Yes Graeme love your archive videos on the old stuff reminds me of my dad the beach fishing to also the relationship you have with your son the same wait on your latest video each week 🤘
Graeme loving watching your videos and commentary….your technique is instinctive. From watercraft of casting to a “crease” or to a likely holding spot is absolutely effortless. Real angling skill in action.
Very enjoyable watch Graeme, particularly with this cold, grey weather outside . I was in Hampshire over Xmas and went to Mottisfont and saw the excellent Nutcracker show in the house. On another subject; my Dad was a bren gun carrier driver in Normandy in the Second World War. I remember going to an army display in the late 1950' s. He could still take the Bren apart and reassemble it quickly. Back in south Devon now with the same grey cold weather. More vids like this please, John
Pleased you enjoyed it,working on another mixed one for next week already..!...And i think we all know what you mean with this cold blanket cloud...had it several weeks now.
Interesting as always Graeme. The Polish guy was very knowledgeable. I keep meaning to say that I always enjoy reading your video description. They are always very well written.
Thanks for the kind comment. Working on another mixed film this evening,I get bored easily and can't watch the TV so I might as well see what other topics I have in my files.
I could almost smell the leather in that Jag, I’ve had quite a few MGB’s and I started with a morris minor and graduated to an Anglia. Love the old cars that’s my kind of Sundays. The straight shorter cartridges are pistol rounds less accurate and only short range, the bottle necks are rifle rounds much more accurate at long distances. I’m looking forward to my fist shots with my 1886 antique Winchester.😊
I went out yesterday and tried one of the exploding targets to see what they went off like..Used the .22 air rifle at about 10 yards....Wow..! They certainly go off loud. Hopefully a film coming for T.A.Outdoors...Should echo pretty well through the woodland.
Hello Graeme, yes the rivers have changed for sure, well done anyway at leaste you had one out, happy new year mate, and I look forward to your new adventures, keep well, and safe.
I was out on the beach last night for a few hours but even though wind down and tide appeared good the fishing was really poor. I think that might be the end of my beach exploits for a while. I've done a lot and been pleased, but in Jan and Feb it usually dies a death,so that might the January fishing for the next couple of months.
I know exactly this stretch and agree - piking is signficantly harder now than 8 or 9 years ago. It's also true that more people pike fish the stretch more often now than they did then, and we all know that pike really don't respond well to high pressure, so that might have something to do with it? It's also true that we now have otters on the stretch, and that nitrate levels are higher (they are measured regularly by one of the local anging clubs) so I suspect (no actual proof) that it may be a combination of reasons that's caused the increased challenge?
Its just having fished it from the Ernie Leah era its still in my mind as to how it looked and what was in there. He got in n scythed swims out for anglers so they could run a float or rolling leger through. And the water was way clearer. Same with many rivers, its hard to put my finger on it(not that I'd want to without surgical gloves) but there seems a slight "bloom" in the clarity ,and I feel many of the rivers are never going to come back to how I remember them. Hopefully I can put together some river slides so the last 2 generations will know what it was looking like in the late 60's and realise how its all changed. But as you say its is a combination of many things, not just one.
The reason for small or lighter modern ammunition is really so you can carry a lot more, allowing you to suppress the enemy. Rifles are shorter and don't have the long range as they did in ww2 etc unless they are specific for specific roles (marksman etc).
Walked around two and a half miles -and back- on my local canal, with not me nor the other probably four anglers catching. Canal+winter is not a good combo 😂
I have to confess I am not a lover of Canals myself.Though if you are in the know as to where the fish hang out you are likely to be successful. Location is the key.
I also believed this and it makes good logical sense as we've overfished our seas really badly... until I learned that the pesky cormorants we see inland were actually originally from Scandinavia where they naturally predate on inland waters. A particularly harsh winter back in the 80's forced them to journey South, and unfortunately for us a number of them liked the UK so much they never went back home again! They are in fact a different strain from our 'normal' UK sea birds. That doesn't help our freshwater fish though!! :-(
2nd comment. I had the M16 with the three round burst, like the guy had, assist in my training death. I had a Red Force squad inside our platoon perimeter. I needed to put a metric shit ton of point blank fire at them yesterday not next week. I got 3 rounds stoppage. 3 rounds stoppage and I died a training death instead of saving my squad. I had the same weapon, on a different day, become a club after I crawled through sand. I hated my M16.
The toilet in the multi-story I park my bike in is closed permanently due to 'anti-social behaviour'. Got t wonder what it's all about, should it really read ' this toilet is closed due to too social behaviour ?'
I tried a public wc in where I pick my Ragworm up..Doors closed..and they were always open .A nearby worker told me they shut about 2/3pm ? Why ? What are our council taxes for ?
I’m afraid a lot of are local rivers have been wiped out when I talk to these people they think we are mad for putting the fish back No they don’t care about are rules and customs
All very true ,but in my 74th year I am not about to rush out and invest in all new equipment, drones, etc,we have done all that. Luckily its all free to watch and there is of course the "off" button . I am only doing it all for my own amusement so as long as I enjoy it (plus a few others) that's enough for me. But do feel free to pop out and invest in some brand new camera equipment, editing software and all the other stuff and give it a go yourself . It can be quite fun ,although "fun"may be about to be banned as well..!! (closely followed by smiling......)
From way down here in El Paso, Texas we love watching this Ol Chaps fishing adventures

Happy Christmas GP all the best to you and your family.👍👍👍👍
Looks like you have got a new tackle bag for Christmas I hope it brings you luck and a bend in your rods!
No its just the old food bag ,I wanted to travel light.
Nice Graeme Singer moters were british from coventry

Alright Graeme, now you have my curiosity up, what were the white things you picked up off the shore?😂
Golf balls...!...I picked up around 10...
I recognized and used about all that stuff, I was 11 years National Guard, KyArNG and OhioNG.
Greetings from NY
Hi there New York...
I trust you enjoyed your food at Loomies at Meon. Happy New Year.
Always a good breakfast at Loomies ,and I like to see all the different motorbikes . Plus its a nice drive in the countryside.
Your completely correct it's the bird brains few who ruin it for everyone

So, what were those small, white, round balls scattered along the river bank? Or did I miss something? 😮
Yeah, what a tease, I'd like to know as well. Come on Graham, spill the beans.
Golf balls...!! That area backs onto one of the greens and after the high water I found about 10 all exposed and waiting to go on Ebay..!
Wear a hard hat next time Graham😁👷♂
Cormorants are hammering the rivers because we've taken all the fish from the sea.
I also believed this and it makes good logical sense as we've overfished our seas really badly... until I learned that the pesky cormorants we see inland were actually originally from Scandinavia where they naturally predate on inland waters. I would never have thought of that but it does seem to make sense for close combat requirements.
Maybe someday Graeme videos will be the data base (fish/no fish/used to be fish) for a future neo-environmentalism? Would be a nice legacy.
I would like to think there might be something useful in the films for the future...
Awfully rude of that guy in the back of that trailer not to talk to you. He could have at least told you he was out of coke.😂
✔️❤️
jack pike = small pike

No they don’t care about are rules and customs
A friend of mine once said they were barbecuing Chub on the river bank ..!
@@TAFishing I’m taking this reply as a good omen I’ve literally just pulled up to my local venue hopefully I don’t see any one barbecuing any fish
Not much fishing action in this video, doubtful I'll watch another, camera work not good and you need a body worn microphone.
