Thank youuuu!! It's honestly one of my favorite gaming memories, for sure! And I agree, I love people's origin stories when it comes to games--it's just such a cool and personal thing!
OMG A FELLOW DOKAPON FAN! I never find any in the wild lol but it is truly unbelievable. Everyone I've met who stumble across it one way or another has such profound memories of their experience with it (and how it destroyed their every friendship). I sincerely hope you can find a copy, or get ahold of the Switch version, ASAP! Ugh, Wii Music. Such a disappointment. My two musically-inclined childhood besties and I were PUMPED for that game! Hyped for weeks. We hungout on release day...and never touched it thereafter. I wanted to like it SO BAD, but it was just, well...so bad. It's hard when you have no scoring system. Or many systems at all, really. I think it was bogged down by them diluting it and its difficulty or complexity for the sake of kids (who, imo, always manage to grasp things much better than companies give them credit for). You like MySims too!?!?!? Oh, I knew you had good taste. I sunk waaaaaay too many hours into that game. Like, an embarrassing amount. But I've always missed it dearly and wished the series stuck to its roots instead of becoming...whatever it turned into.
Our Wii Music experience is so, so similar oh my gosh😂😂 I tried so hard to be into that game and get EVERYONE else into it as well😂😂 Someday I will rebuy the Wii Dokapon, but having on the Switch is so, so nice! Especially being able to play online with others!!
Great video, keep up the great work! I loved the Wii Era..I was in elementary/middle school at the time My highlights: Twilight Princess, Galaxy, Wario Smooth Moves, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Play, Brawl!
super smash bros brawl was THE reason I wanted a wii, so much so that I even got the game before I got the system, and for as much of an earful my friends and family gave me for doing that, that still meant I got to play it the instant I got my wii (summer of 2008), and I kid you not I basically played it daily for like the first 4 years of when I got it of course I'd get other games too but I'd always make time for brawl although another game I want to shout out is pandora's tower, that's an easy top 5 wii game for me
I got the Wii the year it came out. Transferred my Wii data to my Wii U so I can have them on the same console. I actually downloaded the WiiWare Pokemon games on it.
Makes sense!! I never transferred my stuff over because in my brain I was like "THESE ARE TWO SEPARATE GAMING EXPERIENCES" despite playing Wii games on my WiiU waaaaay more after I got that😂
Ah wow a lot of similar memories for me. It also took until Christmas of 2007 for me. We played a ton of Wii Sports, and I also remember getting Pokemon Battle Revolution the following summer so my friends and I could battle our DS Pokemon on the tv. Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess got added not too long after, but the most excited I ever was for a game was easily Brawl. It was a bit of a bummer because we had to send our console in to get the disc reader repaired, so I didn't get to play Brawl the day I got it. But when the stars finally aligned it was almost all I did for a while. Some seriously formative memories with this thing. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
1 hour of Wii nostalgia with Qualitea! Sign me up :) and defo agree regarding nostalgia, even going back to it as an adult is fun, there are so many great hidden gems!
Thank you, Milla!!!! And exactly! Going back to old consoles lately has been a blast--and it's definitely inspired me to keep looking for some gems I missed out on so I can pull out those consoles more often😂
I remember also getting the Wii for Christmas and playing it until my arm fell off 😂 This console holds a special place in my heart because of the memories I had with it! This was also the console that got my whole family playing! I need to whip out my Wii and bring back the family game nights lol! Awesome video Alex!
Yesss, exactly! There's just something so magical about this era of gaming because of how it brought people together, and I'm so glad that you had a similar experience with it to me!
I feel like I never see it anywhere either!! Unless is somehow gets mixed in with the billions of copies of Wii Fit, but I definitely feel like it's trickier to find!
I love the Wii. It was one of the games consoles I spent the most hours playing. I still have it setup and I still do now. A lot of the time to go back and play Gamecube games but it had its own great library of games. I spent countless hours on Mario Kart Wii but like you I never liked the B button at the back of the wheel and could never get used to using it. You've covered some great games there, some others ones I played a lot that you might have missed include Donkey Kong Country Returns, Resident Evil 4 and the House of the Dead games with the Zapper. It's a shame light gun games in the home aren't really too much of a thing these days! They are one of my favourite genres along with side scrolling beat em ups that I can always go back to. Gotta keep the CRT TV going! 😉
Ahh the Wii Zapper! It was something I never had, but always wanted so I could keep it next to my NES one😂 DKCR was a game I always played with my older cousins, but never had! It's on my list of hopeful Wii pick-ups though!
@@qualitea_individual Haha the NES was the first console I had. I never had many games though but I had the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt twin cartridge with the light gun 😉 DKCR you definitely have to pick up. Oh, and just on the Wii as well. I was blown away by Xenoblade Chronicles like yourself. I did buy Chronicles X on the Wii U and thought it was okay but not in the same league then I bought Chronicles 2 and couldn't get into it at all! 😕 I'm reluctant to jump into getting Chronicles 3 for that reason!
Absolutely!! I mainly play my switch, but definitely return to my older consoles as well! Sometimes it's just nice to return to an old, familiar game and see what it's like years later!
Right?? There were so many good games for so many different types of gamers! I feel like the Wii was really a turning point in the gaming industry because of how many more casual players it brought into (and kept) in the fold!
the amount of times we passed out in college with Brawl still going on the TV...that theme music is part of my soul
It was really cool to hear your Xenoblade story, it's great to learn the meaningful stories behind everyone's favorites! :)
Thank youuuu!! It's honestly one of my favorite gaming memories, for sure! And I agree, I love people's origin stories when it comes to games--it's just such a cool and personal thing!

I LOVE Smooth Moves! It was the game I played with friends, but never owned myself! I'm really hoping to find a copy for a decent price!
super smash bros brawl was THE reason I wanted a wii, so much so that I even got the game before I got the system, and for as much of an earful my friends and family gave me for doing that, that still meant I got to play it the instant I got my wii (summer of 2008), and I kid you not I basically played it daily for like the first 4 years of when I got it

Thank you for watching!! But yeah, the wii era just has soooo much nostalgia--it was such a special time for gaming!!
my 5 yr old just asked "how many video games DOES SHE HAVE?!" lololol

My absolute favorite is Wii Party, it’s just so quirky and fun to play with family ❤️ I’ve been trying to find it, but it’s seems to be rare now
I feel like I never see it anywhere either!! Unless is somehow gets mixed in with the billions of copies of Wii Fit, but I definitely feel like it's trickier to find!
lol "childhood wii collection" now I feel super old! 🤣
Ooh, I think I've heard of that one before! I'll have to look into it--thanks for the suggestion!
I LOVED Nights!!!!! I remember playing it on the Saturn for the first time 💜
Also price is right!! Cmon down! 😎
Great collection!❤
I never got to play the first Nights!! I wonder if maybe that one would make me less sick😂😂 Thank you tons, friend!!

My first game on the Wii was Animal Crossing, but I also REALLY loved Rune Factory Frontier
Rune Factory Frontier is on my pick-up list for sure! The Wii was just such a great console!
Hello. As an adult, do you still play games? Do you keep coming back to your old system ang play the games you played when you were still a kid?
Absolutely!! I mainly play my switch, but definitely return to my older consoles as well! Sometimes it's just nice to return to an old, familiar game and see what it's like years later!
hello sis can make list of the game thx u
Your boyfriend will be very happy
This console really had the chillest most accessible games ever 🥹
