I was at a loss as to how to find the Korok mask in the lost forest before it dawned on me that it is in a chest and the Sheikah sensor+ can detect treasure chests no matter what type they are. 3: The Korok leaf is the greatest durability saving weapon on weak enemies. The gust of wind knocks down Keeses and and knocks apart Skal enemies without having to hit them, leading to easy follow up attacks for 1 damage to finish them off. The gust can also be aimed (and thus the leaf cannot be thrown at enemies) and around tall cliffs or deep water is a great way to defeat early game enemies on master mode when the weapons are still too weak to whittle at the larger regenerating health bars. It makes getting the maracas a literal breeze. Bombs work much the same but is harder to coax a whole group in one direction with them and neither one will help against Moblins.

I honestly never knew about the beetle tree in satori mountain in my 900 hours playing this, but brings up a great idea, have you considered a video listing every farmable item in satori mountain?... I know there are hearty radishes, durian, rushrooms, swift violets, apples, and more, but theres so many and are often difficult to relocate, an in depth satori mountain area guide would be amazing, and I know there's plenty of other hidden farming areas like the durians next to faron tower, and a lake on the mountain southwards that has a large number of fish of various types, these exceptional farming areas are all over the world, often quite hidden, and in my opinion, would make an excellent compilation... If people don't wanna shell out a giant ancient core for the ancient shield, the radiant shield is a great alternative. It's had the least friction among all of the shields and it's more common to find.
Just have to add for Satori Mountain, take a blizzard rod! Use is on all the trees covered in fruit! The fruit just falls to the ground. Saves a lot of time and effort. Only thing is it will break. I don't know how many swings you get before it breaks though. I've farmed up to 100 apples and many Dorians in minutes!!!
I'll admit, your shield video was probably one of the most helpful things I've ever seen when it comes to this game. It was just chock full of info I did not know, and I am a bonafide pro at this game! Seriously, I can't thank you enough for making that video.
Some people are adding in their own tips, so here is mine. For the shooting targets Korok challenges, you can stasis the airborn pots to have a nice steady target to shoot. It won't break once the stasis ends, but since it has a new trajectory, it won't be "caught" where it normally lands, and when it hits the ground it will break and count.
Those can be some of the best and most entertaining games to play for just that reason. There's so much to discover that repeated playthroughs can actually feel new. After ARK and BotW, I'm hooked.

Another great tip is that if your master sword is low on durability, you can instantly bring it back to full health by entering the trial of the sword, and using your shieka slate to teleport out, when you materialize, your master sword will be once again at 100% durability
I often find myself lynel farming, with my 60 master sword instead of mounting it, simply headshot the lynel, while it is stunned, you have time for 8 hits, before you slightly back up, draw your bow, and headshot him again just after he finishes shaking his head to avoid not stunning him... Once he is stunned, you can chain these attacks and I've found a 60 damage master sword has enough durability to kill 3 golden Lynels before needing to be recharged....
Your guides are amazing! We can't thank you enough for all the time you've put in to test and compile your results! Please give us a part 2!! One tip I can't find in any guide anywhere is on specific timings for dodging/parrying normal enemy attacks (there are guides for guardians and lyonels, but I'm referring to the normal foes). Most guides just say to dodge as they attack, but that's obvious and vague. I'm around 15-20 hours in and just can't seem to get the timing consistent. I know it takes practice, but tips on how to better read their animations or what to watch for would be very helpful! :)
9:20 if you get a photo of an energetic rhino beetle and use your sheika sensor, they become so easy to farm, go to akkala, wait till night time, spin around and follow the sensor, can easily get up to 6 beetles a night
Never sheath your weapons in front on Lynels especially the Silver Lynel on the Great Plataue. This one has a Bomb Arrows that'll easily hit you if they're being sniped upwards, so never pull weapons out since they'll see this as threat. They're nice enough to let you leave.
I never knew about the beetle tree! Also if you go to Lurelin village and wonder near it at night you will find all 3 types of beetles on the sides of palm trees. This is all along the coast near Lurelin and to the west. I recommend using a sneaky potion or wearing the Sheikah outfit to not scare them, but you can get plenty of them that way.
