Hi Everyone, * Edit - MSRP Correction - Prolite Lounge MSRP is $29,300.* We hope you enjoyed our video! Which small camper under 3,500 lbs GVWR did you like best? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing your opinion about these RV floor plans.
Not quite sure what the market is for these. I lik small trailers; we have an 18 footer. But these are missing some amenities that help us take long trips. These seem perfect for one, maybe two, travelers on short trips.
@@elsie9649 That's the MSRP, which you should never pay. It's a buyer's market, so you can expect to negotiate 35 to 40% off of MSRP. Thanks for watching! Mike
Me and my wife, we own pro light lounge and it’s perfect for both of us with AC solar panels it’s perfect. We’re going to camping so we spent most of the time outside. But when rain the trailer give us enough space It’s cosy and comfortable beside this. It’s easy to tow car can handle with no problems and we can park anywhere. Thank you Prolite. Good job.
LOVE the cassette toilets! Super easy to empty in more places. I can visit my mom or my daughter in another state, use this as my personal “guest bedroom” in their driveway for a few days, and empty the cassette in a nearby travel stop dump station. We don’t only camp 🏕️ with a trailer, we visit family. I am shopping for something that can go ANYWHERE. Thank you for showing all different options.
We have the Encore 10KB (no burners, no toilet, and a bigger fridge w/extra cabinet above where the cassette toilet is), and with the bed open on one side, it feels quite spacious. We're coming from a 4x8 squaredrop with a 46 inch bed enclosed on 3 sides by walls, so... We spend most of our time outside, and aren't bothered by a potty tent, so it works for us. We can stand in it to dress and use the potty when traveling (think Truck Stop or Cracker Barrel). The tires are rated for 81mph, so we can drive highway speeds. There's SO much storage in the cabinets (underneath as well as up top). All the windows tilt out, great for having open in the rain. We have one 100ah Lithium Battery (it can hold 3), so we can keep the Fridge running while driving and run everything except the AC/heat. We got a small gas grill and 700 watt microwave for cooking/reheating. We have a gas fire pit, too. We can set up/tear down in 10 minutes now. The no wood or steel construction really sold us. We love this camper!
I really like the Prolite Lounge but wish it had a larger '2' door fridge. If I'm going to do this, I'd need a larger fridge with a Separate Freezer to store my storage containers of homemade sphagetti and chicken veggie soup, etc! Would be nice to add a couple of hooks on the inside of the bathroom door for towels, also a covered toilet tissue receptacle plus a caged metal area against the upper wall to place body wash, deodorant, lotion, cologne and a small hand sanitizer. I think if they'd add pull out shelves to that pantry, it would be a DONE DEAL! Guess I'd place a cup to the wall on the kitchen sink for toothpaste, floss and a toothbrush! Love the wood coloring! I may have to look at this over, I don't remember him saying anything about A/C or Heat, probably wrong about that though, Ha! Think I'd add Solar on top too! ...Price is too high because it doesn't have my bathroom essentials and a larger fridge... One thing 'I'd' do is add a carrier for a Trike! YES, I definitely like this one Best! 👍
So glad you like the Prolite. They do have other floor plans that might be a bit bigger or have other features that interest you. These travel trailers do come with AC and heat. Most TT come pre-wired for solar power and include a solar panel. I will say most RV owners will modify their campers with personal touches. We added a 4-chamber soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in our shower. We include the MSRP as a price point but we hope people negotiate a much lower sales price. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Love the vids and the production/editing is off the charts excellent! Question: are hybrids still a thing at this size and price point? We have a 2013 StarCraft ar one 15rb (2600lbs dry) And although it’s just the 2 of us, that pop out is handy and multi purposed. There seems to be a stigma about pop outs but they shouldn’t be written off as inferior. Thanks and keep up the great content!
@@TheUnclerickie Thanks for the kind words and Susan had a big smile when I read your comment to her - she does all of our editing and I agree - she is awesome! The first one is definitely a weekender and not a full time as it doesn’t have any storage and hate the refrigerator but I Love the counter space! As always another great review, thank you Mike and Susan.
Thanks for the video. The pro lite looks good. Good floor plan, not too big, not too small. $47,000 though. Ouch. For that much you can get a nicely equipped Escape 19
Prolite called us to let us know the MSRP is much lower than we are showing. So why do we have the wrong MSRP? Because ProLite doesn't list the MSRP on their website. So we looked up many dealerships who sell ProLite to get the MSRP and they are listing these units much higher than the manufacturer's MSRP so they can pretend they are giving you a bigger discount. Susan did revise the video to blur the MSRP for future viewers. The correct MSRP is $29,300. This issue is proof of what is going on in the RV industry to fool consumers. Thanks for watching!
@@RVBlogger thanks for reply and follow up. Yep it’s confusing how most RV’s we have looked at actually have higher MSRP ahead of then list price is at least $10,000 below. Weird that in this case it was opposite…..the mainstream RV industry is, well….”interesting”. Hope “they” (RV industry as a whole) figure it out, super unsettling the way they play with MSRP The pro lite looks awesome, thanks for providing content on the trailer.
Hi Sherri! Thanks and glad you liked these campers! We are heading to the OC MD RV Show next Monday so stay tuned for even more 2025 camper reviews! Hope you have a great week! Mike and Susan
In future videos. I would like to know which how the windows vent. What type of ceiling fans do they have? Refrigerator 2 way or 3 way and if any heater propane/electric or ac was available.
Hi Laura, Thanks for the suggestions! We always want to hear what our viewers want to see in our videos. What do you mean by how the windows vent? Here are some general rules to go by: There are no ceiling fans except for park models, 5th wheels and Class A RVs. ( sometimes there is a very rare exception to this) Also, very few fridges are 3 way. A/C is almost always available and although it's an option on most campers practically ever dealer across the country orders them with A/C units. There are so few exceptions to these generalizations we really don't cover the items you are asking about. But if we get more requests to cover these items we will consider it. Thanks for watching! Mike
Thanks for your videos!...But, why do they install a worthless mattress that even you agree has to be replaced sooner than later? These prices should include a quality mattress. 🎉Long time viewer!
So it’s cheaper on the manufacturer it’s easier and cheaper to get the cheap mattress with the cheaper materials in bulk vs buying a more expensive higher quality mattress with better materials in bulk
Good question! The only answer is money. All the manufacturers do what is called "Value Engineering". It's just a fancy term for removing cost from a product while maintaining the value. They get away with it so they continue to do it. We have almost eradicated shower curtains in campers and our next area may be Mattresses. The more we bring it up the more people will begin to demand a better mattress. In the meantime our viewers can use it to negotiate a lower price knowing they will need to replace the mattress. Thanks for being a long time viewer!!!!!!! Mike
These campers are really just for weekend camping adventures for folks who primarily use the campground bathrooms. But they have a place in the market! Thanks for watching! Mike
The prices are very high. The first camper is a joke of a bathroom and fridge. I like the second camper for the large fridge. And the Third camper for the bathroom, dinette, and a/c. Thank you for the video. How much weight have you lost Mike? Looking very fit. Blessings to you..
Hi Gail, Thanks for your comments! I lost around 30 lbs and we have been hitting the gym. That's one reason I could hang from the cabinets! lol! Thanks for noticing! Mike
Check out Encore RV for their new Revue models. 13 and 16 foot boxes with kitchen, bath, bed, and dinette in each (don't worry, they plan on switching the position of the stove and sink in future production). All under 3500 pounds.
@@RVBlogger that's how I found out about the switch of the Stove and Sink, thru the Owners page. The Owner, Production manager, and Warranty coordinator of Encore RV are all members of the Owners page and answer questions.

