Have you done a hike like Stac Polliadh before where on paper it didn't seem too bad, short distance and would take only a few hours.... but it turned out to be very exhausting. Which one was it and would you still recommend it to others?
Old Vid, but having climbed over 200 munros. with the 5 classic ridge walks in Scotland. IMHO Including the Cullin Ridge. Stac Pollaidh is my fav. mountain You can spend hours scrambling on the ridge, to what ever grade you want, surrounded by spectacular scenery. Stac Pollaidh is very special.
@@protarget1 No worries about it being an old video, I get just as excited when I see comments on old videos as I do new ones. I agree, Stac Pollaidh is very special indeed and that scenery for a small hike is just amazing. I'd love to go back and scramble a bit more up there... and I'd love to tackle Suilven too. Have you been up Suilven?
Great video! I hiked it last year but the top was covered in clouds and visibility was very low - it's nice to actually see some of that amazing scenery! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the trail was incredibly steep, especially around the back close to the top. I will have to go back at some point and hope for a clearer day.
So pleased you enjoyed the video. Such a shame you had cloud though - for sure give it another go if you can in the future. 100% agree that round the back close to the top was the worst part for how steep it was!
@@WhenAdventureKnox Fingers crossed for next ha! While I'm hear can I ask if you were using your ZV1 to film this video, I've just bought one but haven't used it yet. Just trying to figure out the best settings and what the image stabilisation will be like.
@@MattWhitingsEurope Yes I was using the ZV1 in this video (drone aside) I had image stabilisation on which is why my face is so close and also the soft skin option too. Past those 2 things, I think everything else was pretty standard. Hope this helps. :)
@@WhenAdventureKnox Yes that's very helpful, thanks for the information. I have read about the soft skin feature, I guess I will have to play around with it all and see what works best. Stabilisation looks good, I'll definitely have that turned on, always near the top of my list when it comes to vlogging. Thanks again for the information.