If you ran out of Stamina while climbing and fall, you can use your paraglider one last time to save yourself. You don't need dragon horns for 30 minutes elexir, you can use monster extract unstead but get ready for some randomness. Make sure to save before using them. Full shiekah armor allow you to sneak upon enemies while at full walking speed. You don't need to sneak. You can fish using bombs, and you can even whistle to make the fish go crazy and get stuck on the shore, very sastisfying. And heres a super useful tip: you can use statis to highlight collectible ingredients (mushrooms, fruits.... ) makes searching a lot easier.
I really love this channel because it gives tips I actually need and can make me understand it too. It also almost always have tips I haven't heard somewhere else.

I can't believe alot of us are still finding out about things in this game that we didn't know before, in my opinion, that's a rly good charm of the game and its rly great that the botw community is still very active to this day because of it! I rly love these tips and it'll definitely become useful for future gameplay!!!
I got like 5 of them in a row once. Was killing Lynels to get my xp up and that was the only type of how they would drop. Meanwhile on my other 4 playthroughs I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 of them. :/
@Marrow ༄ I have 7 5-shot Lynel bows and 4 ancient bows in my inventory. I have two Lynel and one ancient on the wall of my house, they're all mostly duplicated.
These tips are all extremely helpful. My favorite being the master sword beams on full hearts and charge! I would definitely enjoy another video, but I would totally understand if there aren’t enough new tips to showcase. Thanks so much for your work!!!
I've been playing BOTW more than any other of my 70ish games, and I've watched so many videos about the game that I thought I knew all the little tricks and exploits, and most videos are just mentioning the same old things, so to have compiled a list of the same old tricks that aren't found in almost every other video showcasing so many very uncommonly known tips, must've been a little challenging, so I gotta give you credit, cuz although I knew some of these, I was VERY surprised to learn a few things I can't already been aware of, so thank you for the video! It's very refreshing to know that there are still some BOTW tips still being discovered. I'm sure you've been aware of these for some time, but it'll be interesting to look back in about 10 years - or even just 10 years from the game's original release - to see just how many discoveries have been made from this point onward. Your content is among the best that RUclips has to offer. It's abundantly clear that you invest A LOT of time & research into every video, & you deserve recognition for all your hard work. You've taught me most of what I know about BOTW gameplay, so I can't thank you enough for making an already-amazing-game even more enjoyable!
So I'm replaying the game for the first time. I played through the first time without looking into anything. After I beat it I let it go because I was somewhat underwhelmed. This second time around I'm taking time to find out more about it and I'm so glad I found this channel lol
Fun tip: If you're fighting a lynel and get on it's back, when it throws you off you can go into bullet time and get a crit arrow shot on it so you can mount it again.
Started a new job with a LOT of downtime so I finally bought a Switch. Only got one game for it and it's BotW. Four years later and I'm only now playing it. Feels a bit overwhelming, even when I've been a "hardcore" gamer for years now, just knowing that there's SO much to the game but not knowing any of it. Feels like I need to do research and study just to get more than the base amount of enjoyment outta the game. Thanks for this video. Hope you do a pt2
Another distinguishing feature of weapons with modifiers is that while on the ground, there is a sound cue to go along with the larger sparkle (it sounds like a faint twinkle.) This can also help you identify weapons with modifiers among monster loot on the ground.
A few addendums: - Master Sword beams have a range directly tied to how many hearts Link has at full health, so when you first unlock the sword, you might not be able to reach everything you want. Temporary health _is_ counted by the game for this stat, however, so you can extend your reach with hearty foods. - If you're a purist who doesn't like to use what might be seen as "glitches," or "exploits," you can also start a grass fire with the level 3 charge attack of the Flamespear _without_ needing to inventory swap. - If you want to use the Freeze > Stasis > Shock trick but there are only strong enemies around, you can compensate by using the time slowing mechanic. Climb up to a high vantage point, freeze the enemy, stasis, then jump off and pull out your bow to slow time, which will let you get off multiple volleys of shock arrows where normally you might only have time for one, possibly even none.
Finally got around to picking up this game a month ago and Ive been hooked ever since. BOTW is my very first real video game ever played. Im 37 y/o and I love this game. Back in the the 90's and 2000's we had video games but my two older brothers were complete assholes and would never let me play. I was always a spectator, until now. Everything I wanted and expected out of an adventure game. I do suck at controls and the harder bosses will probably stay unbeaten for the next 1000 hours of play. I say all this to thank you for your videos, cheats, hacks, etc - awesome content.

