This is exactly how my uncle shows off his Bose stereo he got from costco.
Lmao...
LMAO🤣🤣
Rich people choice
I have vintage Bose 601 series 1 speakers they sound better than the modern ones but, still fall short compared to some speakers within a similar era such as JBL L series, Pioneer HPM100, magnepan, etc. The sound stage is kind of lost due to direct reflecting nature and the highs are not as crisp as 35 dollar soft dome tweeters. I rather build my speakers instead of buy. It's a great way to get esoteric sound for less than a good used car.
hahah so true
this guy makes me cringe
When they refer to customers as clients, you know you can't afford it 😁
you got that right! hahahahha!
Price spectrum
SO true!
Precisely...well said
"Experience Director" - I about passed out when I saw that. I've _owned_ McIntosh gear and while I greant you it's generally well-made and designed, I still think there is too much pretention entrenched in the company. They have more pride than they have really earned.
you wont need heating in that place the amps will keep the place warm lol

Shane no way that's spare change. More like lottery change.
Or multiple lotteries!
A few months back, I would have posted a snarky comment on this video, calling it pretentious and over-priced crap. But after some experience with McIntosh, I have come to the conclusion that its a solid company that builds high quality products and stands behind their brand 100%.
But above all, its a "value" product!! .......... I realize the terms "McIntosh" and "value" are rarely used in the same sentence.. but in my research I have found that the depreciation on Mac products is among the lowest in the industry. Some of the amp models like the MC-302/402/452 are in high demand always ; if you bought it used, and took good care of your gear, you are almost certain to recover 100% of your investment. That's amazing value imho! Especially since us Audiophiles always itch for an upgrade every couple years :)
🤘🏻
I would say there's a difference between the actual product and this over the top pretentious marketing presented here. Personally this is a big neg for me but the products are great imo
Glad to see unabashed high end audio is alive and well. As we all know, there'd be no supercars without formula 1, there'd be no sportscars without supercars, and there'd be no sportscars without window gazing. This is window gazing at f1 cars with for sale tags.
Imagine if he talked about the prices? That would have been so distracting because my wallet would be having a stroke.
Good Lord! Why the hell did I just watch this? This has go to be the BEST showing of McIntosh EVER! And, the spaces were incredible! Can I come visit?
If you put down an appointment deposit by selling a kidney, sure! jk
Beautiful ! Even the swimming pool lighting is the same Mcintosh colour - sweet touch 🍾🔊
*HAD TO REUPLOAD DUE TO A BAD EDIT*
I was watching it earlier and all of a sudden it stopped and said video was on private. I was scratching my head :)
There was some issues with the first one.
Excellent video
If you need a good editor, HMU! Will work for amplifiers!
Well my editor is me!
McIntosh and Audio Research are legendary and their longevity is a testament to their sound quality and workmanship.
I wish they made computers.
These systems cost more than most people's yearly salaries. It's still about the experience. It's amazing what you can get for the fraction of the cost for this gear. Plus how many of us have the time to sit down and enjoy music. Most of us are to busy working long hours to support ourselves.
Yep the american dream work more than you live
Wow that was insane. A whole new level of excellence . Wonderful tour Shane.
Thanks Dave!
Awesome showcase for sure. I was there for an event. Pretty amazing.
This is why I collect headphones... Few flagship sets cost over $5k, but you sign a check for that much in a McIntosh dealer, they'll laugh you out of the room and walk you over to the Bose section.
You don't need to use this much money to get good sound. For 5k you can get awesome sound if you know what components to be after.
@@OjStudios Oh, for sure, and to be clear I'd never get flagship anything, cause I doubt my hearing is that sharp. It's all about that price/performance ratio
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! You made my day with this comment.. hahahahahahahahaha!
You allowed the art speak for itself, well done.
IMO the best vid you have done thus far...great camera work..very well put together
I'm a proud and happy McIntosh owner ... but there's McIntosh and there's McIntosh. These setups are off the charts incredible.
Mcintosh is class! High class!! Their tube amps are like smooooooooth like glass!
Years ago I worked with a company that did business in Japan and a Japanese executive came to visit. MY boss had to show him around and one of the things he wanted to buy while he was here was some McIntosh equipment. I was impressed given that the Japanese really love their Japanese tech.
