- Well its been over a month now since the pike spawned on my local waters and I think its about time to start fishing for them again. This time of year jerkbaits can be deadly! The pike are fired up and chasing baitfish and jerkbaits imitate that perfectly! I had an action packed session with plenty of fish landed and lots of great footage! Hope you enjoy!

I highly respect the fact that you give them time to recover after the spawn. Very good conservation of resources and respect for the species. Kudos to you for being responsible.
Awesome fishing Chris! 🔥 Stunning footage on that drone too! 👌
Very respectful of the rest period you allow the fish. Good on ya mate.
Love the drone shots of the takes. Looked like a really fun session. I’ve just bought my first baitcaster so I’m lapping up videos of sessions like this.
Really enjoyed the sections with all the bird song in the background, noise of the real etc. - transforms the viewer experience to actually being on the bank.
Very good. Your videos are getting to be really high quality. I watch loads and loads of fishing RUclipsrs and you're definitely one I'll watch as soon as it's uploaded.
Brilliant session the ariel shots were top notch very enjoyable watch thanks again Chris !
yep love the new drone shots
Piketastic! Love the overhead shots. 👌
Great lure session……we do appreciate that this is 5 hours filming and probably as much editing. Loving the drone footage.
Good watch ..I've watched a few of your videos..just getting back into fishing myself..some nice fish 🎣👌
Never miss an up load keep them coming 💥🎣
Amazing drone footage!! You almost never see this kind of pike action filmed like this in the UK
Nice vid mate, your movies are gonna get more proffesional and very nice, keep on doing the great work, best regards from Holland 👍👍👍
You have some Lovely looking canal that you fish Chris. Great piece of pike fishing too . Always good to watch.
Excellent video, as always Chris. Love the drone shots and the sense of being with you as you fish. Hard work I'm sure, but much appreciated.
Chris is one of those rare youtube fishermen who continues to improve the quality of his videos while never losing sight of what got him where he is in the first place: love and passion for fishing
Amazing to see the takes from up above. Fantastic video.
Loving the overhead drone shots! You can see where the rise or shoot out to slam your lure!
I wish the Beverly beck was stocked like this amazing fishing man
Really great footage. thank you 😀
Another quality video with some great drone footage and under water stuff. Well done sir
Amazing drone footage, hope to see more of this in future vids, maybe with some surface fishing for carp? ❤

I would love you to come to staffordshire and try Caldon canal and trent mersey around stoke - Just to see if you can grt any pike out from there, because I surely can't 😂
Amazing as usual.
I checked out this part of the canal the other day, I'm defiantly buying a membership for that stretch haha
Much improved film view, terrific stuff 👍🚀

