It's a blessing in disguise they let him go. Now we have two great metal bands instead of one. Kirk does a damn good job on lead, but there's no denying Dave has a technical mastery over most other lead/vocals out there.
@@Huddle_House56 Let's say this, Jamnes is a better rythm guitarist because he's so tight. But Megadeth's rythm parts are as good as some bands lead parts.
I'm eternally grateful I got to see this line up in person. Back then we thought this line up would be Megadeth forever more because it was so strong. No one would ever have believed this version of the band could even have a shelf life.
@@felipegiraldo8100 maybe to you. His vocals fit his music. If you haven’t noticed he sings and plays rhythm guitar and lead guitar at times. I would love to see you play holy wars on guitar and sing in front of 10k plus fans
@@mzpepsigurlDid i say, he has bad vocals Live? he sucks on Studio version aswell. Not arguing about this. Just Made a point. For me his vocals sounds like a Nerd that stopped being bullied and try so hard to be a metal vocalist.
Out of the Big Four Megadeth is by far the most technical of the lot Rust in Peace is Heavy Metal techinal masterpiece it's also a pain in the ass to learn how to play
I saw that tour in Vancouver Canada, Halloween night . Megadeth finished their gig with ' Anarchy in the UK' During Judas Priest, there were fireworks & home made bombs going off all night in the old pacific coliseum , shit was exploding on the floor, walls, hitting the ceiling, stuff would land onstage & blow up , awesome party !
I saw them on this tour in Minnesota with Suicidal Tendencies. That was one of the most impressive shows I've ever been to. Just technical perfection and top notch thrash metal all the way around, from both bands.
This is an Incredible Request for sure ! The Album i suggested to you for a listen in the past ! Aguante Mega ❤❣ That was Nick Menza on Drums , Marty Friendman Guitar , Dave Ellefson Bass , obviously Dave Mustain vocals and Lead Guitar
He shouldn't take it personally though - Dave has had thirty-something different band members over the years! When you have to have a separate page just for the band member rotation on Wikipedia, you may have an issue!
This live performance was live at HammerSmithOdeon 1992. Certainly, opening act was PANTERA. What a gorgeous assortment is this !! This song is so emotional,so wild, and perfect!! Especially,Drumming by Nick Menza. We lost great musician. But his achievement is forever, Hanger 18 is perfect live song for me !!
Saw them on this tour together with Pantera. It was the first time europe witnessed the almighty power of Pantera. They truly stole the show, even if this was Megadeth at their peak with the best line-up they ever had.
When the "crunch" mattered...when the vocals mattered...when the guitar shredding mattered...and when the bass, and the drums punched a fkn hole through your chest as your face became separated from your skull. Never will there come another time like the 80's and 90's when Speed/Thrash Metal reached their pinnacle. There was Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Overkill (who absolutely should get a hell of a lot more respect and attention), Metal Church, Possessed, Testament, Death Angel, Sepeltura, Pantera, Kreator, Voivod, Destruction, Machinehead, Flotsam and Jetsam, Exodus, Sodom, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, etc, etc. Everybody feel free to add to the list. No way in hell I could list even 1% of what was out there. Arguably, the BEST duration of time within my almost fifty-seven years of life. Apologies for the ratchet-jawing...the "music" is the cause.
Marty Friedman at his best..... Pure thrash metal.... Hands off to Megadeth... U shud check on his own album "hands of time" One of the best I should say...
Marty is pure virtuoso. My own favourite is his solo album Dragons Kiss before Megadeth era. Also Speed Metal Symphony by Cacophony when Marty playd with Jason Becker damn it´s tight shit!
The drumming in this tune is fuckin sick menza was the engine man. Tempo changes crazy. Fuck Metallica these dudes are deadly. My fave lineup but they always had that guitar player. Poland Freedman Broderick always one. Should of added a 3rd guitarist and they would have been untouchable. I know Dave tried too get Jeff Waters from Annihilator at one time .That would have been sick. There's a dude too check out Jeff Waters. Deadly. Peace from Ottawa Canada
The guitarists take the spotlight but monstering those drums, Nick Menza, RIP.
Word! “ Nick Nick NICK!! at the end of the song Angry Again Dave shoutin at Menza is priceless Joey & Nick were two of my favs RIP…
Marty Friedman is an absolute BEAST.
Dam right he is!!!! Totally agree 🤘✌️
Best guitar player Metallica ever had.
It's a blessing in disguise they let him go. Now we have two great metal bands instead of one. Kirk does a damn good job on lead, but there's no denying Dave has a technical mastery over most other lead/vocals out there.
hey what r u talking about?
you're so true 😂
I’d argue James is a better riff player
@@Huddle_House56 Let's say this, Jamnes is a better rythm guitarist because he's so tight. But Megadeth's rythm parts are as good as some bands lead parts.
Whahahahahahahahahaha 😂

