- Опубликовано: 24 дек 2024
- Here’s something healthy, simple and delicious you can make for breakfast every day and never get tired of: soy milk, called duyu (두유) in Korean. It’s a nutty blend of beans and nuts that has a lot of fiber and protein and is really good for you.
Full recipe: www.maangchi.co...
There’s no milk in it at all, even though it look like foamy latte milk and goes down very smooth and creamy.

this is the reason why I love Maangchi so much. she makes me feel like I'm listening to a close friend talking while cooking instead of just watching a cooking instruction video. I wish you all the best in the world, Maangchi! a lot of love from Vietnam.

I'm a cancer survivor as well. I remember not being able to eat anything but ice for a long time. I'm so glad she found you and you motivated her to learn to cook what made her feel good and healthy. 💗
Nice meeting you through my cooking channel! Cheers!

Whenever my sister drinks milk she usually falls sick as she is allergic to all dairy products and soy milk is really expensive outside so i tried making this recipe and it turned out really tasty and she loved it. I hate soy milk but with your receipe even I have started drinking soy milk. Thank you so much for this amazing receipe !! Love from India !! ❤
Great!
That is so sweet of you! What a kind friend
@@Maangchihi.. how do you keep the soy milk longer in the fridge..? I find that after 1-2 days the milk starts to seperate and it starts to become slightly sour and thicken up

There's no one on the internet that makes me feel so warm in my heart like you do Maangchi! I'm a Singaporean living in San Francisco, and have made so many of your amazing recipes that my husband is convinced I can quit my job in tech and go open a Korean restaurant now 😁
Yes, open a restaurant! : )

Maangchi, I wish I had seen this video sooner. My brother in law just passed away from pancreatic cancer one month ago. He was fond of Korean food. I wish I could have made this for him while he was on his chemo treatments. They become so weak and skinny while on chemo. It makes me so happy you mentioned about how your recipes helped someone while on treatments. You are doing better work than you think, Maangchi! ❤️
Omg.I am sorry for your lost. He was lucky that you were with him. Did u know that if he had taken this Asian Red Mushroom, it would of helped with his chemo treatments. it also comes in pills. but not many people know or can afford it.because this mushroom is very expensive & must be taken everyday. To extend life.
This is the only one channel where I hardly founded any negative comments. You express so much love through your videos that your viewers do the same to you. Bravo to such a beautiful human being. I'm going to make this recipe. Thank you millions.
check cooking with dog too.. she barely got negative comments and she's a sweet lady too.. though its a japanese cooking page :)
I can't imagine anyone could have anything negative to say!

Founded is past tense of found, found is past tense of find. Two different word dude.

I am so happy I finally tried this recipe! As I've gotten older it's been harder for me to process dairy, but I love milk. Most non-dairy milks have an aftertaste I don't care for, and they don't have the tangy, refreshing taste that I like. This recipe DOES! I was so surprised. My blender doesn't blend super finely, so I strained out the large chunks of soybean and nuts (I freeze them to use later) that settle on the bottom to make it smooth all the way through. It's the perfect replacement for dairy milk. I doubled the recipe to make a whole pitcher for my fridge, and I can't wait to make another batch!
👏
The cancer survivor story is really touching. Maangchi, i love the caring and loving humanity often expressed in your cooking. It reminds me the true meaning of life and food, and thus your recipes are very healing to me. Thank you, Maangchi!!
"This guy is eating now"
When I was younger, I got so sick and stayed in the hospital and could not eat anything cause it hurt so bad. Then the lady next to me told me her life story of how tough life she had but still tried so hard to survive and told me to eat the orange to gain appetite and the strong flavor will hurt me less. I think If she can endured all those I can handle an orange. Then I survived on oranges for a week and feel better. Never ever forget her strength and kindness.
Thanks Maangchi! I made this recipe today with a twist! I added cocoa powder and roasted almonds to make it chocolate soy milk! So good!!
Wow added almonds to mine. Okay tomorrow will add cacao powder
wow that's also a good recipe
In addition to learning so much about Korean food (and valuable kitchen skills in general), I'm always touched by your videos. Your genuine kindness shows through! Thank you for the knowledge you share on RUclips and all of the goodness that you put out into the world! We love you!

Just like you said... boil for 15 minutes only. no more, no less :) . No smell, no after taste. I am going to soak and freeze shelled soya beans for keeping it ready. Thank you for this recipe.

Hello Maangchi, I have a bit of a problem with the soy milk, when I do everything and I blend it, there is a "paste" left and the soft silk liquid left is not much. Is that because I don't blend it enough ?
Thank you for your video !! I tried a lot !
yes, you should blend it longer. Good luck!
Maangchi is so sweet, I love her.
This was very tasty. I had to cook for 20 minutes because the soybeans were super hard. Also I made it hot before drinking. tasted good hot or cold. Addiing 3 dates and cardamon made it super duper sweet and delicious. Thank you very much for the nutty flavor hints.
Sounds great!
Dear Maangchi,
I cried at the end of the video. I just lost my mother and she had a pancreatic cancer. As your reader she loved you recipies
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother...
I adjusted recipe. Ended up with just a little over 1 cup after soaking. I made this with black sesame , walnuts and Added agave. At 15 mins mine did not bubble so I boiled longer. So easy! I used to buy this but I dont like carrageenan. This is tastier. Thank you
I'm so excited to try this recipy. Soy milk is hard to find here (in Russia) and most brands add sugar and are expensive. I feel this recipy is going to be a game changer!Thank you!

Thx a lot for your DIY in making this lovely soy milk recipe. I always enjoyed peeling the skin off the soybeans after soaking them overnight. I also never strained my soymilk. I am lactose intolerrant, and just recently became a vegan (wish me luck!).
Try draining the beans when they are soaked, and then pouring 4 or 5 cups of boiling water on the beans. Let cool enough and the skins will rub off easily. And thanks for all the delicious recipes!

i love making soymilk! i use to do it all the time with my mom when i was younger. But the method is so different!
we soak it over night, then blend the soybeans with water until it is thoroughly blended. Then use a cheese cloth to separate the small bean pieces (optional) then we boil it. you have to constantly stir it and watch it. you know its done when it comes to a boil and it quickly begins to overflows. and we use yellow rock sugar for sweetness (add into pot before boiling).
we make them in batches and leave it in the fridge to chill. so you can have it fresh and hot or chilled later on. and it usually lasts for about 1 week before it goes bad.
When I find the soybeans I will definitely try your recipe too :) Did you also add other nuts when boiled?
Amanda Sole we dont use nuts but if you really want to i think you would have to either blend it with the soy bean and water first then boil it. but i think if you want a nuttier flavor to it without the solids from the soybeans, blend the soybeans and water first, drain it then blend the drained mixture with the nut and then boil it. try it in small batches to see which method you prefer :)
Will do ! What I really want is a clear, refreshing drink. But I don't know if it will be grainy 🤔 Thank you for sharing !
if you dont want it to be grainy then you would have to use a cheese cloth or something similar to drain it.
VIPyellowwolfy21 I’ve been making soy milk just like your method too!! And recently I started to blend almonds and sesame seeds along with the soybean and strain them with the cheese cloth and they taste AMAZING!
