Always great to see some Wii related videos! Those Wii motion control based games were great at parties, but there is lot of other great games too; besides sports, I still love those "light gun" shooters and many of games you mentioned here are real gems
Nice Video, And Great Collection you DO have those Resident Evil games. It took a while to win me over too. But when it did? It really did. It was only a couple of years ago when I got Gifted a Red Mario Anniversary addition I started buying some games(Alot of the same ones you have actually) while they were phasing out. I fell in love with the system. The Rail- Gun shooters and the Peripherals made it feel like having an arcade like Dave & Busters in your living room .
Great collection! Mario galaxy is one of my favourites on the system, you should pick it up if you can find a copy reggie... Its a must play in my opinion
Darth Wheezius all great games, my opinion the rail/arcade shooters are the best for the system and takes you back to the days of playing them at the arcades.
Darth Wheezius just out of interest, do you play your wii on an up to date tele or an older tv. I put it on my old set for older consoles but honestly think I could get away with playing it on a modern.
I'm glad you're talking about the Wii. Not gonna lie, it really impressed me with the vast amount of games that can be played on it. Between light gun games, GameCube games, retro games on it, the virtual console it had, etc. Good video you covered a lot of good aspects about the Wii as well as the games and people that were into it.
Had no real interest in the Wii until maybe 12 months ago. Always thought it's library was most kiddy games, casual gamer type games (Wii Sports, Wii Fit, etc.) and the usual 1st Party exclusives 'cos thats what you see out in the wild usually. Once I really dived in though I learned how completely wrong that assumption is. You still mostly only see a select group of maybe 50-100 games (wide variance sure, but I never counted and just mean that you never see a massive variety at once, and nearly always a select group), but there's nearly always one or two less common titles amidst the common ones, a lot of which look interesting. Really enjoy collecting for it nowadays.
The Wii is hands-down my favorite system to collect for. So many hidden gems people don't know about for dirt cheap. Thanks for sharing even more! I have over 110 Wii games but you have a lot I don't have. But if that is your whole Wii collection I have a lot you don't have. I love the Wii so much, the only system I have more (physical) games for is the Switch and that's just because it's my favorite console ever.
Yep.. I remember waiting in line for 4 hours and 30 minutes after work to get my first generation Nintendo Wii and. it was worth it and still have it until today amazing-- very underrated system
I personally didn’t get into the Wii until the mod scene became big. I like the ability to play retro systems on the Wii. The controller is one of the worse I’ve ever used. A lot of games can’t use the GameCube controller. Anyway awesome video Reggie.
You need to try Geometry Wars with the classic Wii controller. Off wii topic i bought Obscure the first one for ps2 which u and metal jesus recommended in ur survival horror hidden gems video and i love that game now. Thanks for all your contentl
I like your new intro!! :D the Nintendo Wii was my first (non generic) console, and men there was a lot of amazing games for it (some of my non-obvious favourites are Red Steel, The Conduit 1 & 2, DBZ budokai tenkaichi 3, Mini ninjas, 007 goldeneye & Quantum of solace and as you Tatsunoko vs Capcom) Great Video Reggie, greetings from Chile and check out Rygar Battle of Argus, its a great hidden gem
Nice Reggie. The Wii had so many great titles imo. I got most of the games you showed, or at least I did until I loaned them out. 😥 I did the same thing; it was buy five for five or whatever so I would pick up random stuff to fill out my order. And sometimes I got crap. But mostly a game was at least decent. A few games I never hear anyone talk about are Brave, based on the Disney movie, and Spyborgs and Back to the Future. I got both for $10 each brand new. I don’t think BTF was even supposed to be released. But they got the actors, although a guy fills in for Michael J Fox here and there, but the guy was ill. It’s odd how similar our collections are. Thanks man!
I found Metroid Prime Trilogy the SteelBook at my local book store 2 years ago. It was brand new and for a great price, definitely one of my favorite collecting moments.
I took my wii system out of the box last year when the kids were asking for a Switch. They had such fun with it, and I did too. It has aged really well and you can get tons of good games for very reasonable prices.
I'll list a few games that i have in my collection that i recommend you pick up if you come across them: Deadly Creatures Ghostbusters Little King's Story MadWorld Resident Evil 4 (the Wii controls work really well in this port) Samba de Amigo
I just pulled out my wii for my 5 year old, ended up modding it and am now exploring the good games - have made a short list of so many, a massive backlog but Punchout already is excellent, very nice on a little CRT
Wii sports resorts was my ishh, the bike riding trail, samurai charge, and the over water samurai dual's. Were superb. Countless online hour's of excellence. 🔥🔥🐯🔥🔥
I'm about to start collecting for the Wii, I have the one that also plays GameCube games and I picked up RE2 for it. Such an awesome console, sadly I was too busy with the 360 during its heyday.
I still play my Wii to this day. I nodded mine back in the day and let me tell you it is an emulator beast. I got my first Wii (I have 2) in 07 for my first Fathers Day.
Someone else knows about Tatsunoko vs. Capcom? Nice. I also like have both Zelda games, Super Smash Bros Brawl (still worth playing for Subspace Emissary), No More Heroes, Xenoblade, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros Wii. I didn't really get into WiiWare to be honest, the only ones I have are Contra ReBirth and My Life as a Darklord, and I got those at the last minute. I also have Ys 1 and 2 and Phantasy Star for Virtual Console.
I love the original Wii Sports Bowling and all the Gun games. La Mulana was great too and Sonic 4. Overall great system. Easy as pie to hack and even if it doesn't have gamecube compatibility you can run Nintendon't and use a Wii U pro controller or the hyperkin procube controller wirelessly now with the update.
I didn't start playing Wii games until I got my Wii u. There are definitely some dope games on it and as someone who likes anime themed games they also have a good selection of those
Wii is probably one of my favorites, next to Wii U. There's so much good stuff on the console, anyone can find like 10 or 15 games they are guaranteed to enjoy. Tatsunoko vs Capcom wouldn't have worked on any other console, since the original game for arcade was a machine that was based on Wii architecture and redesigning that for other more powerful consoles...would've cost far more than the game would've ever made in sales. Still, there's so much stuff on Wii, and so many games do offer different ways to play, you can't go wrong with this system. It's too bad no one else really sees that on a large scale, but I don't mind that much. This system's lack of popularity with hardcore is keeping prices extremely low unless you want Dokapon Kingom and Shiren the Wanderer, and I'm satisfied with paying bargain bin prices for great games I actually want to play.
I miss the Wii Shop Channel theme song. Have the Wii since 2008 for $250, has some of great games on Wii & it has bc with GC games. i'm happy with that plus side.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom would've been HUGE if it came out on other platforms!!!! Wii definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves. there are way too many titles that i missed out on it :(
Omg I know what you mean. I actually waited for it to come out on other systems, but the copyrights for this game were all over the place so I figured it never happen after awhile. By the way, when’s your next video?
Had Tatsunoko vs Capcom been on the other consoles, it would've stayed Japan only. A lot of money and effort went into bringing the game out worldwide. Plus it wouldn't have been profitable from any stand point. The original game was developed on an arcade machine that was based around the Wii's architecture. Capcom is already known for not providing little to no extra support for marketing and localization of titles that aren't proven to be cash cows in certain regions (see God Hand, Okami and Sengoku Basara for more detail). So Tatsunoko vs capcom would've been overshadowed by current and future fighters on those other consoles, whereas on the Wii, it shined as a stand out title.
Radical Reggie I understand but from my understanding it would never have been released because Nintendo helped produce and publish it also it was an original arcade game in Japan developed on an Arcade system designed based on the Wii.