No such thing as a “weak” megadeth lineup. All are world class musicians. Lyrically in my opinion is what separates Megadeth vs other metal bands
Mustaine has lyrics, but he never had one important thing: Good vocals.

@@felipegiraldo8100 Yeah as a Megadeth fan? His vocals are not that spectacular technically but they fit for the music and style he does
Impressive bass courtesy of David Ellffson. One of my favorites alongside Steve Harris
I saw Testament, Megadeth, and the headliner Judas Priest around this time. Painkiller tour. One of the best shows EVER!🤘

This entire album is a masterpiece! The solos are absolutely insane!
HANGAR 18....RETURN TO THE HANGAR....both songs togetether back to back LIVE is awesome!!!!!!
Rust in Peace will go down as the crown jewel of thrash records. No damn doubt.
Megadeth is king of rifts. This song is 🔥
11 solo man.. 11 incredible solo in one song by two master of shredder 🤘🏻

Yeah Wright
Marty was so amazing. Loved when he was in the band. This is the greatest thrash metal album ever.❤❤
Marty nailing one of the best and unique guitar parts
The girl : beautiful hair
Nick Menza was a beast... RIP \m/
I think dave doesn't get enough credit for playing his guitar basically blinded by hair every night.
This song is amazing, but in my opinion their anthem is "holy wars and the punishment due"
The essential thrash metal albums
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Slayer - Reign in Blood
Anthrax - Among the Living
Bonded by Blood too 🤘🏼
I love Marty, what a shame he isn’t in the band anymore😢
He shouldn't take it personally though - Dave has had thirty-something different band members over the years! When you have to have a separate page just for the band member rotation on Wikipedia, you may have an issue!
Masterpiece right there!
Best thrash metal album of all time. Marty Friedman wrote some of the best solos of his career on this album, especially "Tornado of souls "
Great song and a great reaction! Greetings from Germany 🤘

Marty Friedman was a killer guitarist in this line up along side Dave still one of the best albums they did stands the test of time
Even Metallica Fans Like myself have to agree that this song is fantastic
Yep! I hate Metallica fans who hate on Megadeth, and I hate Megadeth fans who hate on Metallica. Both are top notch bands!
Metallica fans are Megadeth fans...real ones anyway.
Battle of the bands within the same band I'm pretty sure that Dave was saying "hey kids I can still shred too"
Megadeth is and will always be one of the best. You should really check out Holy Wars... The Punishment Due
Saw them on this tour together with Pantera. It was the first time europe witnessed the almighty power of Pantera. They truly stole the show, even if this was Megadeth at their peak with the best line-up they ever had.
Love their Jackson guitar years. Shred machines. Dave doin' the Cousin It thing.
Lol Dave’s guitar so much louder than Marty’s during the solos, perks of being the boss I guess
This is the book for future guitar heroes!
More megadeth, ashes in your mouth, from de same concert, great song...
Hell yeah people that's THE ONE AND ONLY NICK MENZA ON DRUMS YA'LL

Dig that fast fast hi hat cymbal that takes it away at the very end !
3:31- Cousin It showing some mad guitar skills! 🤣🤣🤣

I woulda been disappointed if you hadn’t commented about the hair.😂

And that's live, not as perfect as a studio album, imagine the skill that it takes to play that live versus a studio where things can be fixed...
Go see Metallica live and then go see megadeth live , it’s easy to see who’s better
Seen Megadeth 3 times , just as good each time
Tell my that wasn’t hot???😳🤪👍
