you got me at #23, i love the terrey town quest, not because its really grindy, but I like being a part of a town on the map, and actually helping build a part of the game.
What I really love about BotW is there's so many things to do! It's a huge map where you can explore anywhere!! And though I've been playing for almost 2 weeks and I may only have 1\4 done, I still LOVE this game!
LoZ BOTW is one of the best open world games I’ve ever played. I should have bought a Switch earlier. I just played the game for the first time this earlier month (Feb 2023). It’s so addictive I had to force myself to stop playing and focus on the other games I’m about to finish. Im not a fan of sandbox styles but this is something else. I really don’t mind the weapon durability. Normally I would be using 1 handed swords only. I hope we can duel wield in TOTK.
I love in the DLC feature that shows the journey you take and shows you every time you die with a red X to mark the spot accompanied by Link's final scream of dismay. Never fails to make me laugh. xD
I keep hearing how the weapon durability forces you to use weapons you normally wouldn’t, but for me it severely limited my choosing. I didn’t dare use most of my weapons “just in case I needed them later,” and then I was convinced it wasn’t later yet, so I spent way to much time breaking boko club after boko club just to “preserve” the sword I then didn’t dare “waste” even on a divine beast.
I think that's part of the charm in it, really- it shows off the different playstyles from person to person. I, for one, didn't have an issue with it... because I avoided combat entirely, all the way up until I had the best weapons in the game with the best durability because I was a scaredy cat.
@@quanticflowers But where’s the charm in… avoiding playing the game? I did the same, avoiding fighting lynels or other enemies who might “waste” my weapons. It wasn’t until after I defeated the main quest and then was going for completionist that I fought a single lynel at all. Everyone’s play style and level of enjoyment is different of course, but for me that did diminish things somewhat. I still ADORE botw and will be binging tok as soon as I get my hands on it, but the breakables just weren’t for me
@@silversleeper1193 and I quite liked it. It added a sense of danger, and at least to me some fun in seeing what weapon i'd find next. i can understand the hoarding mentality some people developed but i found there was usually a better weapon right around the corner anyway

honestly i love how botw decided to break the classic big dungeons into many small challenges and four medium-sized dungeons. in other zelda games, i would get so frustrated and tired spending so much time solving just ONE dungeon
#25 I actually found a glitch in the blue flame shrine at the beginning the magnesis spike thing if it crushes link while you're moving and you drop it directly underneath him, for a moment the camera stops zooming in on link
My two favorite games are BOTW and Skyrim, and I love both of them for reasons that are similar but at different angles.