"Mick Tracy & Mick Kelly" ... ahh ye cant beat the irish lads... 🙄😂
"Jerkin yer arm for 5 or 6 hours can be exhausting..''.... 🙈🙉🙊
Nice vid !!
😎👍☘️🍺
Nice video . Well done.
Chris I would love a livestream. It would set much better expectations, thank you.
Its great for biggish pike on the Leeds-Liverpool canal over here in chorley lancs.
Great video m8 could be doing with losing a set of trebles from those lures pike coming in with hooks in the body had same problem with big salmo lures hooks everywhere took off the front ones made a big difference
The canals you fish are always clear, unlike the Ashby Canal where I live
I get a bad back ache after an hour of lure fishing then by that point i give up😂
Lol nothing worse bro🤜👍
Make sure you get a good bag and make sure you distribute the weight evenly throughout the bag. Makes such a difference.
Man, you DESERVE a narrow boat. Great vid. Thanks:::
Making those baits ...work!....
Great videos, do you debarb the trebles you use?
Your videos just get more professional with time Chris that drone footage was class, under water and drone footage awesome stuff
Great video..what time do you start fishing at
So jealous you have an abundance of pike in your local canals, mine the Ashton canal seems devoid of them?!
Hey bro, cool video! I see how you handle them and know there is a knack to it but aren’t you afraid of one clamping down on your hand or whatever? On the canal they are still quite fresh and still plenty of fight in them when you get them in because there is so little room to “fight” them. You’re a braver man than me! lol 👍🙂🏴
Great video as usual. How is the drone footage filmed?
Great tip! Few more of those and I might stop blanking 😂 do you have an alternative lure with a similar actions because that’s too heavy for my 10-40g??
Loving the view from the drone, can’t wait for the weed to die back on my local stretch 👍. Quick question what’s the difference between the mc tracer and the mc jerk?
You got any advice for canal fishing I use sprat on bottom mate any advice mate
Hi, Great video! Anyone know which size and weight lure he is using?
Great respect, but the recognised Pike season is October to March for real Pike anglers.
I'm looking for a good pike rod to go lure fishing on pikes, using hardbaits, some spinners and some rattle plugs. do you have suggestions on which rod to use?
Come to Glasgow fourth and Clyde cannal it's good pike and cycle path all along it
You're very lucky to have miles, and miles of small water like that, with big Predators ....very hard to find !!
Where the hell do you find a canal that clear? Great action pack vid...
I noticed you’re using a Fluro trace there. What’s your thinking about using them rather than wire?
People say that they’re not line shy but I find on my local canal (which is usually gin clear) that I get way more offers on fluro.
Great vid man. Did you say 80 pound braid??
I use to use 12 grams ABU Reflex, a spinnerbait, in silver and orange body, even for big pikes and perch...test it it will amaze you. My biggest onthat is 10 kgs on a lightrod.
Quality fishing👌 the same on my stretch at the min, doesn’t matter about the size, the sport is brilliant! Which stretch of canal do you fish? I’m on the Lancaster PAC
Where did you get your fishing bag from?
Hi could you do a video where you buy in line spinners from decathlon and catch fish you don't have to if you don't want to
Please tell me what song the instrumental is from in the first part of this video. It's driving me made. Love your content
It counts as a catch when you touch the leader 😀
What reel have you paired with the Abu Garcia Beast?
In the Netherlands we are required to wait until the last Saturday of may. Are u sure you give them enough time? Just asking
Surely you should crush those barbs. Double trebles with barbs!
hei man! How thick (in mm) is your fluoro leader (or pounds resitance)? Also what knot do you use to connect your snap to leader and main braid to fluoro? I am fishing for pikes since i was a kid but in Romania we use pre-made steel leader but as they got more and more expensive, fluoro leader is such a great deal but i am a beginner at it and i don't know much, thank you!
Hello, what trace are you using?
good afternoon where do you say this place
are the canals closed session?
Good video. More information about what u use and how to use it. Would be great. ?
I caught a Jack pike today float fishing on a red maggot can not believe it
You should travel to the US and try to catch a Muskellunge! They’re like Pike, but much much much bigger.
Or pickerel, which is like pike but much, much smaller lol
@@tonyroberts4807 now that sounds like a challenge Chris can’t turn down. What’s the smallest pike he can catch on a lure !
Рыжий, привет 🤝👍😀🤝
👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I need these lures...
Realy nice video
Where is this location
Never fished for pike
Would like to have a go
Can i have the postcode please bro?
Regards
Does a canal count as a river right? If so the river season is closed atm.
Nope 👍
@@The_ginger_fisherman ok nice video and nice pike anyway
Where is the canal ?
I bet he won't catch a pick at the great union cannal near new bradwell
I see you are using 83lb breaking strain for pike fishing here do you always use that heavy?
I do with the big lures buddy
nice vid m8, break a leg
I haven't fished in a while, but I always used wire traces. You seem to be using mono filament for the trace. Whats the logic behind this?
What time of the day are you fishing?
Daytime.... 🙄😂
You can fish anytime but early mornings is a favourite... preferably not in strong sunlight...😎👍☘️🍺
@@peterfitzpatrick7032 Thanks! I usually like to fish at around 4 or 5 max till 7.
Nice video Chris 👍you don’t seem to reply very much to your comments.
Hope your camera recovers from it's little dip
Shame my local canal is turd brown pretty much all year😂
Bit like my canals and they are no where near as productive as the waters Chris fishes.
Makes me want to up sticks and move area.
