It only works when there isn't any countermeasure in place. Ukrainians reported a 75-90% failure rate of drones once Russia employed their countermeasures. What you see on the internet is only the successes. Now, imagine what you didn't see, and you can understand why there is attrition.
Little drones will actually have some problems with Casper trucks, if you want your troops to live you stick them in a Casper truck if you feel like gambling you can stick them in something else. Casper truck were designed to deal with IEDs routinely on a daily basis which most drones happen to be IEDs. Casper trucks are meant to get blown up possibly several times a day with no casualties and then towed home and repaired if disabled.

For some strange alluring reason I've always wished I was wealthy enough to buy a m113 and convert it into a "camper van" . A home from home, if you like ? It'd be like an R.V. that came with armour and N.B.C. and a flushing toilet too. What a set of ... tracks😊
Never drove an M113 until a brigade commander told me to drive one that was his command vehicle. He said you don’t how to drive it do you, I said no sir ,so he showed me how to drive it.
Why aren't prime mover truck engines and automatic transmission's used in tanks, troop transport? Wouldn't these turbocharged engines be cheaper to replace, repair, and more reliable ?

Just be advised, this is all 50+ year old technology. The M113 dates from 1957. The M2/M3 is actually based on the M59 APC chassis from 1954. In today's day and age these are all "drone food".
I have never heard of the M113 being called a "battle taxi". I was a combat engineer at Fort Lewis and have spent plenty of time around the M113; we only ever referred to them as an APC or 113.

It's easier to maintain the HUMMV but the HUMMV was never needed. The jeep and 113 is fine. The Bradley is a good vehicle

M113 an aluminum death trap, one hit by an RPG causes it to burn so fast that few people survived to tell about it.
That exacty why the guys in Vietnam rode on top. If the track got hit they had an 80% more chance of survival than being inside.

All the new APC should be design to fit 2 crew members and 13 men dismounted.
That is difficult to achieve and the enable it to be smaller enough to be airlifted.
This is Great War taxi and durable. Adding main gun, antitank and anti drone weapon would be better for modern warfare.
