this has been hot-fixed for a while now and you can't farm arrows this way anymore. after about 7 or 8, you won't be able to gather enemy arrows in your shield or on the ground like before. the best way to farm arrows now is, every blood moon, go up the path that leads to zora's domain (the way sidon first meets you). you just spend 15 minutes and you can get 150-200 arrows from the lizalfos there. most of them drop 5 each.

"Items you must have in Botw" Two words. *HEARTY.DURIANS!!!* They are so underrated. Cook 5 hearty durians and you get full recovery and LOTS of extra hearts
all hearty ingredients are preferable over normal health cooking. Once you have a good supply of blue snails, blue lizards, durians, radishes, etc. then the simplest 1+1 cooking will give you full recovery guaranteed. Why ever use meat dishes, simmer fruits, hylian herbs again?
If you cook 5 gourmet meats, a merchant will buy it for 490 rupees! I use the durians and other more rare items for health and meat specifically for selling. If I’m short on cash, a 10 minute hunting sesh in the North Hebra region can yield hundreds of meats, and in turn yielding thousands of rupees.
Ryuzeii hearty durians, hearty bass, truffles, hearty radish and big hearty radish are all items that maximize your health+ give you extra hearts! It's very helpful, even cooking one of those bad boys is enough to last me a whole battle.
To get more fairies, go to a fairy fountain and hold all of your fairies in your hand and more fairies will appear around the fountain. Edit: Thanks for all the support!
Me, the time I managed to get ahold of 243 arrows: "I'll be set for a while, nice!" Me, the next day: "I cannot believe I have to go find arrows again"
@@loverboy92555 you will only use 1 arrow to shoot and you will be able to collect the amount of arrows you shot. Let's say you have a 5 shot bow. You loose one arrow and get 5 back.
I actually got the white stallion without even knowing it was special, and now I just have this super good, royal horse, and it has a random name like Jerry. :/
I mean, I ended up naming mine Yuki, because by time I realized the ancestor to Zelda's horse was in the game I'd already caught a horse and named it Zelda ;u;
Where did you get that name? I've yet to see a name referenced for the white horse in BotW OR the white horse in OoT. ...and "Storm" doesn't sound very royal.
I love the variation. Most of these items would be in my top ten. Heres a pro tip for shield surfing: The Ancient Shield from the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab hovers over the ground so it never breaks from shield surfing.
I just like running around, climbing dangerous cliffs pretending I own a mining business. I mostly stay positive and stay ahead of the game with a ruby or sapphire a day keeping food on the table. Some days are rough, ya cant feed the family with flint but the rock salt is a nice treat. I know I'm just messing around but it's fun, I wish I could get even 3 4 friends to play together, but what a cool game.
Definitely think the Stealth set should have been included. Beyond the combat implications, being able to walk up to fairies and critters and horses outright is such a useful function.
Ryusei Tatsumasa I seen tons of people complain about the stealth missions like the korok trail where you follow the little guy. I put the stealth set and didn't have any trouble. Also it looks so dope
Ryusei Tatsumasa People complained about grabbing Fireproof Lizards for the Fireproof Armor. The Stealth Suit made it easy since you could walk to the lizards and pick em up with easy. It also gives you an edge in the sneaking Mission for the Thunder Helm
For unlimited arrow farming: go to Eventide island after finishing it. There's a small pond surrounded by a rock island just past the shrine. Keep using the travel medallion to go back to the same spot each time you open the chest. The chest respawns. 10x ea
i know this is a late reply, but that strategy takes way to long and is (maybe) only for lategame players. There are many places such as link's house where you can essentially dupe arrows. There are videos for that
I just buy arrows from all the villages and beetle. Just do the inf ore glitch with the royal guard weapons. In about 40 minutes I got 200 something thousand rupees worth of ores
@@solanaceous If you prioritize stamina, you should be able to get to Eventide island fairly early in the game, and the shrine quest there is not too difficult. You also don't need a travel medallion. Just collect the arrow, save the game, load the saved game, and the chest is back in the lagoon. Pull it out again, collect the 10 arrows, save, load, and repeat.
@@flipflop356 if you go around to every village you can get around 200, but with going to every stable (which always has beedle around), you can get 500+.
One thing (Two actually, but for the same purpose) I would add to the list is to always have one flame weapon and one ice weapon. Equipping these will raise/lower your body temperature, allowing you more freedom as to what armor you can wear when you're out in the desert or any chillly elevation or area.
the Ice Wand is a must item for it is a great replacement for stasis rune whenever facing a bunch of moblins. Combo it with a hammer and you can inflict massive damage with low cost. Doesn't affect the tougher enemies but it is handy to have for journeying through the land.
If you have a fire weapon and heat resistance clothing, you can go through the gerudo desert when it gets cold at night and in morning, when it is hot, that is how I did the divine beast.
A good use for fire weapons is to ligth bonfires for dragon horn farming... which are by far the best way to get tons of rupees in the game... just go to the place a dragon wakes, shoot an arrow to its horn, than use a fire weapon to ligth the bonfire, sit and "wait untill morning" (depending on the dragon you choose, can be nigth) than repeat untill you have a lot of horn pieces. Is very easy and usefull, can be done with flint + wood but way more profitable using fireblades.
A little late to the party, but the best way to fight off guardians imo is to just use your shield. Doesn’t matter what kind of shield, a wooden one works. Have your shield up while it’s charging up its shot, then when you see the aura of energy around it (you have to be quick, it lasts like less than a second) press A to parry the blast. It’ll deflect the guardian’s shot back at it and it does a lot of damage to them. It takes out broken guardians in one shot. Way better than using arrows
For the arrows: Whatever you do, DON'T kill the archers. Hold a wood shield in front of them. THEN kill the archers. The arrows will be stuck in your shield, and you can collect them. Add that to the fact that archers never run out of arrows, and... Wait for it... BOOM! Infinite Arrows! (Doesn't work with metal or bone shields! Isn't recommended for collecting bomb arrows!)
