This is a great video on showing how to CLEAN the car! Buy let me tell you, there is a lot more to "flipping" than cleanliness, and that is MECHANICAL. I could write an essay on what to look for when buying the vehicle you intend to resell, but I will summarize by saying if you don't have some informal or formal expertise in that area, you will be left with a hole in your pocket and a bunch of clean junkers in your yard.
really helpfull tip man
As for odors inside the vehicle, don't forget to check the cabin air filter.
Isn’t it crazy how many people overlook this? It’s like never changing the air filter in your home
@@LA_AutoDetailing air filter in a home ?
Don't ask if it's still available 45 minutes after it's been listed. Fastest way to annoy the seller.
People nowadays get irritated so easily you never know what could happen
True!
What’s worse Is asking if it’s available and then not responding anymore
Is this still available?
Last price anyone
Remember to change the cabin air filter esp if smokers car so AC doesn't stink.
Somebody needs to tell dealers this, I constantly see dealer cars somehow pass detail at cert pre owned lots unfreshley detailed above retail. Id understand a mom and pops shop but not these big wholesalers
Great video and info! I’m so glad you mentioned the importance of headlight polishing/restoring! I don’t think people realize how little work is required to make such a big impact on the first impression!
100% agree!
In my country men who flipping cars is usually named resellers. And as practice shows they less care of making candy from dead car than you. In my rating list you are the honest and kindest reseller I've seen)))
Most are dishonest in my country too. They hide past accidents of the car, or major problems, the thinker with the milage, they lie about repairs that they done to the car recently (like every car they sell had the timing and cluch replaced last year😂😂). The worst is when you meet them to see the car, they are always is a hurry and try to hurry you into a decision... I'll just avoid dealing with them.
I love this video! Thank you for being so honest and transparent I need this so much. And just bought the course!
Awesome! Thank you!
Did the course asssist you in making a profit in your own car flipping journey
Keep in mind (if you're in the US) many states limit the amount of vehicles you can sell without a dealers license.
To get a dealers license you typically need: Office with road-facing Signage, locking filing cabinet, activated phone with phone number listed in phonebook, various other documentation and legal requirements including insurance and bonds. You'll also most likely be required to take an initial education course on dealer laws/regulations as well as maintain continuing education. After that it's just a small multi-thousand dollar fee to the state, acquire any local city or county required business license.. Then it's off to the auctions. Be sure to keep your paperwork and mileage records straight, as well as adhere to any state laws.
Or the government can get fucked and let people live 🙂I flip cars and fix em and I don't have a license or care to get one what isn't their business won't hurt em
he will just transfer the title under the previous owner’s name, to the new buyer. It is like he doesn’t exist. He won’t pay taxes, he won’t be part of the transaction at all. He is just showing the car of his uncle, aunt, cousin, brother, sister, etc. you know what I mean… That is the fishy part of this side “business”… 🤷🏻♂️
Yep it's highly common. Curbstoning.@@aprenderdetodounpoco
@@aprenderdetodounpoco Of course you can fraudulently do that. Breaking the law is more profitable than following the law, even if you do nothing wrong.
@@aprenderdetodounpocothat’s called title skipping and will get you wrung out if they catch you doing it.

Do also keep in mind the time of year can speed up or slow down the car sale. Ive found fall and winter to really slow down in car buying so expect to wait longer for it to sell
Yeah same I put a car for sale that would usually sell insanely quick but has been taking me longer then usual
@@quickfortune7866 same situation here. Have a city car which hasn't been sold yet after nearly 2 months advertised and i sold the same car before which would sell within 3 weeks or sooner during the year. End of the year, Christmas time isn't the best time to sell. Hopefully after new year and probably end of January things will be back to normal
@@zaink7037 Whenever doing stuff like this always buy in the winter and sell in the summer you just make better profit and can move the vehicle quicker. In the winter people will budge on price more often because of the same issues you are experiencing now trying to sell in winter.
@@zaink7037did it ? I feel people usually buy around tax time or summer when kids are going to college.
very informative and useable information.
Thanks for sharing
If you're lazy or pressed for time, on chrome (plastic or metal), you can just use mag and aluminum polish
1. Look for a car
2. Clean it/Fix it
3. Sell it for more than what u put in.
The most your going to profit is 1K to about 2K, if not a few hundred. It’s an ok side hustle
Great tips! I've used the odor bombs before on my own car. The coffee is a nice tip. Even if you don't like coffee. Everyone likes the smell.
Exactly! Coffee ftw especially.

