I imagine a Brown Trout that size would be made to feed a family for days and would have been a centrepiece on the dinner table....(minus the Brussel sprouts for me ,they would best be catapulted as far as possible !)....
Isn't it much better to watch | Graeme doing real fishing instead of the yobs fishing for carp, all there screaming, shouting and back-slapping. A true angler Graeme.
"Quasimodo" a great name for a new clothing line! happy day to ya Captain G! and congrats on that brownie! holy cow!! and about 14:55 i almost needed new pants .. 😅QuasiNinja
Really enjoyed watching you smashed it on the fishing and them moles don't like your garden them bikes are ace and then flowers made by hand looks good
Finally, someone who reminds me of my fishing trips with my late father on the River Frome in Herefordshire. I was left his trusty Bruce and Walker rod and Mitchell 300. I couldn't use his reel because he was left handed but I was fortunate enough to find a pair on Ebay from a seller in France for a mere 50euros. I really should get back out there and start fishing the Rivers again. We don't have any Grayling in Ireland but the Trout fishing is good.
@@TAFishing I work that if I started fishing again I wouldn't enjoy it. I saw someone remove a Jack Pike from the River Suir in County Tipperary recently and the Lakes are being decimated as well. It us a pretty sad state of affairs.
So gad to see you float fishing this river again! I think you got that first float about 4 years ago. Glad it's finally made an appearance! You have caught roach, dace, grayling, and a giant rainbow trout here.
You're not allowed to take any outside of the season but it does demonstrate that fly fishing well beautiful and skillful is not the easiest way of catching trout.
another great session to watch I will be using some of your tips on the River Eden. Merry Christmas and looking forward to sharing your fishing time in 2024
WOuld love it if you did a special show about the joys and agonies of paste fishing. I used to mix mine with kiti kat in the summer in my endless pursuit of summer tench..sadly my PB was only 3lb but what a magical time trying to catch them at night with a night float..
I think quite a few stillwaters ban the use of Catfood, yet it was a standby 50 years ago, making up mushy pastes of the stuff...Another useful one is using shrimp paste or fish paste and mushing that with either flour or bread into a usable paste.
Delighted to see that hauling in that brown trout straightened the poor hunch-back's back out. That Quissimodo character's good at fishing. Guess pulling on a bell-rope is a bit like reeling a line in. Apparently, he took up fishing when the Notre Dam burnt down and he was made unemployed and homeless. It seems he's now living in a tackle shack shed in some kindly lady's garden in England.
Love watching ur videos GP I caught my pb grayling a couple of weeks ago was well chuffed. Have a great Christmas mate, and hope the lines are even tighter next year, stay safe and well buddy ❤😊
Hello Graeme, just what I needed mate, been really rough not been out for over three weeks grrrr, and anyway shut up Clive, you always just shine through, and full on showing the way it is, all the best to you and your family, have a great crimbo, and a another new year with you, used to be Grayling in the river Wey I did have a few, there not there now, catch you later mate, be well.
If i had the money I'd buy a trike. It would need a trailer for all my fishing gear, tent etc. but I'd be happy. Thanks for the fun video Graeme and happy Christmas to you, Mrs P and everyone else. 🎉🥂🥳
Allo mate, love your shows, i just got in and tuned in and thought what the f*** has he got there.. lol Merry Christmas to you and your team luv from London..
Hahaha that mole battle cracked me up. As soon as the air rifle came out I thought the expanding foam was coming out again😂 I'm having similar battles with slugs at the moment.....driving me bonkers. Happy xmas to you and the family
Nice brownie 😊 As for the moles stick one of those kids windmills in the hill or several of them, they hate the vibrations they make In the ground ,plus you may get some worms coming to the top ?can't beat a bit of easy bait for ya next trip out 😅😅😅
I always fish a bodied stick type float with 2 or 3 rubbers on the stem (bends the line around the float body, rather than having a gap) Also, if a rubber breaks, you have a backup rubber - especially if using 3 rubbers. 1 up to the lower body, 1 middle & 1 on the end.
I really like your vids and if I could I would like to pick your brains on the problem I have encountered, how to you deal with miss jogging along the river shore and start attacking you about fishing and causing harm to fish, the last bit was the quote. Thank for your video and if you get the chance to reply. Happy New Year
Tackle tarts take note it's not about the latest high-end gear it's watercraft that land the fish. Put the time in if you blank learn from it go over where you could have gone wrong it'll pay off in the long run. Great video Graeme , hope you and the family have a great Christmas 👍
I've always sort of admired how meticulous and downright tactical British fisherman get. It's like the sailors of the Napoleonic Wars transitioned into angling or something. There seems to be a separate language and level of preparation here that I don't get. I wish I could take some out to some streams in the US with nothing but rods and tackle, maybe a cooler full of nice cold beer...
If you watched the film properly you will see the part where I say its about 4/5 weeks to the end of the season ??....Old saying.."Act in haste..repent at leisure"...
What weight do u reckon the trought weighed I ve not spoke to you for a year or two please tell me youve retired Your vids are amazing God bless you and your family
No,never fished the Kennet near its source. I imagine it must be all private trout fishing for Browns .But you could always check with the nearest tackle shop.
Still wearing the bodyprotector from motorracing ? When it’s comfy go for it , looks cool. There are guys who liked to wear their helmets under their shirts but your look makes the moped guys turn their necks I reckon. Yes you called it but I had to comment for support.
Graham or commentators, could anyone tell me what river this is,not the exact stretch,it's just that it looks the same colour as my local semi polluted river irwell
Already done 4 films on it this month, just a question of when I decide to put them up....I hold all films and put them up when I fancy. Or indeed if I consider it topical or pertinent to a particluar time of year.
I do have a card from the man that does it.If you send an email to Mike at TA Outdoors site I can forward you the man's contact. I am sure he may be able to help you. Its a rare piece of craftsmanship.
“There’s Dace in here that’ll take your arm off.”…….that made my day Graeme. Merry Christmas.

Great laid back fishing. Great to see for us leisure fishers. Keep it going , banter great.👍😁🤝
Mega brown trout Graeme, you are the river master I’ve learned a lot watching you river fish over the years
He wasn't joking about the trout 😂😂 unbelievable what a guy 🍻🏆
Nice brown trout good job the line was 5lpb through. I like ya humour. May God keep you in his joy and peace and revelation of who he is.

That elusive giant dace...maybe get a float from Smith...might be an idea.
Lots of bird life there..
Lovely bikes...
Happy Christmas Graeme and thanks for all you do for us.
No problem,I enjoy making them, and glad I stockpiled films with all the wind blasting through recently ,I haven't bothered going for a while.
Have a great Christmas - so much fun and soooo helpful
Brilliantly informative, hilariously funny. Thanks Graham for a fantastic year of entertainment. Happy Christmas to you & all the family 🎅🎄☃️🤗

Merry Christmas from warm and sunny☀️ Kos Greece
It is fairly mild over here but I could do with the warm and sunny...
if there were more owls about and foxs ,then there would not be so many moles.

save some of the mole hill soil you can riddle it and use it to add to river groundbait.
I have heard of that, but I also heard they have a lot of fleas ,or was it ticks ?
The only way to get rid of moles is a thumper which cost money 😅
Did you forget to take the coat hanger out of your jumper Grahame 😂😂 Merry Christmas to you and your family 👍
First the foam, now firecrackers, before long there’ll just be a crater in your garden 😂
They are unbeatable I reckon...but I still have a few cunning plans to use.
That's an amazing trout water that, very nice grayling too........ Can u show us each fish properly and for longer then. A. Second, thanks