Wasn't interested in the Wii when it came out. infact I sat out that gen of home consoles til the end(stupid PS3 being so expensive til the slim). I was all about handhelds during that generation. But going back to collect for the wii, it was a better system than I thought. Still not what I'd consider good, but there was about two dozen really good games for it.
You should try Metroid Prime 3 and the SNK Collections like Metal Slug, Muramasa, The Conduit 1 & 2 and the Red Steel series 1 and 2! You’ll be hooked in no time bro.

TwinTurboJunkie yeah it was only on the Wii Ware shop. I was hoping Konami would have porting this game instead of the crappy contra game we just got recently.
Where did you get Rodea with the case for the original Wii? I thought it only came in a Wii U case, but with an extra disc for the original Wii. That's a pretty cool find.

Did I just miss them or do you have like none of the first-party Nintendo games? No offense but it baffles me that someone might not have MarioKart Wii, NSMBWii, Galaxy, Galaxy 2, Twilight Princess, etc. in their collections but have sonic colors and centipede infestation.
Wii has one of the worst game libraries of all time. So much shovelware and kiddy games with just a few good games in the mix. My least played system by far.
I don't see Muramasa, No More Heroes Games, Play Control Pikmins or the Marios or Zeldas on there. Though the hd remasters of Zelda would be the better option.
Actually the Nintendo Wii I feel was less successful then other Nintendo console cause of all these shit games that were coming out like Anubis 2, nibjabread man and 30 great games which were a few of the many bad games on the Nintendo Wii. It is good don't get me wrong but I feel they weren't as successful because of that reason.
The Wii is a beast to collect for. Lots of crap but just as many hidden gems
Zack and Wiki and little kings story are both pretty good.
Can't beat playing all the GameCube games on there. So easy to get good quality on a fairly modern tv.
@KJ HX just got one and 2 is in the mail for the switch! I'm excited neverplayed

Wii has one of the worst game libraries of all time. So much shovelware and kiddy games with just a few good games in the mix. My least played system by far.
no wario ware, bully, super paper mario, epic mickey, smash bros, etc? damn bro u missed out on some good ones
Is that portrait of Daniel Pesina?
Renovence sii
I don't see Muramasa, No More Heroes Games, Play Control Pikmins or the Marios or Zeldas on there. Though the hd remasters of Zelda would be the better option.
Michael O'Donoghue I don’t see them either.
10 dislikes come from bored lurkers
Jorge Arias 😆 they are actually subscribed to my channel 😂.
I was disappointed by the weak processing power and graphics, tbh. But the controllers and fit board were fun and innovative.
i personally love gamestop
Everyone that likes videogames should buy a Wii there cheap with loads of great games
PatricksGarage94 I totally agree
@@The_RadicalOne I forgot to mention you can also play the GameCube library too on the original wii
I got one for hacking and play retro games 😁😁😁
I like u more than metal jesus. Fighting games rule. Plus u own Capcom vs snk 2 eo gamecube.