Thanks for the lovely overview of the Lounge! Just a small correction on the price: the MSRP for our 2025 Lounge model as equipped is $29,300 USD, not $47,995!
It is amazing to me that dealers are marking up your units this much so they can pretend they are giving huge discounts. You might want to consider adding the MSRP to your website to help keep the dealerships honest at least. Thanks for calling us to clarify your pricing! Mike
i simply do not understand why anyone would want a tv in a camper. the whole point is to get out into nature. a simple weather radio is all that is needed. and the prices for these is just outrageous. They cost more than a car.
It all depends how you camp. When we used to be weekend warriors we would never watch TV and we would have a fire every night. All 2 of them! lol. But now that we live in our rig 9 months a year it is more like a home. We enjoy TV and we have a propane fire pit so we don't smell like a fire. But people all have different ways of doing things and for us it is very interesting to learn about. Also we show MSRP which you should never pay. You can negotiate 35 to 40% off the MSRP or buy used and save a ton of money. Thanks for watching and comenting! Mike
Because it does rain or snow.. and there is nothing wrong with a good movie at bed time.. and kids always want their cartoons no matter where you travel too
Hi Jeeper, Thanks for being a long time subscriber!!!! We are seriously considering adding tank capacity to our videos but I have a question. Would tank capacity really drive your decision about whether or not you like a camper? Why does it matter so much to you? Thanks for any insights you can provide. Mike

