The State pension is not a benefit we worked all our life and paid into the system to have a pension so no my Pension is not a benefit i earned tis over 51 years of hard work

Nothing at all was stolen, it was never theirs. EVERYONE pays into the state pension pot including all the men who had to work 5 years longer than women before they got their money and quite often die much sooner - THEY are the people who should get money if anyone but if this spurious claim is met THEY are the ones whose taxes will rise to pay for it. Disgusting!
I dont think its fair for pensioners to be told by the Governments their is no money for them after all they paid in so they should pay out . The thing is with the government they seem to find the money for other things but i feel they just dont want to pay the pensioners now at all they just dont want to look after their elderly people, shocking to be honest 😢
Tories changed the age you could ge a pension but didn't inform the public or the pensioners affected by this change. When this information was announced, I was 55, which was too late to sort my finances out. The state pension was paid to me at 63. This meant me working until the age of 66 through fear of living in poverty.This man, who is defending the government on not having the money to pay compensation should look at the billions wasted, stolen, and paying court costs for the mistakes these sleazy tories make in their personal lives. Tories have stolen and wasted billions on their stupid plans. The wealth aquired over the fourteen years of the tories has been shared with Sunak, Hunt, Cameron, and the 300 tory mps, the rich, and big businesses. The tories mismanaged the countrys finances by even sinking so low they even stole from the public purse. The sick, the disabled, the unemployed, and the working people all paid the price for this fa8led tory government. Compensation will not be paid to any group who is deserving of compensation because the tory government has squndered and stolen billions of pounds, which is why there is no money for their honest electorate who rightfully shold be compensated. He is a tw@t. Why is he bringing up when they set up the state pension age in the time of our great great grandparents? What has that got to do with WASPI women? They didn’t set the age for pensions - women didn’t even have a say in politics for the most part back then anyway so i don’t understand why he’s trying to bring up some kind of stupid battle of the sexes argument anyway. People like this act as if most old people aren’t married to the opposite sex and share a household income. Trust, when old people sit down and talk about what is going to happen when they retire they look at both their incomes and calculate from there!

The whole point is that over 250,000 Waspi women have already died without getting a penny of their pension. That is what the Tories want.

We are the women born in the 50’s,
Who will not falter in our fight.
The government postponed our pension.
This isn’t fair. It isn’t right.

Men died far earlier and collected less pension because of this,

Love the fact that the news intro is on about increasing UK birth rate, but passing the costs over to in poverty minimum wage working families - that going help 🤦♂️. This pension ice berg is massive and kicking the can further down the road, will only affect future generations to come 😢. Finally, if males die younger, surely females should receive a reduction as they pull on the pension pots for a longer period of time 🤷♂️
what about the rich waspi women do they need compensation !
All the government had to do was make sure each woman received a letter explaining the change. They could not even do that! How inept! The government should set them right. It is grossly unfair the way that the government has treated them.
The women should have fought for the age to be put up... I think they forgot to fight for equality in this case and the government stepped in.. We wouldn't want them to be upset now would we.
All those women had to do was to go on the DWP website, watch the news, go on moneysaving expert or use a pension calculator.
You’re missing the point, this is misappropriation of what the WASPI women contributed to the pension they expected to be paid - initially at 55 don’t forget - retirement for women then rose to 60 and then to 65 and is continuing to rise for all. The lack of information may be a defining factor ensuring the women concerned were not notified to allow them to make suitable provision. However, perhaps a good question would be where those contributions have gone.
If this was a private pension provider, the government would be robustly investigating where those paid-in funds have gone.
Let’s look at providing a *very limited* amount of support to our own working population for a change, and stop the provision, for a while, of external aid (which has not be contributed to and will not be repaid).
They wanted equalrights so that goes with equal working length ie.to 66 like men,they got equal pay so equal working life will men get compensation for working extra 1 year,and dont forget we all knew about the age going up,as per food banks they are just crying crocadille tears ,so NO they knew about it but chose to ignore it .
They knew, their lawyers have just told them to claim that they didn't as it's the only argument they have albeit a very weak and spurious one. The lawyers are just after a pay-out themselves and EVERYONE in the country will see their taxes rise to pay for it.
These women paid in all there life. I have worked now for 59 years as I could not be able to retire as I was short changed. I was never informed. I had to wait 10 months before I could get my pension. I am short changed by £98 a month x 13 years £15.288.00. They said men and women should be equal my husband gets £250 a month more than me. This Government want us ladies to vote for them😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀👎👎👎👎👎
