Yes, Dave has a "crappy" voice but its so cool and original and so fits with the music he writes that i cant imagine anyone else sing it better then him. I think Dave ads emotional vulnerability to the band brutal sound and that makes their music human instead of technical. And you can actually always hear its Megadeth track because there are no other similar voices out there. Tornado of souls is my favorite song from their masterpiece 1990 album and the guitar work, solo and riffs on the track are so iconic that i still get goosebumps all 30 years after i first heard it.

Dave Mustaine is from San Diego!! He was born in La Mesa the first city East of San Diego. He used to live in Fallbrook in just North of San Diego until he moved out to Tennessee because his daughter wants to be a country music singer. Dave Mustaine IS Megadeth he has an attitude that I don’t think you can replicate. It wouldn’t be Megadeth without him singing. He writes most of the songs and music for the band. He’s a guitar God. One of the best!!
Megadeth has so many amazing songs in their catalog you really can’t go wrong with them. Peace Sells, Holy Wars, Hangar 18, Foreclosure of a Dream, Sweating Bullets, Symphony of Destruction, My Darkest Hour, I could honestly just list every song in their discography as a recommendation for you guys.

Dave has always been the singer of Megadeth from day 1 , and Kerry King from Slayer was almost a member of Megadeth , he played a few weeks and than left to join Slayer again
Just another legendary ripper from a legendary Thrash/Speed Metal LP...not a bad song on it. Learning to play this one will break your fingers...or, make em do things that you didn't think they'd do.
He is maybe not the singer with the most vocal range but it fits perfect with the music and play so difficult songs on guitar at the same time is not easy to manage the voice. He do a great job, I like his voice too
This is the first song i personally heard from them during summer by a jubebox over Canazei Dolomites (remember trekking post amico Tra ? and Suzi) and for years i wasn't able to remember the title and to search it . I was a kid and the song was relatevely new at that time but (maybe 4-5) few years it had in any case . It has one of the most iconic guitar solos of all time written entirely by Marty Friedman that is defined a "neoclassical metal" guitarist . But that great lineup in the today video , except for the two Daves ;-) , wasn't the original for that album , Rust in Peace , that i personally suggested to you guys some days ago . A very groovy song with highly technical rythm sections guitars . The original drummer was Nick Menza , groovy drummer , Rip . P.S. The solo has a real passion behind and it's sonorities stand for a tornado of emotions ; anyway from 5'57" to 6'18" i personally can feel (probably wrong) an inspiration to the Classic Opera "Il Volo del Calabrone" ; i have never read anywhere . Search if you enjoy the suggestion guys . You certainly know the Opera but i don't want to translate I am not sure of the result ihih . Megadeth is my favorite American band (on to Japan hard rock now *cough* bandmaid *cough*) I have been a fan of Megadeth since I heard Holy Wars back in '91. The last I heard was that Mustaine has been battling medical issues for over a decade, and he's been toughing it out. But, I heard he's having more and more difficulty compounded every passing year. He's earned one of the crowns of the metal gods. In the words of Stephen King, "Time moves on."
Holy Wars is a must. One of the best metal songs ever. Rust in Peace is the greatest thrash metal album and one of the best metal albums ever. The biggest debate in metal is who is better Metallica or Megadeth. 80s would be Metallica and 90s and 00s would be Megadeth. Dave's vocals do put a lot of people off but they suit their style. The musicianship in Megadeth far out ways Metallica. We all wonder what Metallica would have been like if Dave had never been kicked out. He is clearly much better than Kurk or James on guitar and his ability to write a metal riff is second to none.

Megadeth is preparing for their latest album. Giving chance to Dave Mustaine to recover from cancer. I guess he survives, may he stay in a good health.