Awesome video working on a mk6 GTI to flip next week! I also love the thumbnail evo. I wish I could find one local in western PA most are way overpriced
When you buy it do you leave the title in the original owners name or you register it under your name ????
Do you need a dealers license to do this? I’m not allowed to sell any car for profit unless I get a dealers license.
You should be able to sell up to five a year, check your states law on that. I know here in WI five is the limit without a license and designated selling location
@@GabeRausch I’m in CT and the law is I’m not allowed to sell any car for profit unless I have a dealers license.

Do you ever buy and resell rebuilt or recked title car
Can you give tips on what tools you used to clean, I just wanna be able to clean my own this well..
What cars would you recommend to look for if you only have a couple grand to spend ?
While I don't doubt he can do great detailing, the hardest part of the business of flipping cars by far is the paperwork. He could have showed this a little better.
Can’t show the paper work because most of the title cars are still under sellers’ name. He’ll do title jump by hoping to sell the vehicle within 10 days. Plus most states have a law about owners allowed to sell only an X amount of vehicles under their name.
@@ricmagik So he is doing it illegally, that is how. You are supposed to transfer the title to your name always, unless you are a dealer.
@@gteixeira technically yes, but it still a seller transferring title to a buyer. Doesn’t matter the name as long as it’s signed haha
@@ricmagik If it is to do illegal stuff, I can look into businesses that make way more money than just flipping cars.
@@gteixeira of course there are others ways to make more money. I flipped cars in the early 2000’s and stopped because a lot people started doing it. I didn’t even detail cars to this guy’s extent lol but then again cars I bought didn’t need much at all.
Excellent video 👍
11:07 during your engine bay pressure washing and you washed the red paint off please tell me you fixed that
I was VERY impressed with your video and your meticulous attention to detail and all the knowledge you shared. Thank you very, very much.
Does your course explain in more detail the exact steps, tools, and products you use to detail the cars ? I would love to start a detailing business and would like to do everything the right way and the best way, and you sure seem to have all of the bases covered.
I thought I saw a Mitsubishi Lancer in the thumbnail.
Interesting good information 👍
Great video man, change that cabin filter too, they can be pretty nasty.
Awesome
Always informative. Love watching your work. When will your APC and drying towels be back in stock?
Nice video!
How many types of rolling brushes from your impact? Can we get your tools info?
quick question, when you buy the car do you also try getting the cars documents or no? thanks
Great video, and your detailing skills are awesome.
Don't you need a dealers license to flip more than 3-5 cars a year though?
Yeah … depending the state. If he’s doing this in Cali he’d get busted in a couple months.
It's interesting how he won't reply to my comment...@@rocky8558
What websites are you selling the cars on?
Great video again. I have a question. I saw that you have a course. I was wondering if you have a mentorship program showing how to do the business more hands-on?
Do you have any info on the legal side of things? insurance, licensing, taxing etc.?
If you don't have a dealer license it is illegal
I’ve flipped 41 cars this year. It’s definitely a JOB but we’ll worth the extra income!
Do you have a dealer license?
@@paulharris5497 Exactly. How do you flip 41 cars without DMV jumping down your throat? This was a great video on how to detail cars but thats the easiest part. Selling is where the real work is.
@@silkywares Hello. What are the most difficult steps in obtaining a license? I understand that the rules are different. how was it for you?
@@silkywaresthe real deal it’s buy and sell vehicles cash. You buy the vehicle and get the title signed from the seller, you never put the vehicle under your name, do some cleaning and minor fixing and list the vehicle for sale, when you sold the car just give the title to the new owner and he will put his name and signature. Basically the reseller never exist. And because everything is cash…. It’s like nothing happened 😂😂
@@Sankizgarageuntil someone I'd unhappy with the car you sold them and then you go to jail
Love your videos. Do you have a dealers license, because I didn't know you needed one. Also, if you do, does the work not need to be done in a commercial business site? Here to learn. Thanks
No, it called curbsideing and it is illegal
Thank you for the tips! As someone interested in starting this, do you have to put the titles of vehicles into your name after buying? Or just keep the titles and transfer under the previous owners?
Just keep the titles and transfer them to whoever is gonna buy it, you’re gonna spend money on putting them on your name also the DMV will notice you are registering a lot of cars and will know you’re reselling and legally you’re not able to sell I believe more than 3 without a license so just sell the cars without putting them under your name
Transfer under previous owner signature. It’s call title jumping. No fees for you as reseller.
@@ricmagik can’t you get in trouble for that? Lol
@@chasevalverde like toe-knee said, if its under your name then DMV will notice. Don’t put your name on title, sell it to next buyer and then they can put their name on title. As long as dmv collect their money they don’t care.
@@chasevalverde can easily just say to buyer that it’s my friend’s car who moved and left for me to sell. Lots of excuses you can use lol
"How to flip cars, full process"
"Buy my course" 😂
Nice, how much did you score that for?
Do you have an opinion about parts from !A Auto?
What about title and registration
In Pa you can only sell up to four cars a year befor you need a dealer's license. Which involves having a lot with a certain number of parking spaces, You need to have a bond ,all kinds of stuff. So if you just want to sell a few cars a month how do you do it without getting a dealer license? And a wholesale license you can only buy from a dealer and sell to a dealer or buy from an auction and sell to an auction, so that wouldn't work. I keep seeing these flipping car videos and unless the state doesn't check, you're going to get caught and have to pay fines after four cars. So again what is the answer to flipping cars without owning a car lot?
Just don’t get caught. If you’re low with it nobody gonna know. How would they even be able to know?
How do you deal with taxes, in my state after two cars if you are not a dealer you have to pay capital gains?
This is why I call BS for those who "I made this much".. They don't tell you the full story
you could float the title which is illegal or you can get a dealers license if you dont want to do allat just flip machines like quads side by sides or dirtbike snowmobiles stuff like that
@@youaskedforit7973it isn't taxable since it isn't a registered business

