Low key?! I’m a little late on this but wow I disagree. He’s almost like Meghan Markle with the so called dramatics. Honestly I can’t stand Cobra Kai WB and his antics hardly anymore, I’ve tried.
@@LifesBitzOfGoldI think it might also due to him having to wear the headphones and hearing yourself through the microfone in them It’s in some gaming headphones too and some people really can’t stand it It can be really irritating
Sooooo good. Good to know about Sonny's journey. Would love to see more about Sonny and about his team. The behind the scenes. Also totally understand why he was a little nervous. What I found interesting was Sonny is such a personable guy on his show what he doesn't realize is he shouldn't feel nervous, I watch EVERY SINGLE one of his episodes almost EVERY DAY! Probably my best youtuber. Helps me to unwind at the end of the day. Keep it up Sonny! Massive fan, Durban, South Africa.

I love watching and experiencing life thru Sonny.... So fun! His hardships is what has made his show fun! Now he is doing fine and has employees... So cool ❤😂!
What a good podcast. Rogan & Sonny are the men! I feel Sonny kind of filled the void that took place when Anthony Bourdain passed. Fun seeing 2 guys at the top of their game, in each respective field have a conversation.
Sunny is the best. Just a dude being a dude and accepting life as it comes at him. Being in the military, he fits in all the culture we see overseas. Hats off to Sunny, absolute champion.

Sonny should do an Interview with Mary Ruddick!! She is a nutrionist travelling the world to visit ancestral tribes, researching their diets. She has some very fascinating insights in traditional foods. Would be so interesting to hear those two share their experience!
Sonnys "show" is fucking incredible, its not really about food, more about the culture behind the food, where and why it comes from. you can learn alot watching his videos. might be my absolute favourite YT channel
I very much appreciated the uncensored version of Sonny 😂 As a midwestern american guy, THIS is how most of us ACTUALLY talk 😂😂 Waaaay different than his videos lol
you can see how humble and down to earth Sonny is in this interview. he still sees himself not worthy to be Joe's guest... but with nearly 11M subs on youtube? you are a internet celebrity. he is worthy.
amazing to hear whole story of Sonny... :) thanks...Sonny should not be so nervous in front of Joe Rogan... you earned your role and position our lives as culture and cuisine translator for us :)
Sonny has put together such a great food channel on RUclips. I think this is the best format for creators to just bypass the gate keepers. Only potential issue would be that RUclips does shadow ban content on the website.
🎉🎉I love Sonny ❤ we've watched ALL OF HIS SHOWS. SO glad you have him on. Always wanted to hear his story. There is nothing on him online. There is no way to find out more about him. He can literally write a book and most people would read it (make sure you make the audiobook). WRITE A BOOK! WRITE A BOOK! WRITE A BOOK!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a Kenyan who lives right next to a National park here in the capital, Nairobi, I disagree with commercializing animals by hunting like how people from the West do it. We've lived in harmony with wild animals for so many years and we see them as necessary creatures..In some cultures, when an old man dies we feed wild animals with the body. It's all symbiotic. You don't bother them and they won't bother you. Hunting and ivory trade is all that's the problem in Africa.
I disagree with your comment. I believe that in today's world, unfortunately we need to ensure the value of wildlife through hunting. A few centuries ago, wild life was considered as bad as rodents and almost completely hunted out, until a few people realised their worth. Hinting encourages animal population growth and sustainability. If we stopped the hunting. Locals will just poach until there is absenothing left. (I was a Nature Guide in the Greater Kruger in South Africa and I studied Game Ranch Management)
I understand his anxiety regarding Visa and renewing it constantly. I'm currently going through it constantly and I'm about to loose my home due to being thrown out of Thailand. I don't know how much longer I can do this...
I like how you both agree that fulfillment is not really reaching your Goal. It's definitely the Journey, and making every day count. Also the interchange between Cultures.
i totaly get that point of being dissapointed at achieving a goal, i overshot anything i had dreamt of, and felt empty, mostly because nothing changed.
This is the first time I've seen this video, Sonny brought some Yak and Whale meat and some mad honey, he brought everything crazy, He's the perfect kind of guest. I've been watching Sonny for a minute but now I'm starting to watch Joe Rogan a little bit more as well
Just met Sonny in St. Paul at the Food truck festival 💯 super chill guy! I was trying to get him to ride our mechanical bull but he was busy 🙏🏽 next time
What makes me like and respect Sonny so much more is that he started out with no idea or direction in life. It's very relatable, and I think a lot of us have been there at one point or another in life. The fact that he worked it out and kept trying to be met with such huge success-especially coming from a family with successful siblings-is really great to see.
2:00:00 - the meat you're getting at a butcher is probably dry aged for 7-21+ days. That is what Sonny is referring to. Killing a cow, cutting a piece off and cooking it will have a way different taste than a dry aged steak. A camel you kill will not have the same strong flavor that a similarly- butchered bull would.
Dang Sonny and I have a similar path, I came to Korea in 2007 and was there for like 6 almost 7 years, surprised I didn't see him around or just dont recognize him when he was a bit heavier, I was around Itaewon all the time doing open mics, etc. I was hugely obsessed with Bourdain but before that Andrew was my man, I remember the first episode I watched was the one where he was in the Philippines and ate that Balut (that egg with like a half of a duck embryo inside) anyway , I tried this RUclips thing, as you can see on my Chanel but it feels dry and I stopped. Also interestingly I am also based in Vietnam now just like Sonny is haha. Would be great to meet this guy one day, love the personality!!
Towards the middle there, Sonny seemed like he did the bananas and sprite chalenge off-camera 😂 Felt like every 30 seconds he was trying not to burp into the mic 💀💀
Kinda sad truly hearing Sonny’s thought process through certain situations, several times he seemed to go very negative without much reason to😢😢. I hope he isn’t depressed in the background of things, and is truly as happy as he is in front of the camera.
What you are describing on the farm in South Africa in a confined space is called "canned hunting" and it is frowned upon here in South Africa. We don't traditionally eat zebra here. You don't find it commonly in the stores. It is still considered exotic.
Hi Joe, please call Mark Wiens on your show. Would love to hear his life experience. After the demise of cable TV and unfortunate death for Anthony Bourdain, people like Mark and Sunny have took the food travel shows to a different level. So would to hear how Mark started his Journey.
