Exactly, if update comes in 23ultra, samsung will reduce battery performance and image/video quality on s23 ultra that cannot compete like today. For their future plan, i sure
With the loss on trading in the S23U, for example, in the UK, the S23U costs £1250 and trade-in after a year was £600 (pre-orders, not now), it is hard to justify that £600 for the extras of the S24U especially as AI will be coming to the S23U in Q3 and you can buy the anti-glare screen protector that does similar to the built-in one on the S24U. Performance and battery life are similar for the average user, and camera improvements are minimal and may also come to the S23U in due course. Early pre-orders got that £600 to a lower point, but that is now over. So upgrading from S23U now is probably only for those that can afford the yearly loss of c.£600 assuming their phone is in perfect condition; also, in the UK, the £600 for the S23U is now down to £520, which is shocking. Samsung's depreciation is awful.

My s21 ultra right now has several issues so I'm excited that my s24 ultra is on its way to the local Verizon store. Technical specs aside in real world use Google Pixel phones automatically took clearer, sharper and overall better photos than any other phone. I hate indoor shots on my s21 ultra no matter how I tweak the settings. The microphone has been going out for months so im forced to use speakerphone or Bluetooth for calls. Besides that issue my s21u has had other problems as well. I went with the s24u over the pixel 8pro because of the screen size, s pen and the build quality felt way better in the hand. 😊

For me personally,i think the s23 ultra is quite enough if you prefer an upgrade because i used to have a note 20 and it was a different experience, with the battery life and the camera is exceptional
The future of computing will require much less power to use and require less expensive hardware. The cost of this phone is no doubt cheaper than the s23 ultra. But they are using AI to make up for the cheaper hardware. 500hz screen is insane though
Someone coming from a lower end phone without all these bells and whitsles wont care whether their photos are ever so slighlty noisy because it will be 10 times better than their previous phone. Not a deal breaker for me.

