    as chilean, i never thougth sonny would ever come to chile... but i must say, you barely touched the tip of the iceberg of food we have here, being the longest country in the world, we have a lot of different biomes and types of food to offer. i would much rather see you in the southern part of chile enjoing a nice cordero al palo!

    Just to be clear, the choriqueso with leche con platoon is not typical "Santiaguinian" but typical from the southern city of Punta Arenas. Kiosco roca started there and now has become a national chain. Really pleased to see the choriqueso in this video, as i was born an raised puntarenense

    I am from Philippines, I was born and raised on a province called Zamboanga. It is a peninsula located in Mindanao and I must say I am very proud to be a Zamboangeño. Our local dialect is a combination of Mexican, Colombian, Portuguese, Chilean language. That is just wow. And for the record, been a fan of Sonny since 2019. Awesome man as always!

      @@TimK2646if you have an allergy you have the option of not eating anything with ingredients that you’re allergic to….i mean, you know that right?
      I have a severe digestive disease and there are a lot of things that I cannot eat, as I could end up hospitalized or needing surgery. So… I just don’t eat the things that can cause me harm.

      Es lamentable, pero esas personas de color oscuro no son chilenos, sino que son Haitianos, o inmigrantes ILEGALES como Venezolanos, Colombianos, Peruanos, etc. Ellos tienen esas costumbres de vender alimentos de dudosa procedencia y huir de la policía para evitar fiscalizaciones.

    Im sad sonny that your cousine experience was in Santiago, you should have go to the south.. Chiloe, to eat curanto... the streetfoot in santiago is nothing, we have so much variety as our country is a long one... hope next time you visit chile, you enjoy a great cordero al palo, a great curanto/pulmay, and sea restaurants at the side of the sea.

    I am glad to see you in Santiago de Chile! I lived in Chile. I was in the Sanhattan area, really Las Condes. I couldn't get with the completo hotdog, but I love the empanadas in Chile; they are special.

    Sonny I would recommend, for you to try Nicaragua 🇳🇮 food. In Nicaragua everything is good, and cheap. Our main dish is carñe asada con gallopinto. It's amazing.

    21:00 charqui (i guess it's related to jerky) is traditionally made out of horse. It's a cowboy food, someone herding their animals, will take them to pastures in the mountains, and have a bag of charqui with it. You can stew it, or eat them as it is. It's very expensive because it loses all of the water. When i had a friend who worked in the country side, he would bring us a huge bag of charqui. You eat that while watching a movie, and you can chug a 2lt bottle of coca cola easily. It's not for everyone, but it's very typical.

    Dude, I've never thought I'd see you in Chile, but this is tremendous! As some other comments say, there is so much more food to discover as biomes differ quite a lot from north to south, but seeing you in Santiago and in places i've been has been a treat :) Hope you had fun on Chile!

      I was worried too, but the only thing I was disappointed was the carts with food street, I don't really like those things. Everything else was really good, I'm proud of the gastronomy of my country

    And that crab...omg to die for!! I could live on most seafood, especially shellfish!! And squid!! I unfortunately love octopus grilled, but theyre so smart and human like, that its become harder to eat them. But theyre so damn delicious!😂

    2:40 I always used chorizo as an additive to beef or better yet pork. chorizo alone is pretty sloppy and spicy to just put on top of rice or a sandwitch.