The radiant shield is the best for shield surfing but the ancient shield can also deflect gaurdian beams without parrying. Using durability transfer and the Hylian shield, you can make it's durability skyrocket.
Hell yeah we want a Part 2! The more info the better! Just when I thought I knew every single thing there was to know about this game, you're constantly finding more! So keep it up man, share the love!
Another overpowered tip, bow spin with a Great Frostblade and it won't run out of charge, so with the x8 damage boost from ice and the barbarian gear you can decimate even golden Moblins in seconds.

This was honestly really neat, and actually I’d like to see a video on all the hidden buffs that certain armor pieces have, cause I sure didn’t know about the Ancient Proficiency buff for Midna’s helmet
My brother and I have replayed this game as if we came from the fishing village and are on a quest to obtain the barbarian set, which is part of an ancient tradition to be proven as a man. Basically, set out to find the 3 rumored Zonai mazes, then receive the 3 dragon blessings. The restrictions we placed were no ice or stasis using outside of shrines...only 4 shrines a zone not related to a quest...can't do va lizard in death mountain because no Zonai maze there...as well as trying to play like a person who feels more safe near water.

The apple “orchard” near satori mountain has over 150 apples if you harvest them all
I'll admit, your shield video was probably one of the most helpful things I've ever seen when it comes to this game. It was just chock full of info I did not know, and I am a bonafide pro at this game! Seriously, I can't thank you enough for making that video.
That's the video that started it all for me haha, so I'm really glad you found it helpful!! Thank you 😄
It's really refreshing to see modern and more unknown tips, I'd love a part 2!
Why does this game have so many hidden/unexplained mechanics?
I guess just so that Croton can give us super interesting vids like this
Those can be some of the best and most entertaining games to play for just that reason. There's so much to discover that repeated playthroughs can actually feel new. After ARK and BotW, I'm hooked.
its maddening! all this stuff hidden away and the tips screen is like "I know you played 200h of this game but like... ever heard of ELIXIRS????!
@@mariocastello8746 ya i purposefully die to laugh at the ragdoll and then the game says"dont be under prepared when fiting monsters and im like i hav 456,000,000'0 hearts worth of food ill be fine
3 years and I still watch these tip videos man I love this game
Another great tip is that if your master sword is low on durability, you can instantly bring it back to full health by entering the trial of the sword, and using your shieka slate to teleport out, when you materialize, your master sword will be once again at 100% durability
Wait whaa - :o
I'm gonna have to test this one out, thanks for letting me know!!
Cheesing shrines with 4 campfires was one of my favorite parts of this game.
Wait, how'd you pull that off? I'm pretty sure using campfires to create updrafts is disabled in shrines.
@@SSM24_, Campfires have insane weight.
Half of these are new to me so I’m interested in a part 2
The first tip and I’m already learning something new! Thanks for making this!
Aw no problem!! Happy to help :)
These are some new tips I have literally never seen before. You are truly a sage.
Aw, I'm very glad I could help! Thank you 😄
he FINALLY shows how he does the quick spinninng in all of his background footage
I discovered it by accident like 1 year ago
I kinda figured cuz ive played and beat ww mm Oot and they all hav quick spin but i never did it in botw
Man, stealth strike chaining takes me back to the days of backstab chains in Darkroot Garden. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing though.
He's white, not silver
I never knew about the beetle tree! Also if you go to Lurelin village and wonder near it at night you will find all 3 types of beetles on the sides of palm trees. This is all along the coast near Lurelin and to the west. I recommend using a sneaky potion or wearing the Sheikah outfit to not scare them, but you can get plenty of them that way.
‘Link, why did you decide to start that grass fire!?! It wiped out heaps of endangered wildlife!”
‘I didn’t feel like climbing :(‘
Lol
“It was raining, Zelda! Climbing would’ve taken at least 20 minutes :(“
Im so glad to see your channel grow! I absolutely love your content and can't wait to see more!
Aw I'm glad!! Thank you!! 😄
I really love this channel because it gives tips I actually need and can make me understand it too. It also almost always have tips I haven't heard somewhere else.
