Story and freedom are opposites in gaming. Breath of the wild sacrifices the story by minimizing the parts of it thr player goes through to give them absolute freedom, which is what the game is most praised for
I hate that we don't have a clawshot to ease traversal, or a shiekah blaster to give the guardians a taste of their own medicine. in hours of my botw gameplay, botw really feels like a prologue of totk. like, "hey guys, i wanna make a huge game rn. but seems like it will take years for it. so, lemme give you a bit of the game we are working on, then giving it a bit of story, and then while you spending time for exploring this prologue, we'll keep making game we want" maybe this is the reason why the map will re appear in totk, and the story in botw only flashbacks.
Personally, I think the durability system was better designed than most people give it credit for. I can think of only two ways to improve it. One, make it clear how much durability a weapon has left, and two, make it so weapons drop materials after breaking that can be used to craft new weapons. The commonly suggested "Blacksmith" weapon repair system would destroy the purpose of the mechanic. I also don't "hate" the Divine Beasts. They're not perfect, but I enjoyed them enough. The Divine Beasts themselves don't hold a candle to traditional dungeons, but the idea of more open-ended dungeons shouldn't be thrown away. With a little refining, the Divine Beast formula could make some great dungeons, like the dungeon at the end of the Champion's Ballad DLC. Hyrule Castle was also an interesting take on the idea of dungeons, and it actually felt like a place where someone would live, and not just a labyrinth. Nor do I find the combat boring or repetitive. Even without weeks practicing glitches, there are many different ways to approach combat using the tools provided. Stealth, resource management and strategy all come into play many times in the game, and there are many different tools Link can make use of i.e. Magnesis, Bombs, Stasis, fire, lightning strikes, boulders. Basically, if combat is getting boring in Breath of the Wild, you're doing it wrong.
I found a way to climb a cliff without slipping: 1 find a cliff; it has to be a little like a slope or it won't work. 2 climb it, then let go, then walk forward(or you will slip), then climb and repeat the rest(if it is a flat wall or not gentle enough, you will fall when you let go)
What you talking about, stamina only limits my charge attack. Climbing mountains however if you know how to abuse the geometry you can climb anything with 1 stamina wheel. (or whistle sprint that 93 degree angle wall)
I always hate how Bokoblin's scream at you after swinging their one handed weapons two times, as if they're better than you. Outta spite, I like to slap them once and/or whistle at them after spinning attacking or dodging their attacks.
one of the things i hate is automatically diving when jumping over water, when i'm trying to get arrow time to snipe. i also hate when using cryonis platforms, and jump in water on accident and float under the ice and it breaks.
hey @Sealios Spring I actually was the person who discovered how to pet the dog you crouch then use stasis while crouvh than you stand up the eventually the affection dots show up
2: I do, but there's a way to mitigate it, at least. 3: Is there a Zelda game with a playable epilogue or postgame? (And I don't mean sequels.) 4: Afraid... chatty... adorably enthusiatic... 8: Mostly Ze Kasho. Last time, I managed the last room in mere seconds, but this isn't typical. Trying to map controller tilt to the tilt of the board can be brain pain. 10: Not as much as the one where it kind of flings this... thing in an arc and expects you to lead that target. The balloon ones are (usually) easy by comparison.
I hate fighting silver monsters because they're just as dumb as the other monsters but you break seven of your favourite weapons just to get a bloody Lynel horn and a single weapon that will break in no time. It's just throwing weapons away
Even worse in master mode since they regenerate their health as soon as you stop hitting them so that nullifies a lot of strategy. You just gotta wail on them constantly until their dead.
Rain slipping could have been solved so easily by making crampons (or just some vague "wet weather climbing shoes") available somewhere in the game. This links to a very minor annoyance of mine - why aren't the snow boots compatible with (or standard to) the Snowquill set, and desert boots with the Gerudo set? What I mean is when the respective boots are equipped with those sets, the full set bonus should still kick in. Seems obvious to me. My "sticky shoes" would similarly be compatible with the climbing set.