So about climbing in the rain... max out stamina, and get double upgraded set of climbing gear. If you jump every 3 or 4 steps, before it forces you to slide down, you will actually gain quite a lot of distance. The climbing gear bonus cuts the stamina used by jumping in half, so you can use it to climb quite far. Find a few ledges up the way to rest and you can climb any mountain.
Nintendo nailed the intimidation factor of the guardians, they boot up, their head does a frantic 360 searching for you, a simple gong and a spidering of piano keys as they give you the crazy eye and doom you with a super accurate explosive laser... even once you have their patterns down you still get vietnam style flashbacks every time they look at you
I can't believe the Stealth armor set wasn't on this list. Early game this is all I wear. It makes collecting any small living creatures easy as they don't run away easily and you can just grab them with little effort. I also get 95% of my meat supplies using rolling bombs and this armor so I save on my weapons durability and more importantly arrows. Also you can easily swim up to fish to grab them without them swimming away most of the time....at least the ones I didn't bomb first. Lol
@@notnanni i believe u can buy the stealth armor set in the 1st village or where impa is. or if u have bought the DLC, there's a stealth set a.k.a the phantom ganon.
I found the stealth pants and haven't bought the rest of the set and so far just those with no upgrades is enough to sneak up on most stuff. Throw in a stealth food made from really easy to find ingredients and so far I haven't needed the rest of the set.
@@schoolaccount7562 you have to get them by shooting at Dinraal, Naydra or Faroush's horns. if you shoot at their mouth you get a fang and if you shoot at their bodies you get a scale. You can look up where they spawn so you can farm them.
No, you missed the most game-breaking thing in BotW Cook one Stamella mushroom by itself. It gives you 2 hearts but it slightly overfills your stamina wheel, which automatically refills the entire stamina wheel and then adds a bit. It's basically unlimited stamina.
Itś Endura Carrots that give you the most stamina. 5 of them thrown in a cooking pot = 2 full wheels, beyond what you´ve gotten from trading Spirit Orbs. Stronger than Endura Shrooms. You can usually find 2 or 3 around a fairy fountain.
Nr 8 = 1:06 Nr 7 = 2:31 Nr 6 = 4:10 Nr 5 = 6:27 Nr 4 = 8:06 Nr 3 = 9:06 Nr 2 = 11:22 Nr 1 = 13:13 I liked the vid but guys 17 min vid for a top 8 is SOOO long a 10 min would of been fine.
lol... that was fine... they explained a lot about how and why the items were useful. Sure it could have been shorter but they broke the game down with what they revealled it wasn't TOO bad.
WHAT!? Really!? Holy crap! No sarcasm, I didn't know that. I thought it capped out at like 20. Then.... I started collecting more. Highest arrow count I have is 73. BUT 999!? WOW
Lord Tullus 9 you can go to an island and farm the same chest over and over and get 10 arrows every time. All you have to do is save and load the save and the chest resets
I barely can get any normal arrows since I feel like using the other ones are a waste. Now I have around 200+ for every arrow but less than a hundred for normal and ancient.
For strength buff foods you only need 3 mighty bananas and 1 mighty thistle to reach the threshold that triggers a high level meal. The last slot can be a time boosting ingredient like bird eggs or goat butter. If you're curious about the math, as of the time of writing, a mighty banana provides 14 potency points and a thistle provides 7. The thresholds are 30 and 45 for mid and high respectively. The best ingredient would be a mighty porgy which provides 21 points replacing a mighty banana and thistle leaving two slots open for time boosts. The rest of the ingredients are harder to get compared to all those mighty bananas you get from the yiga clan.
So really you just need 3 bananas and ANY 1 item that is also a "mighty" item to get a high level attack buff. I thought eggs just raise the hearts you get, they increase time too?
Trick for getting arrows for free: complete eventide Go to the rock formation South of the shrine Use Magnesis to pick the chest out of the tiny pond, it contains arrows Teleport back to the shrine Go back the the chest location ( it will respawn) Repeat
@@cristianplaton9328 when you complete eventide island there is a shrine that appears after you offer the three orbs to the altars. Its called the Korgu Chideh shrine
I also love making simmered fruit with 5 hearty durians. When you are not that much heart yet, and loves to roam around, like I do, it's great, cause it gives you 20+ hearts. I get mine near Faron Tower. Directly north of it ; hearty durians. South of it, mighty bananas.
Durian should have made this list IMO, a single one when cooked restores full health +4. Cook two at a time and you get +8. There's one place in particular when you can harvest a couple dozen of them over the course of a few minutes, use the Sheikah Slate to locate them all and you'll find around double that.
Myndale I just went on a 4hr farming spree for durian last night. I scoured the whole Faron region starting from the spring of courage and making my way to the waterfalls and finishing at lakeside stable. I already had 70+ roasted durian from my last farm of that area. But I needed more for making actual dishes. I pulled 100 durian in 4hrs! Plus I got 120+ mighty bananas on this trip as well. I was half way through this run and the blood moon came in so I farmed a lot of monster parts as well. And I've never seen so many beetles and lizards as I did in that region. Amazing farming spot!
E cooking any hearty food combined with anything else is a waste of its most basic trait: it’s ability to automatically give you full health. Sure, +8 sounds good, but it’s just two durians added together so you get 1 full health meal and +8 total hearts, but if you cook those two durians separately, you get 2 full health meals and +4 hearts twice for a total of 8 extra hearts. 4 more extra hearts is nothing compared to the potential 27 hearts to 30 hearts a full health meal will give you. Early game, extra hearts are great, once you get into higher heart counts, the extra hearts just aren’t as important.
One that isn't on this list but is REALLY useful is the spicy peppers, if you are doing a play through with three hearts and no divine beast assistance, you can throw down a single spicy pepper and light it on fire and it basically is the equivalent of having Revali's Gale. Even if you do have it but are out of charges, you could still substitute the peppers as an additional charge at any time. I often use this to scale tall mountain faces that I normally wouldn't have enough stamina to scale (as I'm playing 3 hearts/no stamina upgrades play through)