McIntosh has such a great sound. I have the MC-207 7ch amp and I absolutely love that thing.
Awesome dude! I am happy to hear you enjoy it :)
Almost all my McIntosh equipment have had issues that thankfully was still under warranty, but 6 months later would have been not covered.
Glad you are finally covering the highend side of A/V.
Nice ! Thanks for the video
Absolutely Amazing in every way x
So decadent. Cool video
Comb filtering is the first thing that comes to mind looking at those speakers.
Goals.
I realize there are choices that cost less and perform as well but Lotto plus me equals one of these setups.
For sure. Absolutely

@@mitsukid82 that's a great system.
Mitsu, killer system. Our audio systems are much like a marathon, not a sprint. As well it’s so much fun and gratifying as we upgrade, hear and witness the difference in sound quality, resolution.
Keep listening to music and enjoy the music. Don’t focus on the gear. If the gear gets you closer to the music or makes you enjoy your music more. Then that’s when the gear is relevant.
Cheers,
Looking good, guys! Fabulous video.
Thanks!
Thanks guys!
Such a cool guy. He knows the name of every single component. Great presentation!
I am in the market for McIntosh amps, however I am not sure what to get. I have Linn Klimax 350 passive speakers, 1000 watt each. I want to start with first as a music system and then gradually use it as a home theatre as well. What would you recommend that works both for listening to music and use as a home theatre? Do you think I should go for Mc462 or MC 611 or MC 1.25kw?
Outstanding
Have been slowly falling into this company / brand... The brands involved are great. .. and their community exposure is great / artist interaction.
Thank you so much for the kind words :)
Ladies and gentlemen, my home! Ha. No but beautiful town home. The person that converted it did a good job. And all those things of beauty they got sitting around to accent it. I also like the way they presented everything.
Nice! I missed it on my last time through NYC. Mean't to go but just ran out of time. I did get some very tasty soup dumplings nearby though. :D
Worth a visit for sure.
Clint, yeah man make time next when you are in our neck of the woods. But honestly. I would ditch anything or anyone for soup dumplings!!!! #sorrynotsorry
UN F in BELEAVABLE!!!
I go to my local audio store a just stare at the McIntosh equipment like looking at a 1000 horsepower Corvette!!!
Great space Mac. Hope to visit it real soon. I love McIntosh’s warm sound. I was a dealer for 5 years until the 2010 down turn.
in 11th grade I heard Fleetwood Mac, the Peter Green FMAC thru a what was then (1976-7) a pair of seinheiser headphones, the model w/ just 2 very light foam/open air cushions, and to this day it's still the best sounding Home stereo music I've experienced. I think it was a garrard turntable and definitely a Marantz receiver.
Can't wait to go some mono blocks from them!
What racks are those? The silver vertical arms, looks awesome
this is a work of art - Best of Breed here
You did a really great job on this video. Loved the tour...would have enjoyed seeing more of that incredible theater room system. Your editing and background music was absolutely first rate!!!! *Mega kudos there* !
Thanks appreciate that 👍👍
This makes me feel so poor.
me too
yeah ill join you,, makes my elite stuff look obsolete..
Those do take up a lot of room.
I have a 240 buck sound bar with sub. Completely happy with it. Forget about buying this stuff but I would definitely like to roll in 10k, 50k, 100k plus systems just to compare.
The sound bar and sub each have a power cord and 1 connection goes to my tv. The insane difference in simplicity is mind blowing. It makes me wonder how much of this is marketing and perceived value. As you read this remember: 240 bucks! Sounds great and everyone who hears gives it a thumbs up. I have listened to high end stuff and while it's excellent, it's not 20k more better. Imo.
@@Bubbles99718 I believe mine was about the same price for a soundbar and sub too.
Hi, I’ve been looking all over for the green and gold wall clock on the wall 0.22. Where can I purchase that? Thanks! 🙏
It's everyone dream :) thanks for sharing.
GEEZ.. do these things require dual 15A circuits or are they 240?
Have you done any acoustic treatment on the spaces? Looks like just concrete to me :D
RUclips pulled my credit just to watch this video. If I re-fi the house, I might be able to afford a demo.