Great video! Also for #5 i only got 4 words WEAR THE THUNDER HELM. (i know it only gives 3 defense but its honestly so much better than just taking off all of your weapons)
Maybe after beating Gannon hyrule castle is free of the malice, and malice as a total is gone, gaurdians still exist and so do other enemies but now guardians don’t respawn. It should seem like people are trying to rebuild, a rebuilding side quest, or multiple would have been fun.
The fact that you have to pay to get the OoT armor set is definitely the worst, followed by the goat headbutting you off a mountain and there's nothing you can do about it.
Worst npc: that one dude who makes you do a stupid obstacle course with ur horse and never gives u your prize and you spend 100 dollars just to finish it.
I don't think slipping on the rocks is as much of an issue as how much it rains for it to do so. It rains every 5 minutes it feels and that's why it feels so terrible when you slip on the rocks.
I hate... NONE of these? A couple may require some explanation. 2. No climbing in the rain. Sometimes having to adapt your plans in response to factors outside of your control is half the fun in a game like this. 5. Metal armor. Metal armor would technically increase your chance of getting struck by lightning, but this is cancelled out by the fact the armor would protect you from actually being affected by the electricity, acting as a Faraday cage around your body. 9. Weapons breaking. There are few things more satisfying in this game than chucking a nearly broken weapon in a strong enemy's face. Plus, it gives me a chance to pick up more weapons so I don't have to leave as many just lying on the ground to despawn uselessly. 11. & 12. DLC armor. I never bought DLC so this never affected me. 17. Amiibo armor. BotW is my first Zelda game and I like Wild Link's look better than classic Link. Please have mercy on me for my unforgivable personal preference. 20. No petting doggos. I don't exactly _like_ this state of affairs, but having to come up with ways to show affection for the puppers made my interactions with them feel more special than a pre-built animation might have.
i hope the tutorial or something in totk is set in the future hyrule after botw but before the main events of totk. it would be cool to see all the stuff that changed after beating ganon
Imagine a thunder storm in death mountain: Because you cant use metal items in thunder storms, and in deayhy mountain you cant use wood items because they burn! Like only ancient gear is able!
I think the worst thing about breath of wild is how bland and basic the npc’s are, there is not a single one that has an interesting story or personality, all of them just have the same simple dialogue and a stupid, uninteresting quest for a reward worth nothing.

Welp…….. YA STILL CANT PET THE DOGS
in hours of my botw gameplay,
botw really feels like a prologue of totk. like, "hey guys, i wanna make a huge game rn. but seems like it will take years for it. so, lemme give you a bit of the game we are working on, then giving it a bit of story, and then while you spending time for exploring this prologue, we'll keep making game we want"
maybe this is the reason why the map will re appear in totk, and the story in botw only flashbacks.
2:35 i did the shrine next to the colloseum in master mode with a full inventory of good weapons and came out with 2. 4 guardians in one shrine.
I love how deep your voice goes sometimes. It's actually kind of sexy.
1:13 That's why I love AoC so much. We got to see so much more about Zelda and the other Champions as well.
one of the things i hate is automatically diving when jumping over water, when i'm trying to get arrow time to snipe. i also hate when using cryonis platforms, and jump in water on accident and float under the ice and it breaks.
The youtube algorithm needs to pick you up as you have such amazingly high-quality videos, and I would love if you got more attention for it.
ok bro you got me with 3 things (slipping in rain, motion control and cant pet the dog)
The dog one is pain
@@SealiosSpring yeah and the worst thing is, Zelda does it in a Cutscenes
hey @Sealios Spring I actually was the person who discovered how to pet the dog you crouch then use stasis while crouvh than you stand up the eventually the affection dots show up
1:19 I can’t tell whether that’s a reference or a stolen joke
nice job on 20k
2: I do, but there's a way to mitigate it, at least.