Guys, you can deflect a Guardian laser with your shield if you counter with A. If you time it right you will reflect it back at the guardian causing devastating damage. Takes a couple of hits to kill a guardian outright. Save your arrows and your health.
While this is true, only strong shields can do this, and most will break within a couple uses. Use caution. Perhaps a better strategy would be to learn its patterns. Go for the legs. immobilize it and shoot its eye to interrupt it. ANY bow will due, even a boko bow, oft times a bow will be less expensive than the needed shield. Also daruk's protection is not counted in this.
@@Billybobthebillygoat Well-timed parries take no durability off of a shield. You can literally kill a guardian with a single pot lid if you parry the laser at the right time.
ANY shield will work. Not moving guardians die from just 1 hit, walking ones from 3 hits and the flying guardians...Well, it depends. The bastards move way too much, the lazer can miss or hit the wrong body part, inflicting less damage.
I was just messing around in botw and I found out that you can ride GRIZZLY BEARS! I'm thinking of riding through hyrule field, shooting ancient arrows, and storming hyrule castle on a bear.
Also a few items I wanted to add to this list is the Zora shirt (allows you to swim up waterfalls- saves you a ton of climbing time in some areas), ancient arrows (you can craft these at the observatory at the northeast corner of the map) they can be used to one-shot kill any guardian when used with a Lynel bow. They’re great for farming guardian parts for the guardian resist armor. And lastly, luminous stones. Early in the game, I used them to rack up money for my last fairy fountain (It’s 10K) but then realized that I needed them for the luminous armor in the hidden shop in Gerudo. You walk down the left corridor once you get in Gerudo and you knock on the door to the left. They ask you the password and it’s G, S, V, then diamond ♦️. Once you give the password, you’ll have access to the shop where you can get the luminous armor and the desert Voe armor which helps you stay cool in the desert. The reason you want to hang on to your luminous stones is that the armor takes 135 stones in total to completely upgrade. It allows you to use wooden weapons with an advantage and it has an awesome green glow at night. Kinda reminds me of a luchador getup. For people having trouble with Lynels, try attacking from above with electric resist armor or a triple resist exilar and with special arrows (I prefer bomb and electric arrows) because he will shoot electric arrows at you. The Arena/colosseum is a great place to practice this technique as well as get some great elemental weapons. To gain money quickly, any elixir made with beetles or endura carrots will be extremely valuable, and when sold will help you rack up money fast. Break every stone you can because the Amber and gems you get are also very valuable and can also help get your money up quickly.
The path to Zora's Domain is thick with Lizalfos, almost every one of which drops 5 arrows. Just throw on the rubber armor and clean the place out. I normally gain about 120 arrows per clear.
This video opened my eyes to a lot of things that I do completely differently. I never use the Stasis upgrade, I rarely use shields, I unlocked all the Great Fairies long before even finishing most of the shrines. For practically the entire game I have had more shrines complete than Korok seeds (at 103 now with all shrines complete). That and I missed the Climbing Bandana until the very end (it was in the last 3-5 shrines I did)
Normally I keep an elemental weapon at least one of each kind plus a torch and a Karok leaf and at least two one-handed weapons because the broadswords and other crap take too long for link to wield and then he gets hit and then he literally rag dolls across the ground like an idiot
Gr33N1nj4 :D You can get it from a woman traveler who you can find near the Thundra Plateau as well as up past Serenne Stable. Or, you can get it from Kilton.
I think hearty durians are pretty important during early game- when cooked they immediately restore your health to full and give you extra hearts. Perfect for if you want to do boss battle but haven’t found that many shrines yet
@Noah Donson man, every single shop is out of arrows every time I go to look. Occasionally someone will have restocked a few bomb arrows or the like, but mostly they are always out of stock. I assume it's because I already have a lot of arrows and the game doesn't want me to keep buying more.
@@haibaraui What is max, I'm guessing 999? I've gotten up to about 500 of each type except fire and bomb. Fire are used so much 200 is the most I can keep of those, bomb about 300. There was a point I had more shock and ice than normal, so I just started using those as though they were normal. I haven't bought arrows in forever, seem to have "stabilized" at about 500.
9th Item: At Least 1 Ice And 1 Fire weapon, If you like to explore and your going into a cold area put on the fire weapon and it keeps you warm for ever, same thing for the ice one but for hot areas, IT REALLY comes in handy and saves a lot of food you can use in fights
Billybobthebillygoat You couldn’t have gotten that from one bokoblin, unless you came back later or you got them from other bokoblins. Otherwise, You can’t get that many.
I was surprised with the stasis rune upgrade thing. I never knew that the upgrade allowed you to freeze enemies, because I never really approached any bosses or monsters like that until well after I received the upgrade. I just wanted to add that this video was pretty helpful.
I’m surprised thunder helm is not on the list. Super helpful to farm farrosh horns, Lynels that shoot electric arrows, walking around during thunderstorms, using it during sheika shrines that have electric components without getting shocked. I use it often and it makes some electricity challenges like unlocking the sheika shrine in the thunderstorm area super easy.
William Norton This trick, when I found out by accident, made me laugh, but is also very useful: Light sunshrooms or spicy peppers on fire, or drop them near a campfire, and it creates an updraft that you can ride. Very useful for getting to the top of an enemy base.
even if you only have 1 stamina wheel, it's still possible. just cook a staminoka bass in order to replenish your stamina before it's completely run out. simple mashing on the L-button does the trick. I didn't need more stamina than 1.2 wheels. the lord of the mountain took the most from what I remember, even more than the giant horse, which was also fairly easy to tame.
one of the best places to top off your arrows is the path you have to walk to Zora's Domain the first time you go there. There is a shrine at the start of the trail but most of the lizalfos on that trail drop bundles of arrows. I get like 100-150 per run.
How? I’m always TRYING to break my bows because I have too many all the time, even with expanded inventory