This was a really great selection. The two things I found I disliked were; when there wasn't a freezer, and that the microwaves aren't convection ovens. But overall these were all pretty cool little trailers. Great video, thank you. Safe travels, my friends.
If looking to buy a tagalong, which do you recommend first looking at vehicles that could tow or looking at the campers. I currently have a car Honda Civic 2022 thinking about trading it in for a truck that could pull a small title along I’m 65 and seriously thinking about doing this in the near future and could really use some advice. Thanks in advance.
I would start with the travel trailer first. Find something small and lightweight that you would feel comfortable in. Once you know the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of the camper then you know the size of truck you might need. The GVWR is the weight of the trailer along with all your gear (food, clothing, and RV supplies). We have a rule of towing only 80% of what your truck is recommended to tow, as a safety feature. So if you have a truck that can tow 5,000 lbs, the GVWR of your travel trailer should not exceed 4,000 lbs. Feel free to reach out with any questions. susan@rvblogger.com Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
That's all good info...we have been asked by lots of people about tank size. Almost all of the windows open on most RVs and they come with screens. Why does it matter which way they open? (Just curious) Thanks for watching and for your suggestions! Mike
@@RVBloggerIt matters about the way the windows open because if they open from the bottom, they're easier to leave open in the rain (less likely to come inside). I prefer them that way.
@@reynetallents That's what I thought but I always like to clarify if I am not sure. - Our windows open at the bottom, so they are great when it rains. Thanks for commenting! Mike
Prolite had the best layout/size, but I can see they are still using inferior appliances, and the construction is all particleboard stapled and glued. $30K is crazy.

ALL trailers that use a cassette toilet in a wet bath: The toilet should be on a slide OUT. The toilet slides like a drawer, to the exterior while showering. I would think the the manufacturer can design an inside latch method. I suppose that the same design can work with a fixed toilet, the plumbing system would be a unique design.
Sounds like a possible RV modification that's user friendly. Thanks for the suggestion. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

I like the second and third ones, Skinny Guy 15Z, shower, commode, simple and they work! But… the 15Z needs a window at the kitchen and both sides of the bed.
The shower bases are made high so the trap can fit underneath. There is a solution to this problem but the RV manufacturers either aren't aware of it or don't want to spend the money...hmmm.

Why are people so obsessed with Windows in a travel trailer all they do is make it much harder to regulate the temperature inside the trailer and too many windows is too little privacy. Most people just camp in campgrounds and if you have one of these newer RVs with a thousand Windows you have no privacy. Unless you do a significant amount of boondocking and spend time sitting inside your trailer looking out when I think most people what most likely spend more time enjoying the view outside give me a cross Breeze and a good AC and id imagine less windows makes biulding a solid rv easier.
Love windows, on my fourth rv! Ever heard of dual pane? These little campers heat up quickly. Ever heard of rainy miserable days? Yeah well not so bad when u got lots of windows, the more windows the less claustrophobic u feel, dark cloudy days don't seem so miserable with lots of windows. Heard of Tinted windows? u cant see in, close the blinds at night for privacy. I can tell u would be happy living in a dark no window utility trailer 😂.🍻
I guess this is a matter of preference. Personally I like a lot of windows so I can see outside and feel like I am outside too! These is no right or wrong on this issue. Just depends what you like. Thanks for watching! Mike

