Thanks Fitzy… this one is a great tip.. overall making more putts amd it gives you a solid process when standing over your putts.. thanks for the continued great videos👍⛳️
Thank you Frank I appreciate your feed back and support. I am glad you liked it. The hardest part is remembering to do it when standing over the putt initially as there are so many distractions. Brian
hi Doc .. tQ for the tip.. a very critical tip for putting.. i putt much much better now, tQ. stay safe. p/s.. my weakness is hitting my 2nd shots, regardless what club n i hv applied this Quiet_Eye matter to my 2nd shots, n i am more consistent with improved consistance.. again tQ
Hey Fitzy I have just subscribed. Back playing after a 20 year break. Question, would quiet eye dot in putting be effective for tee shots as well and then finding something on the ball to focus on when in play ? Live in Cairns and hope to get down for a lesson or two sometime soon. Cheers Tony
Welcome back to golf Tony. I think quiet eye can be used anywhere. Anything to stop the conscious mind taking over. There are other things as well but quiet eye is a good start. I would love to see you at some point. Meanwhile enjoy the back catalogue. Brian
@@fitzygolfpro Thanks Brian much appreciated. I am 62 and when I stopped playing I hovered around a 6 handicap. In 14 months I have managed to get to 12 but my short game hasn't come back as I would like. Love your channel and vids, and very much look forward to coming down to work with you on my game. I tell you what the driver technology has come along way :)
Hi. Sorry but had worst putting day today using quiet eye. Kept hitting my puts short until went back to original method. May try again once I've added more weight to my ping anser putter
Sorry to hear that. Did you just go out and use it or did you try it out for a few sessions on the practice green first? I would never implement anything with some practice. Brian
@@fitzygolfpro If you have something for sale that would talk more about where your eyes go. I still am unclear if you pick a spot between you and the hold, do your eyes focus on that too- or just the spot on the ball. IF you have a book or video on this for sale, send me a link and I'd like to buy,.
Thanks for your question. I dont have a video or book to buy on the subject. I will add it to the list of videos to be filmed. In the mean time I would use a line or lines on the ball. Line that over the spot in front of the ball that you picked out. Align the putter along that line. Then use quiet eye from there. Let me know how it goes. Brian
Yesterday my indoor putting green arrived and I tried your setup. All I did was make the first 8 putts from 8 feet in a row. I'm going to go now, I'm obviously having an acid flashback because no way this just happened. It feels VERY uncomfortable, I feel like i'm going to fall forward. My eyes were 12 inches inside the ball before and I used to push just about everything. Now- straight as a line.
Thanks for the feed back. That is a great result. It does feel uncomfortable at first but so do all changes really. Keep at it. If you get bored with your putting mat you could always purchase my On Line Indoor Training Course For Putting. www.thegolfdoctor.com.au/ultimate-indoor-putting-course/ There are over 50 videos and 2 hours of content. I filmed it in my kitchen using my putting mat. Brian

Excellent tip. Can't wait to try it. Thank you.
Thanks Michael. It is such an easy thing to. The hardest thing is remembering to do it.
Keep me posted on your progress.

Great tip. I Would add another VERY effective tip: LOW & SLOW. It will keep more puts in line.
Thanks for sharing +Bronson McNulty
R w suppose to know what that means? We don't!
Nice vid. thanks for that, keep those vids coming.
Thank you Herman.
I really enjoy making them.

Great stuff. Thanks for the update. As you have discovered quiet eye works on all shots but really comes into it's own on putting.

Practiced this a couple of sessions, played yesterday and putted better than ever !
Would this be something to try off the tee ?
That is great news James. Thanks for the feed back.
You can use it anywhere.
It just takes a little practice.
Thanks for watching.

My putting was terrible today 😂. MAYBE TOMORROW.
Quiet eye might help.
👏👍

I do about the same thing ….except that I put 10 dots very close together….I call it ….a quiet line….🤓
Excellent adaptation.
Brian
Why not put a small line instead of a dot on the ball? Wouldn't that give you another alignment aid?
You certainly could.
I have made other videos on this topic in the past.
Thanks for your suggestion.
Brian.

The only Tik Tok video worth watching!
I love that. You certainly won't see me on Tik Tok.
Still laughing Paul.

The comment should have been for a different video, on the tempo for chip shots. It must have auto-played the next clip
That's ok I knew where you were coming from Paul.