Don't fight guardians with weapons, just parry the laser with the shield. There's a very clear sound and visual cue right when it's about to shoot, press A while holding the shield (focused on the enemy!) and you'll make that guardian have a taste of his own.
It's so amazing how detailed every inch of this game is n how the little things tie into one another... this is the most impressive console game ever n has raised the bar so high no games will live up to this title... they made such a challenge for the next zelda game. I'd say another open world zelda will be a long long time LMAO
I agree on how awesome this game is, but I don't necessarily agree nothing can live up to what this game has done. It may seem weird, but while playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey I almost always get some pretty major BotW vibes from it, and I think a large part of that is due to the traversal. The way you can basically walk up to and climb anything in BotW is done in Odyssey as well, with the added bonus of not having to worry over stamina and falling down.
Complete the sidequest "From the Ground Up" (can be started by buying a house in Hateno). Once you have progressed to the point that the shop in Tarrey Town is open go there ANYTIME you can. It is insanely cheap to buy tons of arrows as they sell in bundles of 10 and stock a large amount of normal and bomb arrows. It is the easiest way to stock up and I completely recommend it.
You don't have to buy arrows. Just go where the giant horse quest guy. Close to there, there are some boko archers in horses firing arrows. Don't kill them, walk around with a good armor and farm arrows from them. You can get >300 arrows in minutes.
There is a lot that is OP in this game if you had the knowledge off the bat. I honestly don't even think arrows come close to topping that list. Stasis upgrade basically just breaks the entire game imo... nothing is challenging if you have it. Or using metal objects with magnesis to kill anything (including bigger enemies) as if they were nothing. People seem to think they were going for difficulty with this game, but I highly doubt that was their intention with how many stupidly strong ways they gave us to kill anything or how easy it is to regen hp.
I think they were aiming for difficulty, but rather to push the player to experiment to deal with these difficulties than to just make the game difficult ^^ Meanwhile, I could just farm arrows, but I'd feel like I was doing Beedle a disservice if I didn't buy out his arrow stock every time I saw him .u.
More arrow farming tips: If you block arrows with a wooden shield and then put it away, you get the arrows. I hear you can also catch them if you parry them perfectly, but I've never tried it. Also, if it's raining, bomb arrows won't explode, so you can collect them too. But personally I just buy em up at Tarrey Town.
Little correction, the climbing gear doesnt decrease the stamina use, it literally just speeds up the animation and you go faster. Tho if you upgrade the whole set to 2 stars at Great Fairies and wear it it will give you a set bonus that'll reduce the stamina usage when you do a climbing jump and it is extremely useful
Top eight essential items to grab, in no particular order 1) Any additional heart giving item (I E cooked up hearty raddishes, hearty truffle ect). these will also fully restore your hearts. 2) on the same note, anything that gives you additional stamina will give you full stamina. 3) Freeze/blizzard rod. These can be obtained in various areas. Frost wizrobes are guarenteed to have one of the two. These things are infinitely useful. If combined with the rarer electricity swords/spears, you can effectively stunlock enemies. 4) A duplex bow. I say this one only because it's easier to get. These can be obtained from the weaker Yiga-clan members who ambush you throughout the game. Two arrows for the price of one. It effectively doubles your arrows. Savage lynel multiplies your arrows by 5. 5) Fire Arrows. Fire arrows, asside from their obvious use of burning enemies are useful when you need to burn things from a distance or just do not have anything left to start fires. More importantly, they can be used in a pinch to light a weapon on fire and melt ice. Fire/ice arrows can kill ice/fire lizalfoes respectively instantly. 6) Cold weather gear. Undoubtedly you will want to explore places that are really cold right off the bat. Having cold weather gear can eliminate, or at least reduce the need for large amounts of spicy peppers early on. Specificly, you can obtain a warm doublet from the old man at the begining of the game. You can obtain this easily by cooking him up a dish consisting of Spicy peppers, raw meat, and a fish. 7) A wooden shield. Even if it is a pot lid. The reason being that you can use these to gather infinite arrows from archers as long as you use it correctly. 8) Firewood and flint. Let's face it; once you get the best gear, you're gonna want to farm that. To do so, you're gonna need to progress time for three days. Every three days, the enemies respawn. How are you gonna do this? With a campfire. Besides, it's also a portable source of fire, and wood and flint are easy to obtain. Protip: use bombs to fell trees and break logs.
@elitist douche bag yeah I did it in that oasis bit where the tide town gerudo npc is, accidentally fired it and ended up just shooting the bow for until it broke haha.
If you don’t want to farm dragon parts for longer effect times, find the Fang and Bone store in the middle of the night at the few Spawn spots (I find it often at the top of the waterfall when you spawn to the shrine above Kakariko) but you get mon and trade it for monster extract. It’s very cheap! Use it with two mushrooms and two fruit- all having the same effect! Example: for 30 minutes of increased speed, try 2 Rushrooms and 2 swift carrots with one monster extract for 30 minutes of speed boost. I have also substituted carrots for fleet lotus seeds. For attack, try two razor shrooms and two bananas with one monster extract. So on and so forth. Aside from getting all 900 korok seeds, I’ve completed everything in this game and the DLC’s so feel free to reach out if you have questions or get stuck! Hugs!
heres another idea for fighting lynel with stasis. you hit him with stasis, and then hit him in the head with a shock arrow. It will stun the lynel, and you can mount him (but not always. sometimes he recovers from this stun quickly, other times not, cant tell why. seems like RNG). You can then hit away at him from his back, and on top of that your weapon doesnt take damage during the time you mount the lynel. rinse and repeat
If you ignore the stasis and just get a good headshot (you learn the "jerk" reaction spot eventually, or you die a lot like I do sometimes) you can then walk up, get a full four hit combo on them with a single handed weapon and STILL hop on them. Tons of damage.
lynels actually resist all elements. the only thing an elemental arrow does in a lynel fight is increase the time between your shots. the reason they stagger at all is head shots.
I absolutely love this game, I just got to finally play it for the first time a few days ago and I was not expecting it to be so challenging. but its amazing