I see you are in Ohio, do you need a auto dealer license if you sell a certain number of cars per year. I know like NC if you privately sell 5+ cars/ year you must get a dealers license. Is there anything like this in Ohio *recent transplant to the Cleveland area)
Great video, how do you deal with DMV and taxes? Do you need a dealer license?
float all of that
How many cars can you legally resell in a year in Ohio?
You should be able to google that information but if it’s anything like Georgia probably only one or two
My only question is what’s the process of the title with flipping cars
you could float the title which is illegal or you can get a dealers license if you dont want to do allat just flip machines like quads side by sides or dirtbike snowmobiles stuff like that
How do you go about getting the title in your name while flipping cars? Doesn't that take time and money?
He doesn't, it is curbsiding . IE illegal
Whats your opinion on flipping a toyota prius with a hybrid battery needing replaced? Seller says it ran great prior to that and its been sitting for over 6 months. Has some other things like cosmetic damage from sideswiping a guardrail (supposedly). Any tips would be much appreciated
Don’t bother with hybrids the batteries are a big pain point. Unless you can get it for a steal and have experience working in hybrids. I would avoid
Is there a inexpensive ozone generator that you would recommend? I looked through your list and couldnt find one
Is there a limit to how many cars a person can sell every year without a dealers license?
In my state. It’s 5 per registered owner.
10:00 - Quick question. Doesn't the clay bar end up scratching the car with whatever it has picked up from the paint?
Yes. Just clay barring is more damage than good if you do nothing with it after.
Usually you need to buff after@Fortress500
How can you take only 5h for 2Step Polish?
It’s hard to find a car to flip when every single car in my area is already being sold by someone who is flipping it.
How much will you charge to clean my Dad van
how do you flip more than 5 cars a year (on most states that's the limit)

Honestly this is all great or you can find those deals that are so cheap and just sell it for cheap. I bought a 88 OBS for 5k. Sold it for 8k. Didn’t do a single thing. Why put it all that effort. Clean and wash it real quick. Maybe hit the head lights. On to the next
How do y’all float the title ?
Illegally
I noticed you didn't go into the curbstoning aspect and how it is very illegal in most states, including here in Ohio, which I see is where your business is based. I'm assuming since you're a legit business owner, you have a used car dealer license. Otherwise, you could face severe fines and even screw yourself in the long run if you or anyone else decides to go into business for themselves as a dealer.
What extractor vacuum are you using ?

I don't know where you live, but here in Missouri. You can't sell more than 6 cars in a year without Being a licensed salesman with a lot.
Good point. I just checked my laws and Utah only lets me sell two. TWO! That's it! and getting a license requires a permanent physical business building and lot, among other things.
My home state here in Australia is 6 cars also, luckily 100 bucks to a mate can go a long way , especially in this economy 😂
