We take you on the ultimate MALAYSIA STREET FOOD TOUR in Kuala Lumpur where everything is cheap and delicious! We're not experts in Malaysian cuisine so we asked a local food expert to show us all the amazing spots to eat in and around Jalan Petaling aka Chinatown. We were blown away by all the flavours, textures and variety on this food tour. Hands down one of the best food experiences in our life!

Are these services reliable? We are planning to visit Kuala Lumpur around April và would love to discover the city. Thanks!
@@billlee4736 I'm sorry but don't know if the services is reliable or not but I would assume it is reliable. The thing I want you to take note of is the month you're planning to visit, so Malaysia is a Country with the majority of people are Muslim and in the upcoming month which is mid march and mid April, they'll have Ramadhan. Most local Muslim food hawkers and some restaurant may not be open during the morning and afternoon. On the bright side you will enjoy the bazaar and iftar buffet which would be a very good experience. And if you're still in Malaysia late april, you can experience the EID in too. Personally I would not think Ramadhan and restaurant closing a problem as you still have Chinese and Indian restaurant and of course mamak. But yeah just a heads up for you guys if you're planning to visit Malaysia in between mid march till April. 😁
@@ShizuCatt Thanks for the info! We are planning to visit Kuala Lumpur 3rd week of April so hopefully there would be no problem.
We’ve used Get Your Guide to book 3 different tours in Thailand and Malaysia and we’ve enjoyed all of them. The information is clear and booking process is simple.
@@ShizuCatt ohhhh I'm planning to go there by March, good to know about this info!
You guys are very lucky to meet him, he knows all my grandmother favourite places with all the goodies..
Apam Balik
it is a Chinese origin pancake, but the word Appam originally from a Tamil (Indian) word, but in Malay context it is renamed as Apam Balik (Reversed Pancake)
See how we blend?
Malaysia is an incredibly diverse country, containing many different ethnicities, languages and religions. People from each ethnicity have generally retained their ancestors’ cultural customs. As a result, Malaysian society accommodates a rich variety of lifestyles, beliefs and values.
🤤🤤
But , more than half of Malaysians are muslim
Great coverage for Malaysian Chinese cuisine. There are still traditional Malay, Indian and mixed-culture cuisine! You can never complete the trial of all food in Malaysia. Even if you go to region, there will be special delicacies to northen, east coast, southern, sabah and sarawak!
There were not all chinese cuisine friends.
Many nyonya cuisine, fusion of malays and chinese, south east asian flavours and etc...
Balik apam is not chinese. Abc ice is not chinese
Curry laksa is not chinese
Assam laksa definitely not chinese.
There are uniquely straits food or fusion food.
@@linustwapam balik is chinese unfortunately
Such an awesome tour guide you had..
I'm a local and I've always liked assam laksa and curry laksa, but never once tried mixing both.. what a revelation..
Haha right? It sounded crazy but it works!
🤤🤤
Congratulations! You have only scratched the surface of Malaysian cuisine. Your food tour covered mainly Chinese Malaysian cuisine. There are also Indian and Malay cuisine to be discovered. After that, there are regional cuisine like Kelantanese, Northern and Sarawakian cuisine that can be found in specific authentic restaurants. And Malaysian twists on Western cuisine like the Ramly burger and spicy Aglio Olio. Food variety is not a problem here.
The best thing of Malaysia is most Malaysian people are kindly and friendly
That's very true.. we've met some amazing people already.
You both are the best couple on RUclips. Flora and Note you both are classy and very professional in my opinion. This is a great another video in Malaysia. I would love to see you both do a vlog in Hawaii. Have a wonderful weekend Flora and Note.
🤤🤤

I’m watching this from the departure lounge in KL 😅 I did half of these but now have a reason to return asap!!! Keep the vids coming 🤟🏽🤟🏽
We also have tons of reasons to return already haha

🤤🤤
What a fun video. Your tour guide is top class.
Glad to see that you guys are having fun in Malaysia ✌🏼
At first sight,TK's tummy exudes street cred...
A full tour of Petaling Street Chinatown takes at least a full week especially the hidden gems in the back/side lanes.
Malaysia has a lot of good food. Mainly because there are different cultures. When these cultures fused it creates a new version of taste. For example if you talk about Nasi Lemak there are Malay version of Nasi Lemak, Chinese version of Nasi Lemak and Indian version of Nasi Lemak and if you go to Malacca they have this Peranakan Baba Nyonya version of Nasi Lemak...this goes the same to Apam Balik delicacy in this video. We do have varieties of Malay Apam Balik and Chinese version of Apam Balik in several States.
Fantastic! Thank you both.
HI! Just wanted to say Note, so impressed with yu wearing your red t-shirt with the Canada logo, you haven't forgotten your Canadian roots. Much appreciated, and the food tour was incredible!!!