For anyone who finds it too hard, keep a moderate distance from the guardian, and press the parry button only a few miliseconds after you see the beam charging up. after its lazer tracking and before it shoots the beam out, it does this circular pattern with the beam where it gathers into a mass to be shot, when you see that quick charge, immediately press the parry. You don't really need perfect timing, and even for someone like me who sucks at parrying I've managed it quite well
@@HelDKN you're right. I tended not to watch these vids until late in my playthrough so it's just interesting to see the level of skill people have at this game.
about farming arrows: there is a spot in the under_right side of the map with the giant-skull hide out. kill all the beast inside, let the 4 outside shoot arrows on you, pick them up til you have a bunch(12 orso), save en get yourself gameover and let them start shooting at you again so you can pickup again.. ya can get 999 arrows in a hour.. 999 is the max you can hold up
Even a lot of the youtubers I've watched playing this tend to miss the vast majority of items that drop or are clearly on screen as they run past. I've also found this kind of 'play style' a bit confusing, as it gimps you in pretty big ways in this game later on.

I imagine this won’t be seen by people since this is a fairly old video but you can get the Royal White Stallion right out of the gate of the great plateau with one stamina wheel or really any horse with one stamina wheel. Hop on the horse and spam LB like you life depended on it. Granted this information is commented on a lot of other videos that mention this horse. But definitely get that horse on the save so you can carry it over to Tears of the Kingdom. I believe it has to be the normal save since Master Mode as far as I know doesn’t transfer over.
Do you want to know what’s REALLY important if you’re playing early on in the game? Single handed weapons, my first divine beast was thunderblight gannon which I’ve heard is the hardest one, and I had 5 hearts and one and a half stamina wheels he could one hit me with literally every attack and most of my weapons were double handed which were much slower and thunderblight is the fastest thing in the world. So get as many single handed weapons before fighting him

