Craig!! Love to see you enjoying yourself and being in your element working on bikes! Your enthusiasm and passion are super contagious. Brings me back to a year ago when I bought my first bike at age 17, and 2001 Harley Sportster 883. Little did I know that it had "cruise control", aka the throttle return cable was completely broken. Had a lot of fun memories working on that bike, and some not so good ones of lowsiding it. But I'm grateful because it has brought me to where I am today.
I normally don't watch videos this long especially when they are about recovering/restoring bikes like this without fast forwarding through them, but I have to say that this one intrigued me from the start. I ended up watching it in its entirety, and I found myself grinning when you got the bike running! SO glad you were able to find and buy your dad's bike! You stole my dream! I’m living vicariously through you! Thanks for another awesome on the fly moto fix experience. This truly helps with the winter blues.
Awesome video Craig, my dad owns a 1957 he bought in the 70’s. When I got old enough to get into Harleys I wanted to do some research on his sportster as about 1800 were made in the first year. Turned out being a 57 XLA motor and he didn’t even know. Only 418 were made for the army. Still runs like a top. Love these iron heads!!!
Awesome job, great to see Craig with his own channel. I really enjoy his style and the little bit more laid back vibes in his videos. It does make me sad Sean moved, but I guess that will just make the future collabs more hype and highly anticipated. And I am glad we get to a chance to see Craig SHINE
I am so glad I found this. And you for that matter. This weekend, weather permitting, I am driving 300 miles to pick up a bike exactly like this. Been parked in a dry building since 1972. I know the motor needs work but am so stoked to take on this journey.

I owned a 1988 Honda Hurricane 600 back in the day when I lived in SoCal, was for a short period, and I sold it after a couple close call scares and speeding tickets, I was 19 yrs old, I didn’t want to kill myself lol. Now at 54 I sit and watch these videos and wish I would have kept riding and learned more about motorcycles. I’m more than mechanically inclined enough to fix up a junker, and I have my eyes out looking for one to restore, but this channel is awesome, and it’s only one I watch, you have great personality and sense of humor man, keep up the awesome vids.
I used to run a '93 Evo Sporty, probably a bit more user-friendly than your old-timer. Nice vid, good to see another old one up and running again. In comparison with other bikes I've had, the Sporty always seemed a bit more like an agricultural implement than a motorcycle. Lots of fun, though.
I ran my 69 Electra glide with a lawnmower battery for over a year😂 I also have lit myself on fire by standing in front of the spark plug holes.... Fun times
As soon as I saw the cam cover, I said to myself "68" ! It's so cool you got your Dad's bike!!!! I bought my 68 XLCH (yup! strictly kick, magneto fired) back in 1980. Still have it, but I put an XLH tank on it and a customized pair of FL rear fenders (made 1 from 2, with right hand chain cut out). I also added an RHB-5 turbo that I yanked from a friends Mazda before it went to the dump. A little fancy pipe welding and PRESTO! Can you sat FUN? Sure ya can!
It's great to see you getting your dad's bike running. I had a 78 Sportster and love it , I just hated that the engine wasn't rubber mounted. Anything above 60 mph and your teeth would vibrate out of your head. By the way in a new subscriber to your channel and I hope to see more Harley content.
Your dad and I did the same thing. I picked my 68 sporty in about 1977. Looked the same 6 inch extended forks, king queen seat. Sold it after our second kid came along to help finance an remodel on our house. Miss that bike glad you got your hands on it again.
Craig, Kudos to you on your new channel. Although Sean was the “MC” of B&B’s, you were the substance. Sean is a bit goofy and honestly, not much of a mechanic. I enjoyed your spots on B&B’s when you did the technical stuff. I do wish Sean well but I am afraid he may have ended his RUclips career without you as co-host. Best of luck to you and much success will come your way. Cheers, William

I love those old Iron Heads. Been riding them my whole life. I currently own 1965 Sportster that someone made into a chopper. It was a project when I got it. I had it finished out and it's definitely a fun bike to ride.
Awesome that found your dad’s bike and that they finally sold it to you. Sad that it sat up for nearly 20 years, but I’m sure you will make some great memories of your own with it. Loving the channel.
Dang dude, that's the same king queen seat and sissy bar my 77 came to me with. Going to go file my points now seeing what an improvement that did for you. Thanks Good luck with your new channel!
That was totally cool. I had a 68 Kickstart only Magneto xlch. Willie did from Bakersfield California, to Atoka Oklahoma in January. Guarantee I couldn't do that again. So I can appreciate your Ironhead, and being your dad's come on now. Ride hard die free
Craig, glad to see your channel after bikes and beards. I loved this video because the bike was your dad's & partly because about 2 1/2 years ago I bought a 1992 Sportster 883 that supposedly sat under a tarp in a backyard for eight years! I paid $2000.00 for it (with 2 new tires) and rode it home and have working on it since and have done quite a bit to it. I have a huge benefit of having an experienced biker/Harley builder right next to my apartment who's been very willing to help me with knowledge and even parts! Whenever I start doing something he usually shows up & helps! I too would like to see more Harley content.
Just inherited my dads 67 sportster xlh. Looks similar to that one so ur helping me out with a checklist of stuff on top of a few minor parts i need to order. Sentimental value for sure
So few people get to start a channel with the kind of experience you've gained over the past few years, and then almost instantly grab 60K subscribers and have your, what, second video? Get 1/2 million views in a week. That's quite a boost and a testament to your personality and the quality of your friendship with Sean. Congrats, happy for you. -some random dude on the internet