3: Is there a Zelda game with a playable epilogue or postgame? (And I don't mean sequels.)
4: Afraid... chatty... adorably enthusiatic...
Tears of the Kingdom made Silver enemies even more common.
My "sticky shoes" would similarly be compatible with the climbing set.
yeah, snow boots not providing cold weather protection always seemed a little off
Great video! Also for #5 i only got 4 words WEAR THE THUNDER HELM. (i know it only gives 3 defense but its honestly so much better than just taking off all of your weapons)
Hateno Village shrine broke me
I hate when i am trying to walk on a rock and Link starts climbing qwp
Do you use shaders?
You forgot the Yiga clan, especially when you’re already fighting another enemy.
“You get attack 3 after getting of the plateau” IT IS OPTIONAL I haven’t got it ever
Oh the nostalgia seeing those old models. I started with the DS titles of phantom hourglass and Spirit Tracks. I loved them.
You cant pet the dog then Processed to take the frustration out on the dog by throwing a royal guard 2h at the dog lmoa. The last part was funny lol
2:24 - We love it so much, it's back!
Maybe after beating Gannon hyrule castle is free of the malice, and malice as a total is gone, gaurdians still exist and so do other enemies but now guardians don’t respawn. It should seem like people are trying to rebuild, a rebuilding side quest, or multiple would have been fun.
Also, champions weapons and hylian an shield shouldn’t break, but I sorta get master sword. I also thing some weapons break way too fast.
The fact that you have to pay to get the OoT armor set is definitely the worst, followed by the goat headbutting you off a mountain and there's nothing you can do about it.
What about the Ferice Deity gear you can get that as soon as you unlock the amiibo function
I actually would've loved if we had an oblivion style durability system you can repair your broken items but you have to use a specific item
I hate how the reward for collecting all 900 koroks is a DAMN POOP
Worst npc: that one dude who makes you do a stupid obstacle course with ur horse and never gives u your prize and you spend 100 dollars just to finish it.
As a dark souls veteran, I wish they had more power enemies than just lynels. Flurry rush + stasis makes it so easy.
I don't think slipping on the rocks is as much of an issue as how much it rains for it to do so. It rains every 5 minutes it feels and that's why it feels so terrible when you slip on the rocks.
Things I hate that were in this video
1)Rain whilst climbing
2)Weapon Durability
3)Stamina
2:53 doesn't the barbarian armor do the same?
I don't exactly _like_ this state of affairs, but having to come up with ways to show affection for the puppers made my interactions with them feel more special than a pre-built animation might have.
the most replayed part of the video 💀
i hope the tutorial or something in totk is set in the future hyrule after botw but before the main events of totk. it would be cool to see all the stuff that changed after beating ganon
3:52 wait…what…
20 was very correct.
Also, Very cool profile image Sealios Spring, I wish you success and will watch your growth and videos :D
Thank you! I made it myself :)
#21 NO CATS?! Why nintendo no cats?
Hey are you going to continue with the 100 percent series
I am, but I'm streaming it :)
3:58 except revali's gale exists...
Climbing in the rain is painful. Not being able to pet the dogs is true agony.
Imagine a thunder storm in death mountain:
Because you cant use metal items in thunder storms, and in deayhy mountain you cant use wood items because they burn! Like only ancient gear is able!
LET US PET TUE STINKIN DOGS NINTENDO
I think the worst thing about breath of wild is how bland and basic the npc’s are, there is not a single one that has an interesting story or personality, all of them just have the same simple dialogue and a stupid, uninteresting quest for a reward worth nothing.
fr, i literally spent an hour trying to pet the dog but the only thing i could do was stare at it 😭
How'd he get health bars on his enemies?
Why is number eight so relatable? I couldn’t get a pass the maze shrine, because of it.
If it rains all you must do is climb and count to 3 the press x after you will slip but still gain little height