You should have mentioned that when you cook between 11:00-11:55 during a blood moon night, you get critical cook's that makes the food you make last longer and are stronger :) You can ask the guy thats looking up into the sky near one of the stables and he will say if theres going to be one or not, they come every 7th night or something
It's completely random. I've had 4 in a row, with two of those being during the same night. And when I finally went to do that blood moon quest it took fricking forever. ¬_¬
Gabriel yeah sorry. but my experience - and heard of others', are different. some have had bloodmoons back-to-back. I've had it happen twice in three nights (skipping the second night), come as late as 4;50 A.M. when it's been a normal moon beforehand, and when I was searching for the final memory - omg the game had fun this night - it replayed the blood moon cutscene *_three times in the same night!_* so yeah the bloodmoons has had some crazy mood swings the further along in the game I've gotten.

Tip to carry more fairies is when you are near fairy fountain hold enough fairies to make you have max 3 in your inventory, the fairies will re-spawn, put away fairies you're holding and quietly catch the others, I have 11 fairies 😎

@@littlemisslink3356 They respawn after a blood moon only if you caught them from that fountain; if you haven't caught them but have more than 3, they just won't be spawned on location, until you hold them in your hands. Tip: Use a wooden shield and defend against arrow attacks, they stick to your shield and when you put your shield away you get the arrows.
oh damn
this has been hot-fixed for a while now and you can't farm arrows this way anymore. after about 7 or 8, you won't be able to gather enemy arrows in your shield or on the ground like before. the best way to farm arrows now is, every blood moon, go up the path that leads to zora's domain (the way sidon first meets you). you just spend 15 minutes and you can get 150-200 arrows from the lizalfos there. most of them drop 5 each.

*HEARTY.DURIANS!!!*
They are so underrated.
Upon getting a lot of hearts what I did was conserve them and cook them individually bc each one is basically a free full recovery
I don’t think they’re underrated
To get more fairies, go to a fairy fountain and hold all of your fairies in your hand and more fairies will appear around the fountain.