🤤🤤
@@stevenhull5025 Heart attack can happen to anyone!!
Flora and Note, you guys got yourself a nice food guide and reminds me of Blondie with her food guide named Peter in Guangdong. Peter and CK are so much similar in their style of introduction of food.
Many, many more food adventures to look forward to.

Welcome back after a week off. I think Note was very hungry when he said let’s go eat. Absolutely love noodles and clams. Delicious pancakes. Wonder if I can find them in Chicago?? Absolutely love when you both try something new and seeing your face reaction. I can always count on both of you for showing me Chinatowns where ever you travel. Not sure about those 2 dishes in the red bowls. I do love fish. Just bread. Absolutely loved every minute and what an Awesome Food Tout Guide.

Do notice... we shake hands... and we bring our hands to our heart...
Shock! = Syiok!... originally Shocking!... but Malaysians have taken it to mean Shockingly Good!... also in Singapore...
We Malaysian are definitely not shy about flavour!
These tours are good ... you would try thing that otherwise you wouldn't be brave enough to try on your own... a confidence booster...

Grew up eating the curry laksa and Assam laksa there. Good choice guys. They’re one of the best I’ve known.
Good to know! That place was legit delicious :)
I’m from Malaysia and the city in our foods is very good I’m so glad you. Tried them
Malaysia is awesome for food! No shortage of choices for sure 👍
Petaling Street my favorites place to get delicious street foods.
They're a few Hainanese chicken rice places in Petaling Street that you guys should try out, and also the dry and soup type beef noodles (opposite the Lai Foong kopitiam). They're a must try when in KL Petaling Street area.👌
The best beef noodle is still in Lai Foong, I wonder why they missed it.
travel deep into the country to experience authentic malay cuisine...
Pancake looks delicious
😂👍 peanut pancakes yummy
You have a five-star tour guide. He is really good. Now, your video makes me miss KL so much.
He’s the best! Time to book a trip to KL? 😛
You guys made everything seems absolutely yummy, by the way the second stop is Chinese Pancake, I am pretty sure they have those in Bangkok cause I saw those at the other RUclipsr channels several places. If my memory is correct, even Bangkok China Town has them.
Bangkok's Chinatown have more food because it's so much bigger but the best food are not in the main road, so most bloggers missed the best food.
Such a beautiful country Malaysia ❤
One of the best tour guide. Funny and kind at the same time. 🥰
It was so much fun! One of our fav food tours ever :)
From a proud Malaysian, I'm glad you enjoyed your tour. 😄
Penang Asam Laksa ranked 2nd In CNN's List Of "Top 50 Best Street Foods In Asia"
and got voted 7th world's best dish by CNN
I am Malaysian and I didn't know much delicious food in China town. I need to try after the introduction.
Yesss! Lots of hidden gems in Jalan Petaling 🙌🏻👍
I am a big fan of your RUclips videos! The food looked amazing. I will visit KL in March 2024. By the way, what was the name of the place you guys had clam noodles in Central Market? I would appreciate it if you guys listed the names of places you ate on videos! Many thanks!
Very simple Malaysian food dishes.
that guide is one cool guy laa
He’s the best food guide 👍❤️
Wow lots of delicious food, enjoy guys and have a wonderful day!!! 👍❤️🌷
Have a wonderflo day too, Kitty! Thanks for tuning in ❤️
2:33 you should also try their famous beef ball noodles
謝謝!
感谢您的支持🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
You missed one of the best Wan Tan Mee spots in KL! Right behind that old uncle selling the pancake with peanuts. You should try! GO EARLY 🙈🙉🙊
The dry version wanton mee is one of the best
Hi Flora/Note, the peanut pancake that you ate is call Tai Kou Meen, literally translated as Big Face. The other smaller one is the apam terbalik.
there's a lot more you need to eat. and I can't mention them one by one because there are so many 😄 but I think you are smart to find them. 😉
whatever, it's nice to see you eat👍
Great video you two, really really enjoyed it,,,, these last few videos have made me add KL to my must visit list with Annie's smoking pot. Also I have to work on my eyebrow game now.
Yes 🙌🏻 definitely add it to your list. We love it here - the food, culture and people have been amazing 😻