Taking a dump at the head of the bed and right where you eat is 100% disgusting! Showers? We to a bath mre comfortably is a #5 foot tube that the water was heated on a wood stove. First about me. I am 65 years young. And I'm a amputee, plus a man who has a back condition, so I can't stand for long periods, before the pains attack me. Before my back injury I stood at 7 foot 3 inches tall. I use my wheelchair now instead of walking. I'm looking for a small travel trailer, with a bed in it, no folding something. I also need a toilet. Why can't the kitchens be all electric, I don't need a heater, if it gets cold I have blankets. And of course a few outlets for plugs for my coffee machine and my toaster. A microwave and A/C is a must. Also I would like one with solar panels. When my parents were alive, they traveled in a newmar mountain air. Now I wish I did not sell it. Life sucks sometimes. Plus a trailer that don't cost to much because my only income is ssdi.i know that's a hard request. I can always add things down the line like the electric stove. I also need a frig with a freezer. Watching all your videos, after a while give me a headache. But you can steer me in the right direction, then I would only have to look at one or two. Thank you for all your great videos

I like the third one. Very lite I was surprised it was under 2,000 lbs dry weight
Yup you can tow these with some cars! I was surprised to learn that a Tesla car can tow up to 3500 lbs.

Absolutely!

@@RVBlogger thanks for reply and follow up. Yep it’s confusing how most RV’s we have looked at actually have higher MSRP ahead of then list price is at least $10,000 below. In future videos. I would like to know which how the windows vent. What type of ceiling fans do they have? Refrigerator 2 way or 3 way and if any heater propane/electric or ac was available.
Hi Laura,
Thanks for the suggestions! We always want to hear what our viewers want to see in our videos.
What do you mean by how the windows vent?
Here are some general rules to go by:
There are no ceiling fans except for park models, 5th wheels and Class A RVs. ( sometimes there is a very rare exception to this)
Also, very few fridges are 3 way.
Because what I like for a mattress is not the same as what you like.
Costs more, weighs more
Good question!

True that!
Always wanted a Scamp or T@b but that Prolite really makes my list now!

I like the second 2. I wasn’t crazy about the first one. They’re cute but maybe not for me.
Hi Kim,
They are pretty small and definitely not for everyone!
i simply do not understand why anyone would want a tv in a camper. the whole point is to get out into nature. a simple weather radio is all that is needed. and the prices for these is just outrageous. They cost more than a car.
You’d be surprised by the amount of people who watch tv camping. I agree with you about being outside while camping.
People expect lot of things but are not willing to pay for it: don't be surprised to get junk...

I would like to hear about the specifications. Tank size, whether tne window open, have screens and which way the window covers open.
That's all good info...we have been asked by lots of people about tank size. Almost all of the windows open on most RVs and they come with screens. Why does it matter which way they open? (Just curious)
Thanks for watching and for your suggestions!
Mike
@@RVBloggerIt matters about the way the windows open because if they open from the bottom, they're easier to leave open in the rain (less likely to come inside). I prefer them that way.

ALL trailers that use a cassette toilet in a wet bath:
The toilet should be on a slide OUT. The toilet slides like a drawer, to the exterior while showering. I would think the the manufacturer can design an inside latch method.
I suppose that the same design can work with a fixed toilet, the plumbing system would be a unique design.
Hmmm....I'm having trouble understanding what you mean or why it would be a better design? Can you explain a bit more?

Before my back injury I stood at 7 foot 3 inches tall. I use my wheelchair now instead of walking. I'm looking for a small travel trailer, with a bed in it, no folding something.