Definitely think the Stealth set should have been included. Beyond the combat implications, being able to walk up to fairies and critters and horses outright is such a useful function.

I got to the gerudo cooking pot and shoot a multi shot bow. It racks up fast with a 5 shot lynel bow
One thing (Two actually, but for the same purpose) I would add to the list is to always have one flame weapon and one ice weapon. Equipping these will raise/lower your body temperature, allowing you more freedom as to what armor you can wear when you're out in the desert or any chillly elevation or area.
And fire weapons can be used to light bonfires and pots ^.^
the Ice Wand is a must item for it is a great replacement for stasis rune whenever facing a bunch of moblins. Combo it with a hammer and you can inflict massive damage with low cost. Doesn't affect the tougher enemies but it is handy to have for journeying through the land.
If you have a fire weapon and heat resistance clothing, you can go through the gerudo desert when it gets cold at night and in morning, when it is hot, that is how I did the divine beast.
nice idea, but there are at least two other methods for that, so not really necesarry
I’ve had the game for three days now, I’m a total noob but I’m still lovin it. This may be the best game ever made...

Nolan Gray which one?
Had the game for 5 days and i have killed ganon.
With pretty decent gear.
You know what to do and its pretty fast leveling
Yeah i know im a bit late to this
u can make it move slower
Bomb arrows work with this during the rain
I think after five arrows or so the ones they fire are only bots that you can't collect anymore.
I tried this with electric arrows but it didn't work :c
After about 3 arrows on the shield put it away to collect them and bring the shield back out.
I just let them shoot the ground where I was and pick then pick them up. You can only gather about 5 I believe.
Yeah, I noticed that too.
Lol
Will be. Doing this on my next play through thanks

Durian should have made this list IMO, a single one when cooked restores full health +4. Cook two at a time and you get +8. There's one place in particular when you can harvest a couple dozen of them over the course of a few minutes, use the Sheikah Slate to locate them all and you'll find around double that.
Myndale The place is on Satori Mountain
Also a place right by Faron tower
Myndale
I just went on a 4hr farming spree for durian last night.
Faron tower, to the side where the 2 lizalfos are. Multiple durian trees (I believe 6 or 7)
E cooking any hearty food combined with anything else is a waste of its most basic trait: it’s ability to automatically give you full health.

Not true, most of the time, the fairies will fly away.
i do this every time. every time one escapes, its like i've lost a life
Just sneak up on them and you can snatch them.
just sneak up on them just crouch and grab!
Now that's a great trick:
setting grass on fire and using the paraglider to ride the hot air.
William Norton This trick, when I found out by accident, made me laugh, but is also very useful:
Light sunshrooms or spicy peppers on fire, or drop them near a campfire, and it creates an updraft that you can ride. Very useful for getting to the top of an enemy base.
i carry bundles of wood around with me at all times to be able to set this up at will
I use the guardians laser when fighting one because it's near impossible for a guardian to hit you in the air
When taming the Royal horse, just spaz your finger on the left bump button. I think I tamed the thing within 1.5 stamina wheels.
How do you spaz your finger?
Dankwing Duck With a tazer
CrzBonKerz21 mod a controller to get turbo button then tape L button down
even if you only have 1 stamina wheel, it's still possible. just cook a staminoka bass in order to replenish your stamina before it's completely run out. simple mashing on the L-button does the trick. I didn't need more stamina than 1.2 wheels. the lord of the mountain took the most from what I remember, even more than the giant horse, which was also fairly easy to tame.
Yeah I did it like that with 1.5 stamina not hard
I wish they’d update the game and give us more house weapon storage, I find so many good items that I don’t want to use or lose!
one of the best places to top off your arrows is the path you have to walk to Zora's Domain the first time you go there. There is a shrine at the start of the trail but most of the lizalfos on that trail drop bundles of arrows. I get like 100-150 per run.
Yesterday I was fighting a guardian and I saw my arrow inventory was full but I had no bows 😂
*THAT SHIT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME*
Damnnn

