I had NO idea Ace Hood had FOUR albums. Sheesh. I was living in Miami when Ace Hood first dropped, and although the music was all over the radio, no one really seemed to be checking for him.
I’ll never forget the time I interned with Radio One and got to help put on that year’s Summer Jam in the city. I was working the pop up where he was signing stuff and he complemented me on my head wrap. I had a beautifully adorned cheetah print bun in the front (before all yaw got into head wraps 🤣). It was really hiding a bad hair day, but working in that environment you better figure something out… anyways, it made me feel so special and he was so sincere and sweet about it. Gave me a jolt of confidence against all the wigs and weaves that are the “bad bish” look. I always supported his music even after he fizzled out. Still keep a few songs on a playlist out of sheer respect.
