To fix the corrosion, scrape off the loose clearcoat over the area using a plastic edge, then wipe it down with CorrosionX, then clean with isopropyl alcohol, then reapply the clearcoat using a pen style applicator that you can get in the airstream store. It’s pretty easy, and will slow or halt expansion of that spot.
Outstanding video - your maintenance tips are spot on. We agree on two very important points. First, embrace the blemishes. That’s what tells the world your Airstream is being used as intended. Second, just live with fillaform. We’ve tried to fix it as per the internet and, at best, we made no improvement and usually it ends up looking worse.
Your property looks so nice. You guys did a great job with that and yes, the sun screen is holding up nicely. This was a great video and you hit a lot of great points. How is the Velcro holing up for the No See Um netting? What a great idea. Traci totally smiled when the humming bird arrived because she will do the same thing. I hope I am not on a ladder she is holding when she hears a humming bird nearby. She wants to pet them all 🥰. I bought the maintenance book a few months ago and agree, it a is a great resource. Thank you for adding the items in the comments. It is very helpful
Hummingbirds obviously take priority over ladder safety. We both laughed out loud when we pictured that scenario. 😂 Thanks for the property compliment and making us smile Johnny!
Great video guys. We always enjoy watching your content. This video is very timely as we have some deep cleaning upcoming along with some overdue maintenance on the horizon. FYI - we always have a cold one 🍺 ready anytime you’re in the campground. Safe travels.
We are very similar to yall in that we dont have friends LOL & I love yalls pad setup. This video reminds me of all of the maintenance I have yet to do on our trailer 😜💃-Ash
It’s a metal wire that you run up the A/C drain line in the wheel well. I saw a video on the “Wanderlocal” RUclips channel ruclips.net/video/0iOtyK1X_HM/видео.html
i've puzzled about this for a long time. when u have a non-motorized trailer that requires a truck to tow, and u go to unknown places. when u anchored down and then detach from trailer to go into town to get supply and stuff, how do u safeguard ur airstream to not get towed away in ur absence?
@@ALittleBitUnhitchedPlease could you elaborate on the install of the no see um screens or do a video of how you did it. There was only 20 seconds of video showing them here. Which command strips? Thanks!
New airstream owner here. Thanks for the helpful maintenance tips. One question, what do you mean by washing with the grain? We want to give our trailer a bath, but I don't want to mess it up the first time we do it.
Don't forget to clean/flush the inside of the hot water heater. With a spray wand and/or flush with vinegar.
Great suggestion you guys! Consider it added to the bonus round! ☺️ Happy trails!

You guys are funny and entertaining. I’m surprised you don’t have more followers.
But we have fun and that’s enough for us. Thanks for the compliment David! We appreciate you being one of the mighty few 🍻

Thanks guys! Glad we see eye to eye on this!
Great video you two! Excellent tips and a lot of good advice in here. And we really appreciate the shout outs about our products.
Of course! Wouldn't get through our maintenance routine without them!

@JohnnyLawBMC Also, the Velcro has held up great! We’ve only had to replace one corner over the last two years! 😎
Good stuff! Thanks! My wife and I are new owners of Lucy! Lol
Congrats you guys! Lucy is a great name for an Airstream ❤️

Holding you to that cold one guys! Happy trails! 😎

Self awareness is half the battle! Good luck with the spring cleaning Ash!
Great video. I bought the AC drain line cleaner from the NoLOX guy. Our a/c line was dirty after only one year
Thanks J B! Where do you add the AC line cleaner to the system? Assuming that’s a roof project? Condensate collection cups? Thanks!

Just found your channel. As a GenXer I still enjoyed your Millennial content 😂. Are you guys still doing videos? I see you haven’t posted in awhile.
😂 We prefer quality over quantity. Thanks for finding us! New video dropping tomorrow.
How do you attach the no see um netting to the door and window screens?
Command strips! 😎

With the grain meaning sideways and not up and down. Enjoy your new rig Carol!! We are excited for you! 😎
