This album set the bar so high that no one can or has touched it. The black album by Metallica is on the same platform because just about every song on that album was a smash hit, not saying it was better than previous but it was itself a masterpiece. Megedeth is something special beyond words.

There's so much more to Megadeth than Holy Wars, or the Rust In Peace album in general. They have a large discography of good songs.

    • @Walamonga1313
      @Walamonga1313 5 лет назад +1

Thank you. People get stuck with Rust In Peace and it annoys me. Yes, it's their most popular album but to see Holy Wars for the 1000th time while many brilliant songs like Mary Jane, Addicted To Chaos, Go To Hell, Bad Omen, etc get ignored...
Hell even other songs from RIP get eclipsed when they are, in my opinion at least, much better. Take No Prisoners and Five Magics in particular.

      Megadeth songs that are great:
      Last rites/Loved to deth
      Killing is my business
      Rattlehead
      Chosen ones
      Looking down the cross
      Mechanix
      Wake up dead
      The Conjuring
      Peace Sells
      Devil's Island
      Good mourning/Black Friday
      Bad Omen
      My Last Words
      Into the lungs of hell
      Set the world afire
      Mary Jane
      502
      In my darkest hour
      Hook in mouth
      Holy Wars
      Hangar 18
      Take no prisoners
      Five Magics
      Poison was the cure
      Lucretia
      Tornado of Souls
Dawn Patrol (going into RIP... Polaris)
      Rust in Peace... Polaris
      Skin o my teeth
      Symphony of Destruction
      Architecture of Aggression
      Sweating bullets
      This was my life
      High speed dirt
      Captive honour
      Ashes in your mouth
      Train of consequences
      Addicted to chaos
      À Tout le Monde
      The killing Road
      Victory
      She-Wolf
      Vortex
      FFF
      Disconnect
      Recipe for hate...Warhorse
      Dread and the fugitive mind
      Return to Hangar
      Kick the chair
      Back in the day
      Sleepwalker
      Washington is next
      Never walk alone
      Gears of war
      Blessed are the dead
      Burnt ice
      Dialectic chaos
      This day we fight
      1,320'
      Bodies
      Endgame
      Headcrusher
      How the story ends
      Sudden death
      Public enemy No. 1
      Drugs, guns & money
      Never dead
      New world order
      Fast lane
      Deadly nightshade
      13
      The threat is real
      Dystopia
      Fatal illusion
      Death from within
      Post-American World
      Poisonous shadows
      Look who's talking
      Conquer...or die!
      Lying in state
      Foreign policy
      Breakpoint
      Angry again
      Go to hell
      99 ways to die
      Diadems
      Kill the king
There is just so many great songs by them but these one stand out I think out of their discography. I'm sure I probably miss some.

I've only begun watching these reaction videos to metal songs and have to admit I love seeing people getting into this music. I've been into it for 30 years and the way people are reacting to it is the same as when I first heard it. Metal musicians, in my mind, are amongst the most accomplished musicians you can get. Class man! Keep rockin'!

As far as Megadeth goes you can't go wrong with anything off the first 4 records. In addition to the first 4 records some of the songs off other records I really like include 1,000 Times Goodbye, Kick the Chair, Public Enemy no. 1, 15 Minutes, Washington is Next, Prince of Darkness, and Tears in a Vial

One of their BEST songs. This whole album is full of them! Also Dave Mustaine was one of the original founders of Metallica. So Dave is one of the reasons Metallica sound the way they do.

    • @BurntSquirrel

On another video you said you like the smooth and mellow type stuff. You'd love the beginning of 'Good Mourning/Black Friday'. Well, it's basically 2 songs in one, the first part (Good Mourning) is this sexy as hell, smooth guitars playing over each other, then starts picking up more when Black Friday starts. It's one of their best songs for sure.