I find it interesting that they use a subwoofer system with the top of the line 2.1K speakers being fed 2,000 watts. You'd think at the close to or 6-figure price those speakers would produce more than sufficient BASS for home theater use. McIntosh can still display the subwoofer system with smaller speakers that may need more help with bass.
This system doesn't need help with bass at all. The 2.1K speakers have more than enough bass to pressurize this massive room. I am running the speakers full range and still sending LFE to all 4 subs along with routing bass and LFE from other speakers which I am not running at full range to the subs. The subs are not only about the LCR :) When listening in stereo I am not using the subs, I can but normally don't. But also, having 4 subs on top of very excellent speakers is bad ass. How many have ever complained about more of a really good thing.
Cheers Mark!
Do you still do wonderful car audio, especially the head units with those stunning volume meters? if not do you know where i can purchased a used one.
That was amazing! Some next level stuff there. Definitely need lottery money to have some of those setups :-)
I am awed with your wonderful McIntosh setups, WoW. Especially the last reference line setup with 2kw speakers 🔊. Amazing!!
I died when I saw the thumbnail
😂
I want this set up!
So glad you filmed this before it closed down.
It's coming back soon.
Wow - did you get a chance to experience any of the setups. Especially the cinema setup?
The host was pretty cool and knew his stuff 👍🥰
Yes we heard a couple.
What music are you playing in the background ? Thx
does any one know if there is a video on you tube that has a ...underwater..... hifi that is powered by electric eels?
that cinema setup is just INSANE
I work about 2 miles from the McIntosh factory in Binghamton, NY. I drive by it at least three times a week, and think what kind of fun I could have, if they let me in there for an hour, with a dolly and a box truck! LOL
LOVE them big blue VU's
Ditto, I was hooked at a very young age.
Maybe it's their selling point. You just stare the meters and don't hear the music.
OniJon why wouldn’t you hear the music? That’s the most important part!
@@rocketbrothers540 I meant that when you're distracted, you don't pay attention to big price tag and performance to price ratio.
Well, they say money can't buy happiness but it sure can buy amazing audio gear. Imagine having the keys to that place, I'd be throwing parties every weekend! Props to Macintosh for hiring a cool, unpretentious and knowledgeable "experience director" as well.
Yep. Nothing pretentious about Experience Directors or Price Spectrums. :)
@@Bubbles99718 Haha I wasn't actually being sarcastic, he seemed like a good dude. They did give him a pretentious job title though
@@Cyba_IT Would say it's a bit more than that. This kind of marketing stinks. Waay too targeted, shallow and manipulative. Buy a 5 story townhouse in super chic SoHo, hire a Vogue fashion guy to decorate it with our stuff then hire a hipster dufus to represent our lifestyle. Yikes, reeks of 2 dimensional corporate bs. Love Mc, but ditch this soulless presentation.
@@Bubbles99718 I guess the rich buyers lap it up
Awesome video-had a couple of different Mac amps and loved them.
Never to late to get a few more :)
@@rocketbrothers540 So true-but haven't had the upgrade bug lately.
Ok, that video has me seriously revisiting some of my life choices...lol!! Pure Architecture/Audio Porn!!! Great video!!! Aspirational, but my Aspirations are set!!
WOW!!!!
enjoyed the walk through other than continually hearing very very unique. grates on my senses as something is either unique or it isn't. there are no variations of uniqueness. it just highlights the lack of understanding.
"very unique" "most iconic""very unique""most iconic."
Wish i could afford McIntosh gear....even the used gear is out of my reach...oh well...i make do with what i can afford. Nice video.
WOW. Just wow....
Bought my first McIntosh amp because of this video.
So what you're saying is that my Radio Shack Realistic receiver doesn't measure up anymore?
There have to be over half a million dollars just on Mcintosh alone not to mention the other high-end audio and those fantastic Sonos speakers. I own the Mcintosh Westchester 1 Home Theater System which is a seven-channel home theater system and I thought I had it good sheesh. I love that building so beautiful. The redbrick walls and gorgeous windows coupled with the remodeled architecture just stunning. This guy most likely throws some super elaborate parties with beautiful supermodels and some wall street tycoons.
If these walls could talk 😂
Joshua Dellinger lol !! 😂
Seems more like a boys only fella to me
I might just get a bill for just watching this video. LOL!
