- In this video I install a shift kit from transgo on my nitrous powered ram rt with Jay greene tune and cam. It's a reprogramming kit to install in the valve body for the ram trucks,jeeps,Durango and transmissions 545rfe, 65rfe or 45rfe valve body removal or replacement

I'm not a mechanic more like a DIY kind of guy this gave me an eye-opener on how my Ram shifts I've noticed some weird slipping and un even shifts when down shifting and upshifting on my 6spd automatic transmission keep them videos coming 🤘👍

@@FrostbiteRam yeh they've been doing it alot from what I've heard. JBA is still a great company and they make a really good product. Just alil lazy with things. Cant wait to see her after the longtubes. So what's next for Frostbite?
@@618b.k.g.5 drag pack and tires, a stall soon. Perhaps some boost or a second stage of nitrous haven't made my mind up yet??

I want a lil more outta my ram but no plans on goin crazy..Maybe a mild cam and headers with cat back for flow..Then have it tuned with my diablo trinnity..I dont think there is much point in a stall converter for my use of the trk..So unless the shift kit helps or is better than a tranny tune that will be the limit of my trk..Im a single guy who bought a home last yr so mu F U $ is now very limited..
My valve body has a washer on the over drive accumulator and the spring is longer I’m going back to oem springs does that washer need to be installed with the plate or can I just install the spring and be fine

How are Im looking for something that fixes my hard and long shifting only when I floor it and it goes to 3rd or 4th on my 05 Ram Daytona 2wd. Great vids and I also like the torque storm setup u got.
Custom trans tuning is best and only option really. Best would be a cope racing trans swap to 46re
You have to put your finger over the hole on top of the vb to get that low rev piston out

I have a 2014 express 6spd tranny
And I believe I have same 2 filters
My truck is at 64k and looking to change the tranny fluid.
I tried ordering from advanced auto and they don’t carry. Should I go to dealer to get the filters atf fluid?
I got them from napa auto instead of the dealer. I would get them from mopar tho.
Hey brother, what do I need to do to help my 545rfe live with 500+hp and torque? It's got 140k miles on it - '07 ram 4 door, 4x4, 35x12.50 tires, 6" lift, 397ci stroker (molnar crank and rods, CP bullet pistons, inertia cam, hellcat lifters, longtube headers, magnum intake, eagle heads, 10.56:1cr. The engine is sitting on its stand in my shop, but goes in the truck next week. I'd hate to put all this work in the motor and kill the tranny on the first outing. I assume the sonnax line pressure booster, transgo kit, and sonnax solenoid are required. What else can be done?

Installed this same kit and now everything works great except reverse. Any idea? Seen some others had same issue. Like I said everest works great but no reverse.
Something is not installed correctly
Hey I just installed this in my truck and my truck is not going into reverse or reverse is not grabbing. The transmission worked great up until this shift kit. It drives forward and appears everything else is working good! I have not driven the truck yet. Any ideas? Any help?
Make sure solenoid didn't come un plugged?

I got 130k on my 65rfe all pink fluid will this make my shifts seamless I feel like these trucks are always trying to measure load and how fast you push throttle
Helps shift faster but won't be any firmer.
Did you delete the catalytic converter? I see the o2 sensors in the pipe you get engine light on?
Yes they deleted and no codes. Because I have custom tune.

Do you think the 5spd hold up better than the new 8spd?
Mine has been very good, but the 8 speed is faster
Is the mopar on backwards or is something with the camera
Just the way the camera pick it up.
Was the shift kit worth it? I'm debating on outing one in my 65rfe.
It helps to make the shifts quicker.

Does your valvebody have 7 check balls or 5 check balls
Honestly can't remember long time ago and I don't use this transmission anymore.
It should have 5 because if it has 7 it would be a valve body from before 2009. The shift connector is color coded. Gray connector = 5 balls.
White connector = 6 balls
Blue connector = 7 balls
What kind of lift is that???
Its a fairly old napa lift but works well

@@FrostbiteRam can you do a video on cams?? I know you went with the .5 HL but why now a 1.5 etc. Trying to understand cams
@@19five7 the .5 is for na or nitrous motors that works great with factory stall converter with a clean idle unless you run the lope tune. It does work good with a procharger also per jay.
@@FrostbiteRam ok so I'll probably look at the same cam you got then... I daily mine.. Yours sounds like it has a nice chop.. You notice a big power increase?
@@19five7 oh yes that cam has a lot of low end torque gain.