It's so amazing how detailed every inch of this game is n how the little things tie into one another... this is the most impressive console game ever n has raised the bar so high no games will live up to this title... they made such a challenge for the next zelda game. I'd say another open world zelda will be a long long time LMAO
Did you miss the recent sequel announcement?
Its coming out very soon actually lol
@@olegandrushchenko1082 2020?
@@olegandrushchenko1082 it's probably coming 2022. If it came out now, it would be a rushed game, making it bad.
It is the easiest way to stock up and I completely recommend it.
and u can buy back ur used items if they will be destroyed
James Toomer it takes really long to re stock it took 4 real days to re stock
James Toomer the arrow shop in gerudo is better
The secret shop in Tarrey Town sells you back rare armor you may have sold, or the Hylian Shield if you obtained it and it was destroyed.
You don't have to buy arrows. Just go where the giant horse quest guy. Close to there, there are some boko archers in horses firing arrows. Don't kill them, walk around with a good armor and farm arrows from them. You can get >300 arrows in minutes.
You can do that trick wherever there are enemies with arrows, it still doesn't nab you elemental arrows and bomb arrows..
Why not both? I horded 700 + the way Fancisco said, and still buy out all of the stock simply because I don't want to run out quickly by any means!
Top eight essential items to grab, in no particular order
1) Any additional heart giving item (I E cooked up hearty raddishes, hearty truffle ect). these will also fully restore your hearts.
Chests in eventide island respawn on every save, chest + reset = infinite arrows
Yeh but it's only 10 arrows a save.. it takes way longer time to get way more arrows than I thought
Or get a multishot bow and shoot at a wall
@elitist douche bag yeah I did it in that oasis bit where the tide town gerudo npc is, accidentally fired it and ended up just shooting the bow for until it broke haha.
And now we have the Teleport Medaillon
Hugs!
Yeah but that was random. The monster extract MIGHT give a max buff OR it might give a negative buff or nothing. A bit wasteful of resources to guess.
Actually it isn't Zelda's horse it's a grandchild of the horse, as stated by the old man who gives you the request
I just found the horse and talked to the old man. I didn't know it was a quest
I named the horse Zelda ( because she had one too)
heres another idea for fighting lynel with stasis.
you hit him with stasis, and then hit him in the head with a shock arrow.
If he's in the middle of a recovery, it will not stun.
Recovery animations for any enemies are non interruptable.
what you can also do is stasis a lynel and aim your bow at his head. wait until the stasis runs out and you get a guaranteed headshot
The Bomb Arrows are more useful in that regard since they actually do extra damage that Lynels don't fully resist, but they are capital-E Expensive.

High-risk high-reward oh, I love it! I do the same
For anyone who finds it too hard, keep a moderate distance from the guardian, and press the parry button only a few miliseconds after you see the beam charging up. after its lazer tracking and before it shoots the beam out, it does this circular pattern with the beam where it gathers into a mass to be shot, when you see that quick charge, immediately press the parry. You don't really need perfect timing, and even for someone like me who sucks at parrying I've managed it quite well

about farming arrows: there is a spot in the under_right side of the map with the giant-skull hide out. kill all the beast inside, let the 4 outside shoot arrows on you, pick them up til you have a bunch(12 orso), save en get yourself gameover and let them start shooting at you again so you can pickup again.. ya can get 999 arrows in a hour.. 999 is the max you can hold up
or do a full all town/stable arrow run

The people whose videos I watched also constantly talk about off-topic stuff and forget how to do the simplest things.
Even a lot of the youtubers I've watched playing this tend to miss the vast majority of items that drop or are clearly on screen as they run past. I've also found this kind of 'play style' a bit confusing, as it gimps you in pretty big ways in this game later on.

is it Unbreakable!?
That last Fairy Fountain at 10 000 was very annoying, but here’s a tip, farm rupees using the snow bowling at Pondo’s lodge. Find a strategy that fits you, and when you do, you can get 300 rupees every time you get a strike

The horses on the other side of the canyon next to Hebra Tower are op, 5 stamina, 4 speed, 4 strength was the best one I could find😎.
Over of the best essential item videos I've seen on this game. Great to have Alex on board as well. Great job guys!
So get as many single handed weapons before fighting him
Nero 5648...I agree, thanks for the tip! I’m too slow at raising the metal rods at em with magnesis!

2020, late to the party. You DONT need 2.5 stamina wheels for Zelda’s horse. You just smash soothe as fast as possible and it takes about 3/4 wheel.
or just rotate between smashing the soothe button & eating food that replenishes the stamina wheel. i tamed a rlly fast & strong horse as a beginner using this tactic

You should have mentioned that when you cook between 11:00-11:55 during a blood moon night, you get critical cook's that makes the food you make last longer and are stronger :)
You can ask the guy thats looking up into the sky near one of the stables and he will say if theres going to be one or not, they come every 7th night or something
Gabriel every 7th night my ass
It's completely random. I've had 4 in a row, with two of those being during the same night.
And when I finally went to do that blood moon quest it took fricking forever. ¬_¬
If you look closely, i wrote 7 nights 'OR SOMETHING' which concludes that im not 100% sure and just spoke of my own experience

@@littlemisslink3356 They respawn after a blood moon only if you caught them from that fountain; if you haven't caught them but have more than 3, they just won't be spawned on location, until you hold them in your hands.
