Nice looking big tail. Gotta love the Stinson line. Best fun/value for the $ IMO. So few AD's and a baby to fly. Had my straight 108 for 20 years. Sorry I ever sold it.
That's him! That's the guy I met the day I was at your airport, looking for you! I don't remember seeing the 108 when I was there though, it must be a new arrival. Great job GK, I wasn't scared for a second!!
Does your friend despise the strobe light on the tail of his 108-3 as I do? That think lights up the whole underside of the wing at night. Nice video, he's got a nice looking 108 there also.
We have some solar lights setup (the kind with the separate solar panel). They have worked well for almost 2 years I think? May have a better solution to come soon. But they did well enough to get by. It required 2 lights at each spot, 1 pointed at about a 45 in each direction. Only real issue, is that you really don't see them if you are at a 90 to the runway.
Great video! Awesome winter scenery too! Thanks for sharing :-)

It is a new addition, long story I guess... first plane he rode in all those years ago. Thanks Jbird!
I like night landings, builds confidence, even in an almost 50yr tailwheel pilot.
makes sense to me!!

ha! I'll ask him about that!! thanks
Hey mate, what was he using for lights on his runway and how are they controlled? Assuming it is a home made set up of sorts?