I try my best to wait about every 2 or 3 years before I upgrade my phone to get the most bang for my buck. I traded in my Note 10 Plus for the S23-Ultra & it's the best phone I've ever had. Keep in mind my Note 10 Plus was still a beast, I just wanted to upgrade 🤔 So I won't be upgrading my S23-Ultra until the S25-Ultra comes out. I only got 256gb of storage & I'm not even at half with my storage & I got a lot of pictures, videos & music on my phone. Just to feel safe, my next upgrade will be at least 512gb or 1 terabyte of storage, considering Sammy got rid of the SD-Card slot 😠 😡 🤬 Samsung is being real petty now & after u pay Damn near $1,300 or more for their phones, they don't even come with the charging brick in the box. Yeah, I can use my old one, but that's not the point ! ! ! I like that my S23-Ultra is now using Super Fast Charging & I can go from a dead battery to 100% in less than an hour.
Help guys I won a customized S24 ultra phone case and I love It but the phone is stil expensive now can S23 Ultra fit S24 ultra CASE ? don't need to be perfect fit I'm good as long as it doesn't fall off 😂 thanks all ❤
All the AI features are coming to the S23 ultra in March so who cares, I'll upgrade from the s23 ultra to the S25 ultra, every 2 year's like usual, upgrading every year is pointless.
Genuinely don't see a single reason to get the latest phones any more. Just buy one open never used that is 3 or 4 years old, then upgrade when the support ends and you run in to issues. Otherwise why bother? You're paying 400 instead of 1000 too.
I mean most providers give you a crazy trade in deal. If you aren't getting a deal, then yeah I would do what you said but sometimes it may only cost you $400 over 36 months to get a $1300 phone. It's impossible and dumb to try to stay up to date. A new model releases every year and most providers are 24 months -36 months agreements... So it's not feasible to keep up with it.
Those brightness levels are only apply when you go outdoors! Infact the S23 Ultra is actually brighter on the manual slider setting than the S24 Ultra! it annoys me when manufacturers quote the brightness figures like that because it's misleading
Thanks Josh. I'll be waiting for the Pixel 10 Pro. TBH, I do like Samsung's Hardware, (particularly the size-taller, wider, no rounded corners), but not much more. I'm hoping Google is paying attention! (and makes NO attempt to, in Any Way, copy 🍏!) JaneLee - in Suburban Philadelphia 2/10/24
Mannnn the s23 ultra camera is way better I don't care what anyone says. In my situation taking photos with both of them I just like how the s23 ultra takes them. I might just put my sim card back into the s23 ultra
I’ve always had iPhones up to 14 pro I now have a s24 ultra! I will never look back! It’s the Bollox! The feel of it! The screen is remarkable! Scrolling is smooth as Ice! A.I is brilliant! Obviously it’s not perfect but no phone is! It’s always evolving but for the time being in my opinion it kills iPhone 15 pro! My brother is gutted he chose the iPhone but must admit Samsung want a lot of your information but that’s just life now! Good bye IPhone ❤ You need to protect it ASAP it does scratch very easily! Plus this A.I comes from Google!
One thing I found alarming about the s24 and I'm glad I didn't buy it because I have the s23 is the green line running down the screen and the white line running across and then that's the way I hear it is that it happens when you turn the screen on you tell Samsung and they say it's not our problem it's your carriers problem and then you go to Verizon and they look at you like what did you do to the phone how did you break it and don't want to replace it now I haven't personally had this happen but I couldn't imagine and then I heard that the other person had to buy a new phone and then take the old one back I can't imagine that Psalms sticking with my s23 Ultra it works perfect for me
I upgraded my S23U to S24U, and I'm happy with the upgrade. Batterylife is better. Screen is much brighter. Also phone feels a little snappier. Also the flat screen is just much nicer, I'm very glad Samsung finally got rid of the curved display. The s24U is really great phone in every aspect. That said s23U is also good, and is still very capable phone.
Samsung is manipulating us, I swear last year when the s23ultra came out it was the same quality as I'm seeing on the s24ultra when we compared it with the s22ultra so what happen now why does I think samsung is putting something in the updates that decrease the quality in the s23 ultra so when u compare it with the 24 the 24 looks better so they can sell their lastest product better belive me I'm right with that
The S23 ultra recently got the pro visual engine and galaxy AI update. This video is old and I expect new content with side by side comparison between the s23 ultra and s24. Tough to consider upgrading unless your phone is broken in my opinion.
Just bought the 24 and had the 23 for years, the 23 has all the same AI and is the same size, I just want the better processor, 1tb hard drive and flat screen.
Changes are incremental after the AI update for S23 ultra . If someone has a s23 ultra there is absolutely no reason to update unless one wants to burn cash 😅
The "AI features" are only software. There's no reason the S23 Ultra or any of their other phones couldn't be given an update to have the same features.
I just broke open my new S24 Ultra after returning an S23 Ultra and I am underwhelmed. The S24 Ultra seems to overprocess and the zoom performance isnt that great despite what Samsung will try to tell everyone. AI is really gimmicky at this stage too.
Get the see ultra. You still have several years of software support and security patches, and you'll get the AI features in an upcoming software update. Plus you get to have the curved screen and for under $1200

S23 Ultra shots at daytime looked better to me, but at nighttime S24 Ultra easily wins also should have mentioned that Samsung announced Galaxy AI features will be coming to the S23 lineup as well with the 6.1 update
I love the flat screen on my 24ultra , I know it’s a simple change but here’s why , cases don’t mess up the screen protectors, there’s no side accidental touches , I dropped my 23 ultra when I was on the toilet sitting down and it shattered the screen and it had an expensive case and screen protection, my s24 I dropped from chest high or 4.5 feet AND IT SURVIVED!!
The S23 Ultra will get afew of the features in the Ui 6.1 upgrade like the S24 has. Not even worth considering an upgrade unless you have the S22 Ultra and lower. I'll wait for the S25 when they change the look.
That's facts. I had the 22. The 24 was out of stock when i went to upgrade. they had the 23 ultra 256gb. Saved a few hundred bucks and left with the 23 ultra. Satisfied