I'm so glad I can help you out then! Thank you :)
That’s one of the reasons I love this game so much. There’s always more details to find.
I actually never knew about the beetles on Satori Mountain. That’s so useful!
I basically never leave comments but I was so prepared for over half of this to be super basic things to where your title is clickbaity and I gotta say I'm genuinely astounded. I didn't know 99% of these! Thank you for living up to your video title name because this will be super useful!
That sneak strike combo really gonna be useful when I do the trial of the sword on master mode
Especially on floor 10 haha - it's the only effective strat I've found for the 2 silver lizalfos there
Croton’s video’s are not only insanely informative but also very entertaining. Whether it’s a stats video or a fun stream he manages to hold my attention and on the edge of my seat!
Thanks Croton!
“Unlimited beams.” That is a feature I found as well that I love! Now I don’t need to worry about breaking a weapon or losing ore in water or from rolling away due to bombs!
I can't believe alot of us are still finding out about things in this game that we didn't know before, in my opinion, that's a rly good charm of the game and its rly great that the botw community is still very active to this day because of it! I rly love these tips and it'll definitely become useful for future gameplay!!!
"The super-powerful, and rare, 5-shot bow from Lynels"
Me, with 7 of them: Haha, yeah
*Duplication glitch intensifies*
I got like 5 of them in a row once. Was killing Lynels to get my xp up and that was the only type of how they would drop. Meanwhile on my other 4 playthroughs I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 of them. :/
Nothing is rare if you commit to farming it. 🤔
But on a normal play through they don't drop as often as the 3 shot. Thats all he meant
@Marrow ༄ I have 7 5-shot Lynel bows and 4 ancient bows in my inventory. I have two Lynel and one ancient on the wall of my house, they're all mostly duplicated.
I have 2 of those but I don't want to use them xd
Seriously, This is the BEST breath of the wild channel on youtube.
I appreciate that, thank you 😄😄
(Sorry for the late reply!l
These tips are all extremely helpful. My favorite being the master sword beams on full hearts and charge! I would definitely enjoy another video, but I would totally understand if there aren’t enough new tips to showcase. Thanks so much for your work!!!
There definitely are quite a few things I have left to cover! Thank you so much though, I'm glad this helped :)
I feel like tip number one turns this game into age of calamity with all the combos you can pull off.
When you shoot it in the back of his head while in bullet time, it won't stun him.
If you headshot a Lynel right after it throws you off, it won’t get stunned. The devs made sure it wasn’t that easy to stunlock them.
A few addendums:
- Master Sword beams have a range directly tied to how many hearts Link has at full health, so when you first unlock the sword, you might not be able to reach everything you want.
The first tip been a thing since ocarina of time, no doubt it’s not gonna be absent in the botw sequel
Finally got around to picking up this game a month ago and Ive been hooked ever since. Ive killed three divine beasts, got a house, built tarrey town, and have discovered and defeated 70 shrines, but I am taking my sweet time before I go for the last divine beast 🤣🤣. This game is such a blast to just explore around and grind for loot, and these tips will definitely help my out along the rest of my journey through this game, so thank you.
I've just started playing the Master mode and i have to admit it's pretty difficult, this video can be very useful!
I would love if you made a part 2 of this video!
I have been playing this game since it came out and almost all the tips were new thanks
Surprised I didn’t know some of these I’ve played botw for 700 hours
you never even played then because ive played for less than 30 hours and knew 90% of this
Thanks man. Your tip is very refreshing. I have to restart the game just to experience them all at low levels hahaha. Anyway, keep up the good work. You have our support.
I'm so happy you enjoy this, thank you! 😄 (and sorry for the late reply!)
Congratulations! 🍾🎉🎊🎈 You found me. I am the 901st korok seed. You most likely will not find me ever again, Good luck finding me though.
Hi

Awesome
Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I just started. Im so blown away. Im more into pc and got a switch. And im in love with this game. Deff a special one for the books in my opinion. 🙏
omg this was extremely helpful. there were so many hings i didnt know. liked and subbed. thanks a lot and am def watching more than once
Ay I'm so glad it helped! Thank you 😄
I've played through this game fully several times; I just learned several new things from your video. Thank you!!