Love that rolling on a piece of your family history that has to feel great , very Kool. Made me feel good for you.
I’m saving money to buy a bike. 3 more weeks and I’ll have 4k. My mom is so sad and mad at me cuz I don’t help her out anymore. Please pray for my mom cuz im tryna save money for me. But in 4 weeks I’ll help her out again 😢
Bless you 🙏
Rest in peace.
How did it go?
@@arthurbttf I got it when it was perfect.. now the headlights are dented and sattle bag is torn. I wrecked it twice. Now I need 800 to buy a new headlight. But I can’t save money so I give it to my mom. Maby soon I’ll fix it. But I still ride it everyday
@@rayslife4k It all works out in the end! I have a GN125 that takes me anywhere, cheap and quick
Awesome to see you found the bike and got it going. Sure your pops will be in shock and happy to see the ole girl again. Many good rides ahead hopefully. Love them old ironheads
God is king.
Deities most likely don’t exist.
There is no god
So is prince Charles
Wonderful job getting the Iron Head on the road again, I'm sure your Dad is smiling🤗
I just rebought my dad's old chopper and I'm currently restoring it back to its former self! Great video!
Order of work hardly ever changes with Craig. Im learning alot watching this channel. Im gonna get my 98 Softail Custom up and running.
This new channel is the best thing that's ever happend to Craig. I always wanted more Craig and we have it now. This channel is going to the moon!!
Finding you Dad's bike must be really special, wish i could track down my fathers old heritage
So cool to watch thank you.
I have a 68XLCH that I inherited from my father that hasn’t run since 1977 and hope to be getting it running soon.
It’s a magneto bike, so the startup prep will be different.
Thanks for the inspiration.
So lucky to have two of my Dad's bikes a 1955 KHK and an 1985 FLHT.... Both keep me connected now that he has passed.....Goodluck with your channel....
Sup brother craig great work on your new channel good luck to you been watching for years no doubt two srks are better then one
I have NEVER been into engines or motorcycles in my life. Now i wanna take both apart and put em back together. Lol you did that. Can't wait to see where this channel goes!!
Joe D.
I love those old Iron Heads. Been riding them my whole life. I currently own 1965 Sportster that someone made into a chopper. It was a project when I got it. I had it finished out and it's definitely a fun bike to ride.
How cool was that!!!? Finding your Dads old scoot and getting her running again!! Love you have your own channel, its a new fav of mine now!!
I have two ironheads 1970 XLH 900 and 1972 XLCH 1000, both I have build from the ground up. so good to see you playing with one!! Go man go!
Awesome that found your dad’s bike and that they finally sold it to you. Sad that it sat up for nearly 20 years, but I’m sure you will make some great memories of your own with it. Loving the channel.
Great job showing people in a fun way how to troubleshoot an old engine !! Love it
Thumbs up for mentioning the tires. A lot of people just think if it's holding air then it's fine.
You're an awesome mechanic, and a pretty cool dude,I'm super happy you got the Harley back, the sentimental value is always priceless!
Glad you've started your own channel wish you all the best from the UK 🇬🇧
allright, thats the new channel in town
thanks for staying with us, Graig !
Nice find!
My first bike was 74 sporty. Always had to specify Early 74 for parts. It was first of the 1000cc, and the last of shift on right.
Dang dude, that's the same king queen seat and sissy bar my 77 came to me with. Going to go file my points now seeing what an improvement that did for you. Thanks
Good luck with your new channel!
I was smiling from ear to ear when I found out it was your dads bike originally, I can totally understand your passion for the bike.
That was totally cool. I had a 68 Kickstart only Magneto xlch. Willie did from Bakersfield California, to Atoka Oklahoma in January. Guarantee I couldn't do that again. So I can appreciate your Ironhead, and being your dad's come on now. Ride hard die free
Another great video. It's very satisfying to watch these old bikes come back to life.
17 years ! You are one cool dude. Thanks for teaching me
Craig, glad to see your channel after bikes and beards.
Love seeing someone put some time into those old ironheads. They all need it.
Just what we like and appreciate. A down-to-earth video of a common guy feelin proud to get a part of American history running again
Love it. I just lost my dad and the dream of me getting a 71 Chrysler Newport just like we had. Cool you got your dads bike. Great intro to the channel.
this is so Kool that you got your dad's bike back , not the bike of my dreams but it is a special bike your you and your father. I hope you get lots of enjoyment out of her.
I had a 1972 xlh first year of the 1000 CC Sportsters ,loved that bike I never had a bit of trouble with it but I am glad that Harley went back to its rightful owners
I didn’t doubt you for a moment.
I love theses videos. Great fun and awesome facts!!
Thank you!!
