Finally someone whose going to a proper power system series on Bleach, ... all the videos that are on RUclips try to explain everything at the same time making people new to the series feel like the powersystem is way too complicated. While there is a lot to bleach's powersystem, it can still be understood when explained step by step as you are doing now. Will defo share this video, great job.
Great video. You really understand the fundamentals of the story and it’s components. One of my most underrated RUclipsrs. You’re inspiring me to start a RUclips.
Bleach has good evil and neutral / good characters. Evil and good people have someone to dislike and admire. That is one factor in the popularity of this anime.
5:54 Another thing to note, apparently in Bleach TYBW episode 6, when Yhwach was speaking with Aizen, they weren't actually "talking." They were _communicating_ with reiatsu.
@@marshal8358 It was in the Bleach TYBW Part 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray booklet that has the episode guides, behind the scenes, and character designs. It's on page 23: "Yhwach visits Aizen in Muken and proceeds to have a conversation with Spiritual Pressure."
@@Grognack Was that literal? I mean it Def means that Yhwach and Aizen may have spoken to each other spiritually, but maybe it also meant that Yhwach's reiatsu was clashing with Aizen's and testing his power even in custody. But it's cool trivia nonetheless.
@@marshal8358 It was definitely literal. It straight up says he proceeded to have a conversation with Spiritual Pressure. There's not really any good way to portray that, so they made it seem like they portrayed them speaking to each other. There was zero indication that he was "testing his power." Besides, Aizen's mouth was sealed at that point in time. In the next scene we see Aizen in a later episode, his mouth is sealed shut.
@@Grognack I would have appreciated it if they showed Aizen bound and have them speak without moving their mouths and have this subtle echo used for telepathic convos tbh. I think that would have made it much more understandable.
The anime fucked up the building..I can't believe how much concepts you covered that I never knew. AND I BEEN LIVING the series for a year. And I'm soo upset that anime only, who won't look into the manga for these topics. Will come to a very ignorant POV of kubo. I just got the 1st&2nd box set and now reading it for the first time...man do I hate how noriyuki Abe left out so much.😢
Very Good explained! Always wondered that the stronger a person is the more his Reiatsu can crush someone but higher than that is not feeling him at all huh
Honestly this video is very helpful. 2 days ago I caught up to Bleach excluding plenty of the filler (will watch soon) so I want to understand the franchise a bit better. Do you have any more informative vidoes like this one?
hierro vs blut? (Thanks to your videos, I started noticing things being more "related" in Bleach.) Will we ever get a breakdown of all these equivalencies?
@@R7dman Thank you! Your videos are incredible and honestly eye-opening! I was also guilty of judging Bleach too quickly and too harshly as a younger youth. Looking back, I realized I wasn't mature enough to appreciate its depth and nuance!
I understand now thanks for this explaination i thought in first place is riatsu in black hole level because the shinigami to how to release the riatsu
lol why are you using wiki Power scale when Kubo already has his own in the series Reaitsu Grading system goes from Grade 20 to Grade 1/Limitation of Shinigami and Hollow above that is Transcendent and Soul King Kaien during canon as mention to have Grade 6 and he was an assistant to a Vice Captain so 3rd seat. Average Captain is rated as Grade 3 Average Vice Captain is rated as Grade 5
The problem with Bleach’s world building is that Kubo seldom uses the made up words he establishes. Until a video like this comes along 80% of bleach fans dont remember the words reiryoku or reishi. It’s a really cool system but it ends up boiling down to beams of light because he didnt drive home the iconography of these new elements. That’s on Kubo. It hard to remember a multi syllable word that isnt used for entire arcs when everyone is fighting and crying in the rain. Where as chakra and cursed technique gets repeated every few episodes.
This is not the fault of Kubo, it's the fault of whatever anime translation you watched and the official VIZ translation for the manga which translate terms like Reiryoku (spiritual power) and Reishi (spiritual particles) instead of defining them once and sticking to them. That makes it easy to forget them, but if you pay attention to what they're saying, you'll see that they're used absolutely everywhere in the anime.
@@R7dman I see, I watched the original anime (didnt enjoy it), then years later read the manga (and was like oh, Bleach is actually really good lol). It's gotta be one of the most underrated shonen of all time.

Good job at explaining one of the most not talked about subjects in bleach. I’m looking forward to future videos that delve deeper into reiatsu etc…
Awesome, thank you!

Good write up, clear and concise and you talk to the mic well. Looking forward to the Quincy, Shinigami and Hollow vids, keep it up!
Much appreciated!

Why do People think that Bleach power system makes no sense ?
Because it’s over designed and that means it can’t be explained easily.
Is it me or this sound like Ki + chakra with extra step. (I haven’t watched bleach)