Im Speechless
which amp is in the toilet?? ;)
This must make targeting the show room by thief's pretty easy -- especially considering all the gear probably costs more than the loft itself.....I wana see the security system! xD
i LOVE this house .... :-)
Thank you!
now I have to dig my Macintosh amp/pre-amp out of storage! forgot how good that stuff survives in value over the years
Who just casually has Macintosh audio gear in storage! Lucky for some. ;)
@@Cyba_IT Apparently lots of people. I know a guy who makes peanuts doing carpentry. The guys house must have 300k worth of professional audio equipment, McIntosh included. He finds the stuff all over the place but churches are a big one. He lives in Virginia where churches are common and do big business. Lots of upgrading..
If everyone in our country gave us 1 dollar each, life would be Mcintosh.
And he constantly says "so" and none of them are necessary. :)
Vielen Dank für die gigantische Führung.😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Awesome incredible man..thks for sharing👍👍✌
I have seen and heard the 2.1k before very cool speakers.

The MC2KW are 80k a piece... absolutely wild.
Only if I could afford Mcintosh Beautiful systems sir!!!!
You can
@@therealshanelee Not when you have just Spare Change.
My big mistake in equipment is, buying average 3 times now in my life. Instead of enjoying the first purchase for life. Kids buy American and pass it down to your children.
That is amazing. Pure art 😍😍
Shane this video was shot really well, thanks for the tour, one question though, Did he give you a sound demo of that heavenly put together Dolby Atmos system?
Not a movie unfortunately. We were too busy getting footage totally forgot to get the full demo 🤦🏻♂️
@@therealshanelee Boooooo!!!
Next time.
Next time for sure Shane
I WONDER HOW MUCH is EVERYTHING THERE . COUPLE OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN AUDIO 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💸🎼🎼🎼 🔊!
That is just a drop in the bucket, compared to the building itself.
what is the TT at 3:16 ?
I heard a demonstration of a PRICELESS Machintosh system 30 years ago. I dont think equipment today is as good.
Beautiful place and great equipment. A dream come true for those who can afford. As a side note, I'm not sure in Europe it would be possible to install all those AC outlets so near the swimming pool, it seems dangerous to me.
With GFI it's pretty safe
Wow! Love it at least I would like to have one of the integrated amo
Is that the Lyngdorf Roomperfect? I wouldn't be surprised if Peter Lyngdorf designed those large speakers as they are similar to the Dali Megalines and TacT LS1s.
Yes that's the same Room perfect.
Amazing, would love to go and experience it some day!
Come by some time.
To everyone who thinks this stuff is expensive,
Go checkout a 100w Dumble Overdrive guitar amp.
You won't get one for under 125k and that's if you can find one for sale (you won't..) if you want a new one, you have to ask & then Howard MIGHT build you one.
I suspect that the going rate would be closer to 500k.
Hey Shane I’m buying the McIntosh 207 7 channel amp what’s your thoughts? Also thoughts on there pre/pro?
Awesome amps. Get it. Guess we'll find out soon about their prepros 😉
Also did he say there is a home theatre ARC or just for stereo?
Home theater bypass?
@@Sativacyborg007 Some of the modern ARC tube pre amps have a theater bypass mode if you wanted to tie the pre into your cinema for an awesome stereo front end when listening to music. Audio Research does not make a processor only 2 channel stereo products.
Joshua Dellinger oh what I mean was a room correction software for McIntosh pre/pro which they do. I probably won’t get the mx170 because it’s 15k. The mx123 has all the new goodies like 4K 2.0 hdmi atmos dtsx and for some reason they put imax enhanced on the lower cost along with airplay2. Down side of the m123 is that they only have Audessey ARC were the m170 is using there room perfect software.
I like the look of the rooms they have set up there, but are there any there that would actually be conducive for sound and not just for looks? Seems weird, least to me, to have 50k+ worth of gear play in areas with subpar room acoustics.
There are dedicated audio spaces and other spaces that showcase the products in a more normal listening space.
@@therealshanelee o good, figured as much but you never know these days lol I'm sure it sounded outstanding
Sounded first rate for sure.
Damn what’s up w those chandelier lamps ??? 🔥🔥🔥☕️
