I was about to say the same thing, except for the "now I am a great cook" part! LOL. A lot of people think that Gordon is the guy who is ACTING rude on many US series. Watch the UK series and see the difference. Don't know the guy, but I think he's far more of a gentleman that what people realize.

Always fun to show people clips/videos like this when all they know about Gordon is his TV personality. The calmness, patience, and encouragement while teaching with such a humble/gentle demeanor definitely contrasts with the professional stressed high tempo reality appearances lol.
I started baking with fruit breads (banana bread for example) and then into different types/styles of basic/staple breads. Funnily enough, I'm not a fan of sweets, but I love the texture of cake and a lot of pastries in general. I make tons of pastries/cakes with minimal sweetness (or salt to counter) and almost never any glazing or icing. Fruit/bean filling makes great sweet pastries without the need of the extra smothering of different sources of sugar.

My father used to have salt and pepper on pork chops, then put them in the oven at a fairly low temperature (90-100c) for a couple of hours, taking them out and turn them often, so they didn't dry. Then he increased the temperature to 220c for the last 15 minutes or so. Most tender and tasty meat I've ever eaten.

Hello Chef. I'm from the Bay Area and I'm trying to bring sweetbreads into public awareness because, believe it or not, they're quite difficult to obtain here despite being such a culinary paradise otherwise. I called around, and turns out that meat factories around here literally throw them away to become meal and dog food, which is a crime if you ask me. I'm requesting, if you may, that you make a video on sweetbreads. The world needs to know about them.
