    Great video and your maintenance tips are spot on. With regards to Dave Matthews, we love his Dreaming Tree vineyards and wines. Probably no surprise there…

      Maybe Lauren would like DMB better if she had a glass of his wine first… thanks for the idea you guys!

    Oh wow that electrical cord scared me! So you think it over heated because it was hot and the AC drew a lot of power? Also I love that you call your RV the burrito haha.

      Thanks for the comment Sophia! Most likely it was a poor connection in combination with the high power demands of our AC last summer. Glad you like our Airstream’s nickname! Take care!

    Yes, I think a 90 degree at trailer would help. Great video and take care. Dave.

    Hey guys great maintenance tips. Also, I feel your pain when editing a video and trying to keep it interesting. You guys do a great job with your channel. Keep it up.

      Thanks Rick and Lisa! We love the creativity of editing. It’s all a learning process and it’s really fun to see your growth over time. It’s not so fun loosing great footage or having the dreaded “editing” block… but thankfully that only happens 2% of the time. 😂 Excited that we can now follow along on your journey! Best to you always!

    Great video. Very informative and you guys hit all the important points, except generic marshmallow cereal. :) I have a 1/8" diameter by 15' long, stainless steel cable I run up my condensate drain. I'll have to check mine for the "T", though. We recently got a new(er) Airstream which has to Heat pumps and I need to find each drain. Thanks for all the goo info, the beach shots are great and Moo-sinex is very funny. We look forward to seeing your videos.

    Every month or two (during the AC months) we add a few ounces of bleach to our home AC's condensation line, which kills bacteria that grows in the line.

      This is actually a great idea. I was thinking I might be seeing a little algae in there last time we cleaned it. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Just curious as to what you did to repair the damaged AC plug. I assume you had to replace both male & female connectors. Had a similar thing happen to our RV and I ended up installing a 30 amp Smart Plug. I have been very pleased with it so far & I like the way it 'clips' into place. One other not, Dave Mathews rocks!

      @ALittleBitUnhitched  Год назад +1

      We were in a time crunch at the time so we just switched to our “back up” power cord. No major damage on our power inlet thankfully. Parts just came in for the old cord repair. Plan to replace the male and female connectors. Our surge protector also overheated in the process so that will be scrapped as we consider an upgrade to an EMS. We got a ton of suggestions for a Smart Plug after posting this video so we also may make that switch before next summer. Thanks for the comment! DMB for life! 😂

    What brand of truck mirror extensions do you guys use?
    It was tough finding any pickup in 2022 and a new one with extending mirrors would have made us wait another 5-6 months.

    • @ALittleBitUnhitched
      @ALittleBitUnhitched  Год назад

      We just bought some at Walmart that we can strap onto the mirrors and they have worked pretty well for us!

    DMB is ok, but I like Five For Fighting even better. You should know, but if you don't check them out, because I'm sure he'll like Five For Fighting.

      @@ALittleBitUnhitched "America Town" or "The Battle For Everything". Both albums have my two favorite songs on them. Superman (It's Not Easy) is on America Town, and 100 Years is on The Battle For Everything. So listen to both albums, and or for my sake at least check out those songs as singles. However any album by him is good. I say him because his name is actually Vladimir John Ondrasik III and Five For Fighting is his stage name.

      Funny how I was like "Never heard of this band" just did a quick search of Five For Fighting "Superman" and "100" years. Yep, totally know him. I wish he had an Essentials collections. I just check. Great Call on this band, and I am old lol

    Power cord,
    Replace with a 90 degree at trailer. Too much stress at plug at trailer causing loose connection. Nothing to do with ac usage.

    • @ALittleBitUnhitched
      @ALittleBitUnhitched  Год назад +1

      Hey John, good suggestion. We usually sit our excess power cord on top of our electrical pedestal so that that is comes into the trailer from and even 90 degrees. Thanks for the comment!
