swap for some Dimarzio’s, 500k pots, 4 way switch, and a killswitch button for the hell of it

One of the best and enjoyable reviews on the channel . Thoroughly appreciated this and have watched it several times. After a year or so of flip flopping I ready to purchase this guitar. Thanks Jimmy !

Great review. As someone that is not anywhere near your shred level, I wonder what you think of the rolled edges for bends/vibrato? A couple of years ago I had a Yamaha Pacific (their top model), however the frets were rolled and neck was more "skinny" than my Fenders...I noticed I would ALWAYS have the E string (mostly the top string/low E) slip off the rolled edge when playing, if I didn't play absolutely perfectly accurate....it was frustrating. While the Fenders have nowhere near the nice fretwork, I don't have that issue on them. I wonder if you noticed that at all while jamming on the S7 or T7?

I purchased my Butterscotch T7 from Sweetwater last month, which they immediately replaced after it arrived with shipping damage on the headstock (great customer service, btw). I've always wanted a Butterscotch Tele, but never pulled the trigger because the 'particulars' I wanted always came with a premium price. I'm happy to say that the T7 has all those great particulars, but at a much more affordable price, and dare I say- even better quality. There's nothing I dislike about the T7, and everything to like. It does everything a Tele does, only with less damage to the wallet. And that neck? It's easily the best feeling and playing neck I've ever played, and I've owned several Fenders, Charvels, and PRS guitars. I don't know how they do it at that price, but I hope and pray they continue. The S7 and L7V are on my short list now.

@@cazziebb1707 to be fair, the damage happened in transit, more than likely. Sweetwater shipped the guitar in the hard case I purchased, and it was obvious that the box it was was dropped on the headstock end.

What are everyone's thoughts on the stock pickups? Has anyone upgraded pickups, and if so, what did you swap it with. I have the T7 Tobacco sunburst and loving the feel of the whole guitar

I like your videos, relaxed and fun. I would like to know your preference between the Sire Larry Carlton T7, the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Telecaster and the Fender player (MIM), knowing that the Squier could take an upgrade in pickups (with the difference in price to the others) ?

Hi Jimmy, just came across your channel, amazing stuff!
I am a newbie here, and looking for my first guitar. If I were to ask you, would you recommend this one over the Fender Player?
The same for the S7 over the Fender player Strat?
Also, if I look for somethign bit more cheap, would you recommend the S3/T3 over Squier CV Strat or 50s Tele?
Just a opinion would be good. And asking because with the Sire I can save some bucks, but maybe with a few more pounds I can reach to the fender bodies.
Thank you in advance and continue your work, Im a subsc.

If you like humbuckers, have you tried the Squier Contemporary Tele? Hot humbuckers (a Rail HB at the bridge).