Who the hell opens 39 tabs in chrome???
My mother lol
Einstein
Me 😂😂
I have so many open it just shows a smile face now instead of a tab number. Think that happens when you exceed 100
I have 99
S23 screen is way better
So will these AI features be coming to the S23 ultra
A lot of them will, yes!
S23 don't have AI right?
I try my best to wait about every 2 or 3 years before I upgrade my phone to get the most bang for my buck.
I traded in my Note 10 Plus for the S23-Ultra & it's the best phone I've ever had.
Keep in mind my Note 10 Plus was still a beast, I just wanted to upgrade 🤔
So I won't be upgrading my S23-Ultra until the S25-Ultra comes out.
I only got 256gb of storage & I'm not even at half with my storage & I got a lot of pictures, videos & music on my phone.
Just to feel safe, my next upgrade will be at least 512gb or 1 terabyte of storage, considering Sammy got rid of the SD-Card slot 😠 😡 🤬
Samsung is being real petty now & after u pay Damn near $1,300 or more for their phones, they don't even come with the charging brick in the box.
Yeah, I can use my old one, but that's not the point ! ! !
I like that my S23-Ultra is now using Super Fast Charging & I can go from a dead battery to 100% in less than an hour.
Only bright in sun wen u have extra brightness
Help guys I won a customized S24 ultra phone case and I love It but the phone is stil expensive now can S23 Ultra fit S24 ultra CASE ? don't need to be perfect fit I'm good as long as it doesn't fall off 😂 thanks all ❤
Had both ,sold my s23 ultra,s24 ultra is a much better device
Tech videos are not cinema, 60 fps videos is better
I feel like 90% of the advantages he mentioned are because of AI which the S23 will get anyway.
The s23u is going get those same AI features.... so no real reason to upgrade.
S23U is futureproof for at least 5 years....no need to upgrade
God you are so sales!
Nobody cares about the weight. The weight is fine.
Ehhh...the S23 ultra stil better.
I feel like the 24 is WAY better than the 23. Its the first time that I find samsung as smooth or close to as an iphone. Its really really good
The plane on s23 ultra barley u can 😂 see it
society is fucken doomed
So it's not feasible to keep up with it.
great video
When I first got the S23, I promised myself I won't update for least 4 years.
By that time, the AI feature should be well polished.
S23-U is also getting AI. I also have s23U. Great phone.
I heard some of the AI features are coming to the S23 series which is great!
Hopefully, because I have the s23 ultra myself and would love to have this feature.
Yh it just sucks its gonna take til June for it to come.
I just read it will come to the S23's in March.@you-5-iver804
to make us humans more stupid
I willnot update another 1 year, because samsung will reduce image/video quality, battery performance , 100% sure, just ignore updates
It's not worth upgrading to s24 ultra.. s23 ultra is already a beast..
TBH, I do like Samsung's Hardware,
(particularly the size-taller, wider, no rounded corners), but not much more.
I'm hoping Google is paying attention!
(and makes NO attempt to, in Any Way, copy 🍏!)

Can i use a screen protector from the s24 ultra to a s23 ultra??
yes, just bend the side edges of the S24U screen protector to get the curve you desire
Titanium (bad Apple lead) looks "Great" under the excellent Smart Cover ;)
I loved how the S24 Ultra could not hold it's peak brightness when the S23 Ultra was shouting "hodl"…
Like if you think this AI is shit
Mannnn the s23 ultra camera is way better I don't care what anyone says. In my situation taking photos with both of them I just like how the s23 ultra takes them. I might just put my sim card back into the s23 ultra
SAMSUNG ❤
These reviewers are utterly useless and bought out now lol. Like what's the point of this video?
I would like to know if the screen of the S24 ultra is reduced because it has added frames. Compared to the s23 ultra which does not have a frame.
The changes are not worth buying 24 ultra
Upgrading from an older phone should I go for s23u or s24u? I personally like the curved screen but is it worth it
Get the see ultra. You still have several years of software support and security patches, and you'll get the AI features in an upcoming software update. Plus you get to have the curved screen and for under $1200
@@nicow6728 im worried about the snapdragon 8 gen 2, seems like gen3 is better than it in all performance metrics and efficiency. Is it still worth it?
@@yashshaw9199 Unless you run emulation and virtual machines on your phone 24/7 to warrant using such performance with even the SD8gen2, you won't notice. Most peole wouldn't notice a difference between 778g and 8gen3.
The lagging on camera pictures is only thing I hate about 23u . I did download the app to fix but it still lags sometimes
i’m an apple user, i have an iphone 13 mini 😊 and it works perfectly fine! i dont need to zoom in that much and the function of the phone is amazing! but samsung does look good, although i still prefer apple
I have the 14 PM. Finally getting out and switching to android.
Congratulations!! You're the 9,851st person to review this phone with nothing new to offer👍🏿
S23 Ultra shots at daytime looked better to me, but at nighttime S24 Ultra easily wins
also should have mentioned that Samsung announced Galaxy AI features will be coming to the S23 lineup as well with the 6.1 update
We totally missed that in the original Galaxy announcement. Thanks for pointing that out.
Satisfied
Upgrade only every 3-4 years. Literally the only smart choice