I'm pretty sure there's also a diamond hidden under a rock around Satori mountain, though I'm not sure if it respawns after blood moons.
I really like that you still make videos for Botw and not only AoC like other creators. Keep up the great videos!! :) looking for a part 2 and maybe 3,didmt except to learn new things because I saw a LOT of vids about this topic
On an unrelated note I didn’t find Kilton until after finishing the game
Same!
I found him will I was trying to go to the tech lab in akkala and I thought he was a enemy. I shot three bomb arrows
I counted 25 tips and 9 of them were new to me. That is WAY better than any other BotW tips and tricks video. Great job!
I remember the first time I used a Spin Attack with a Blizzard Rod on a Bokoblin camp. I couldn't get enough of it.
But it broke :(
@@cin2110, how would you know?
Awesome video the boomerang one in the end was so smart!
I love how in 500+ hours of playing this game there are still areas that I have never seen and combat mechanics that I've never noticed. Botw might just be the best exploration game ever
Still is, easily better than anything else.
@@zemocon2868 I mean, elden ring definitely has a fair shot at it.
I’m new to Breath of the wild and Zelda in general as this is my first play through and this single video has opened me up to what is possible more than any other I have watched and I have watched many! Thank you for the great videos and keep them coming!!
Dang croton is really amazing. He doesn’t have as many subs as he deserves
Another overpowered tip, bow spin with a Great Frostblade and it won't run out of charge, so with the x8 damage boost from ice and the barbarian gear you can decimate even golden Moblins in seconds.
The true masterpiece of a game.
things like the tree attracting the beetles is so cool and shows just how much care was put into this game, you could play it for 1000 hours and still miss loads of details!
9:23 looks like I know what I’m getting beetle for his birthday
Hahaha lol
Thanks for the Ancient Shield tip! As always, you've been very informative!
Nice! I actually HAVEN'T been on Satori Mountain yet, LOL. Good to know.
Satori mountain is a game changer as far as farming materials and you have few enemies to deal with.
There's also a diamond under a specific rock that respawns each bloodmoon. Satori mountain is awesome.
Tysm for not recycling, my mouth dropped as soon as the first one, I didn’t know that was a thing!!
Off to watch the rest of the vid now :)
No problem just happy to help!! :)
I already new all these because I watch Croton videos
I've been playing this game off and on since it came out and I am still AMAZED at the new things there are to learn and try. I didn't know MOST of the tips in this video! Thanks!
Wow, even after almost 4 years- I didn’t know some of these!
I've seen professional players who didn't know half of this and would have made challenge runs soo much easier lol, great stuff!!
Wow these were actually all really cool. Holy cow
Wow, there was a bunch of stuff in this video that even I didn't know! Like the way the Royal armor set works and about the bug farming on that big tree. Fantastic video man as always! You just keep providing info for this game not found anywhere else! I'm beginning to think you have a connection within Nintendo itself lol.
Fun Fact: Quick-spins are a staple amongst 3D Zelda games, which is why instant charge attacks are unique to the 1-handed weapon.
That last one is something I was wondering for a while now. Finally a way to farm those beetles!
Notification squad!
Ive done multiple botw playthroughs and came into this with a high ego expecting to be a pro and know every single tip. I think there were 2 or 3 that i actually did know. Amazing video!
It would be great if you did one of these videos for Age of Calamity, I’m going through Age of Calamity right now and some tips would be great.
This was honestly really neat, and actually I’d like to see a video on all the hidden buffs that certain armor pieces have, cause I sure didn’t know about the Ancient Proficiency buff for Midna’s helmet
When freezing enemies near water, most of them can’t swim and die so you can push them right in and they die instantly, don’t try this on lizolfios
Thanks.
@Carter Gieni, you can get some if it’s not the deepest pool
My brother and I have replayed this game as if we came from the fishing village and are on a quest to obtain the barbarian set, which is part of an ancient tradition to be proven as a man.
Basically, set out to find the 3 rumored Zonai mazes, then receive the 3 dragon blessings. The restrictions we placed were no ice or stasis using outside of shrines...only 4 shrines a zone not related to a quest...can't do va lizard in death mountain because no Zonai maze there...as well as trying to play like a person who feels more safe near water.
