I am one of them for sure. Still to this day, my Dad is not involved in my life despite me trying to stay in contact with him. who knows though. maybe one day it will happen
It was definately a touch stone for me... its pretty much my childhood story.. and I think thats true for a LOT of kids from our generation. I remember the first time I saw them live, it actually broke me down in tears... I was maybe 15... and then I saw them again years later... and as soon as that intro hit, I was right back in that place, when I heard it live for the first time at 15.... I love FP, always will. I wish they'd get the original line up back together, but I'll ALWAYS support Taime.... one of the REALEST guys in the rock and roll business.
One thing is for certain though... I took strength from knowing that Taime had the same childhood... and he survived and thrived... that was a big lesson for me.
It's a warm feeling I used to get when somebody yells out a favorite song they wanna hear. And the whole bar is singing the song with us. Music wasted never hear again
this song applies to me for sure.but i didnt have a mom or dad.thank god for grandparents ,but i finished school and went to college all by myself.thank you god for this song to get me through my life...their was never anyone home in my house of pain.my mom was a model i use to sit and wait for her for hours in the doorway she said she was coming but never showed up.i was only 4 or 5 and i think this made me treat women bad in my life.i am 53 now and i still dont trust women...so to all young men out there...dont be as hateful and evvl as i have been.find someone to love.i dont beat women dont get me wrong.but its awful to have never been in love.thaaaaaaank you mom and dad
I think about this song and it makes me think about what I endoured when I was in my 30s my mom is the glue that kept the family together. My mom and dad gave us the best child hood I could ever ask for. After she passed away my dad wasn’t ever there for me. He wasn’t empty of full promises, he was down right verbal Abusive in every way. I did everything I could to keep him away from me. No mater how hard I tried I couldn’t because my brother wouldn’t let me be in peace. I missed out on a lot of things in my life because of that. I wish my dad getting sick wasn’t the reason he treated me like a father should. I wish that things could have been different when he wasn’t. It’s very hard for me not to harbor animosity, hurt ect because of that. My brother certainly wasn’t any help. Our relationship is rocky at times. I think about my childhood a lot wounderif what if I could turn back could things have been different. I believe they could have.
That's awesome, this is my all time favorite song, My life in a nutshell, I heard it in a bar last nite at a pool tournament, Such a great song, The 80s were the best, I'm still talking to myself
My friend told me they were a trans band from the 80’s, they were cross dressers ? I didn’t know that the trans scene was big in the 80’s. It’s cool that you were at that show!
@@sarahboller5912 Um, no way. I just went back and watched the official video. They are dressed like women! Why would a grown man wear lipstick ? It’s not a bad thing. Don’t be transphobic.
Loved this song since I was a kid in the 80s. The White Buffalo (Jake Smith) does a great broke down acoustic version. Great to This song still having impact today. Great song
Taime Downe drinking water and not smoking? Glad he cleaned his self up. Was worried he wasn't going to be around much longer when I seen him back in 2012.
Ya iam very very greatful that taime quit smoking he did very very good for himself iam so so so pleased thank you taime for quitting smoking thank you LOVE YOUR FRIEND RAYMOND
Seems when u go through rough patch a lot people quick to judge or dismiss. They bought the tapes and cds way back. Hits rough spot in life their like ohh well he’s done. Now look. Hell Yeah. Keep rocking.
I'm going to see them in Roanoke VA June 11th at Dr Pepper Park at the Bridges since they are opening for The Tom Keifer Band aka Cinderella. This ought to be a dope concert!
My friend told me that this was one of the first trans, cross dresser bands from the 80’s. I’m not from that era but I think it must have been brave to do that back then. It seems like they have the rock and roll look now which is also cool. Anyway, great song!
Your friends a idiot..they have same look now as they did then. Only difference is hair isnt hair sprayed up. The New York dolls did where dresses onstage n late 70s. But faster pussycat n 80s had same look as Motley Crue, Guns n Roses etc
He had pneumonia, bronchitis, and other things. Doctor told him to quit what he was doing or the next time they had that conversation, one of them wouldn't be there. Taime is feeling better and sounding better than ever.
This is the best Taime has looked and sounded in many years. Really good to see.
I really want to see them in concert just once.
I was gonna say the same thing
1987,opened for Alice cooper. 34 odd years later they are still in my top 10.they were awesome.

It let me know I'm not the only one, back then and now.
This is the best I’ve ever heard him. Great to see him doing so good!
If I could like this video twice, I would.
I have to say I'm relatively impressed how original they still sound, 35 years later. If they are ever in my neck of the woods, I'm there!
