- In this video, Coach Courtney Gatlin talks about one of my success stories with a guy that I did a month coaching with late last year who's ex came back after a rebound relationship. He's a 24 year old guy from Paris who struggled as an anxious attacher. He was with a girl for 3 years and she left him for someone else. Like most, he didn't realize that this was his style until my newest series of videos.
When he reached to me for a coaching inquiry, he had already exhausted a few other venues of coaching, but still couldn't calm his anxiety. In our sessions, we were able to get down to why he was struggling so bad, come up with a plan for self-improvement, and get him from where he needed to be mentally.

Couldn't do it,, my wife of 17 years left me and our 3 Young children for another man and tried to return I couldn't do it, not only would she lose respect for me but I would have lost respect for myself,, do you really think you will trust them again,hell no!! Your there second choice
Did you stop loving her after she left? How long was she gone before she came back? When she came back, had you already moved on?
I respect that. Same thing happened to me. 3 kids and left me for another man. She originally was trying to use me as a backup just in case her side piece fell through and I'm not having it. I'm not a "Break in Case of Emergency" type of guy.
I'm happy for him, but I will never understand how can someone take this person back after, to put it simple, had sex with someone else right after the breakup, completely disrespecting your partner and yourself, had a taste, and then Oh, now I see the grass is not greener but at least I had a taste of another guy i've been trying to, now i'm ready to go back to him. Man, screw that, i'm genuinely happy for this guy, but man, how can you live with this thought in your head bro..

@@IamCoachCourt I wish I could think differently, but I see life for what it is, because no matter if you try to sweep it under the carpet, you KNOW it's there, it happened. No matter how much one tries, this thought will be forever spinning in your head, the moment you marry her, the moment you decide to have kids, your WHOLE life. Maybe human psyche longs happiness no matter the cost, I don't know, maybe we are all addicts looking for this kind of chemical reaction in our brains, no matter the way we get it. Sometimes, hell I dare say most of the times, the thought of losing your limb in order to survive is way more scarier than death itself, for the simple fact that death is not the immediate consequence. We lack the ability to visualize the future in order to get immediate temporary relief. It is most interesting really, but what's most interesting and rarely seen, is the capacity of one saying, CHOP IT OFF, NOW.
Yeah but they were both apart. Still not easy but when time is spent apart it creates a disconnect and helps both parties to see things clearly. Removes the rose-colored glasses. 🤷🏻♀️

Hi Coach Court! I appreciate you and your videos. It helps us a lot and I'm truly greatful to you. My ex girlfriend dumped me little over couple months ago. We've been together for 4 years. We're both anxious attachers. I begged and pleaded post breakup for a month then I decided to to no contact. She reached out on day 3 but it was just casual and she never reached out after that. Couple weeks ago she's been liking sad quotes on social media and was watching sad breakup songs on youtube. I found out because her email address is still on my phone and I was able to access her RUclips history. On day 31 which was last friday, I found out that she's interacting with another dude thru an email that she sent. It was something about her zodiac sign traits. I'm not sure if it is a rebound or just a friend but I believe it's heading towards that direction. I am devastated once again. The next day I had a weak moment and reached out. We had a positive interaction and she seemed to be excited to hear from me. She asked about how I'm doing and my work situation. She even brought up that she's gaining weight and asked me to say hello to my youngest sibling. I didn't brought the other dude because it may mess it all up. After a day, I reached out again and I got a plain response and there wasn't any excitement. I reached out because I thought she's talking to the other dude thinking that I won't reach out to her ever again. I regretfully removed her email. It totally backfired on me. I'm very anxious about the whole situation. I'm back to no contact for 2 days now. What would be the best thing I can do in this situation? The thought of her sleeping with that dude disgusts me that's why I really wanna get myself back in the picture. Just to add, we had a very deep connection. We're each other's lovers and best friend. We're on LDR because she's on med school. We're very okay with the distance and we see each other every couple months. I usually stay over the weekend in a hotel in the area and we do a lot of nasty stuff just like normal couples do. My grandma died last December and I was so devastated. It caused me to be needy and clingy to her that lead to us breaking up om February 28. During the post breakup, we still in contact and I'm getting a lot of hot and cold responses from her. I believe that she dumped me even though she didn't want to but because of the situation.
An anxious/anxious dynamic can be very tumultuous one. If she is truly a anxious type, the distance will be hard for her to bear. You HAVE to get control of those impulse and understand that people are going to do what they want to do. When you become more secure it’ll radiate more confidence. Stop living in fear my friend!
@@IamCoachCourt I'm very confused about the sad quotes and her youtube watch history. She obviously missed me. And the way she responded when I reached out was just something. Kinda felt the she panicked when my message popped up. During the post breakup, she told me that if I'm gonna find someone new, she wants me to do it after 3 months. It hasn't been 3 months yet and I feel that they're still not in the relationship stage. I'm pretty sure that they haven't met yet and will not be due to the pandemic. My anxiety tells me to interfere by letting her feel that I'm still around and that she can lean on me if she's having a hard time 😢

I may have overreacted a little when I found out that she was in a rebound and called her a liar for leading me on and never told me and lied about everything. I feel really bad for overreacting I won't do it again I know how to keep my calm. how do you display the masculinity if NC. or if I ever do talk to her again do I just keep cool and know my value and don't cling? remain calm and not let anything affect me? focus on myself and learn from regret? what did you instruct him to do? I'm an AA or AP I believe. thank you coach for your wisdom.
also I hope my overreacting isn't the end all be all. I'm embarrassed for my protest behavior I understand now. I didn't know what else to do rolling over didn't sound right! I understand that was feminine and not masculine.
my last messages to her, I was calming down and may have taken a few low jabs but she had said some things that really hurt. like "the love hasn't been there" and other excuses.
I'm sure if she looks back in hindsight without the dude in the picture I really think she may not mean that. maybe she was just too preoccupied with him and leaving me or had her own reasons to leave. I just wonder if she will ever reflect and see me as not so bad after all. sure we had our problems but I come from the mindset that we can fix anything and we may go through very tough times but there is brighter days ahead! wish she saw that. did the 6 years mean nothing?
hope that the rebound doesn't totally make her get over me and she never looks back:/ you have to atleast look back to learn and grow right?? she even said after everything that we got along really well! I don't know what to think.
I had kept my cool all up until that point when I found out about her. I just don't want that to be the last thing she remembers me by. I feel so shitty and feel like I ruined everything. I really hope sometime In the future I can prove myself that I've grown so much since.
I'm sure she knows it hit me hard and hopefully understands how it probably makes me feel even though she doesn't feel the grief like I do since she has a new guy already. sigh.
