I've been using TW ceramic spray coating for about 2 years with great results. My wife has a Honda Fit 2017, I compounded it, polished it and then mantain with TW spray ceramic coat every 3 months, even though the label says it lasts 12 months and wash it with TW ceramic shampoo. Lots of people ask how old is that Fit because of the shine and some think it's almost brand new. Now, my next product to use will be Griots ceramic 3in1 wax.
I use Griot's and Turtle Wax and get good durability from both, but as a Painting contractor I have learned that all you do by thinning a product you will always loose durability and protection. That's why I would never thin a product unless it written so on the lable.
He's planning on losing some of the durability, because he uses it on ceramic coated cars he can tweak it from a strong standalone protection to a somewhat less durable quick detailer (that'll still likely have more ceramic durability than a regular ceramic detailer)
@@pleaseletitgo1818 no it doesnt, so if you spray on the same amount of product, it theoretically should have the same effect. The real problem is how much are you pulling away when you wipe it off. What do you think of the turtle wax hybrid solutions graphene flex spray wax compared to the turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray wax. Which do you believe to be superior?
Ive found that meguiars hcw outperforms hybrid solutions since I get more months out of it than hybrid solutions but I do believe tlc bi is more durable but it's not a great value for money.
What? There are multi-year long tests being done with ceramic coats (videos you can look up). The Turtle Wax hybrid solution ceramic coat WAY out-performed the Mequiars. I've been loving Meg's Hybrid Ceramic Wax and their Ceramic Detailer as a topper. Even after a 1500 mile road trip and 3 months they're still going strong.
On its own I like the ceramic spray better. If you want to take the time to use the Graphene to the max wax then the Flex wax is better as a topper to that. Those 2 products together are phenomenal. If want to go a step further, Get the turtle wax 75th anniversary Ceramic/Graphene paste wax and then use the Flex as a topper / Booster. I've used $200 paste waxes and the $35 anniversary turtle wax has beat every other paste wax I've ever used. It's phenomenal

For now the Angelwax is ahead on TW because it keeps the paint cleaner. When i asked my wife wich side of the hood was cleaner, she pointed out the left side (Angelwax).

Any product you get with SiO2 will be prone to water etching. While some products have a higher content than others SiO2 is usually to blame. Polymer based spray products like Seal N Shine may not be as durable (very subjective term here) vs polymer based products but i find polymer based products tend not to water spot or etch as easily. I'm sure there's some chemist out there that can explain why that is but my experience having dark colored cars and living in the Southern California desert polymer base products just seem to be better for my cars than sio2 based.
They all have a small tint to the cured product..use a white car & split the hood with a coating & other side plan wax..after 30 days the coating side was 2 shades darker or a yellowing but comes back with a polisher..basically stripping the coating

I'm interested in your opinion about which would be best to add to the longevity and enhancement of a vehicle that has been ceramic coated? I have heard you want a strong Sio2 content in a detailer for that. Thoughts?
For me, last coat 2.0 and griot's 3 in 1 ceramic OK. But I replace Turtle wax ceramic spray coating by meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax "spray", which is better in durability in real test! Especially since with us in France turtle wax is as expensive as Meguiar's! 👍 👍 👍 For the review
I suggest giving the Last Coat Black Ice a try. If the paint is prepped and cleaned correctly that stuff is legitimate. First coat and let cure. Then apply a second coat and I think you'll be surprised. But like I said the prep work and stripping needs to be completely correct for results
I was thinking about purchasing a black car. I’ve always avoided black because of the maintainer and how much dirt shows up. What I am gathering from your video is these products would make keeping that black clean much easier correct? Lol
Just a helpful tip . Only apply 2 squirts to each panel about every 3 feet. . Out of everything I’ve tried in the spray on coating world , I’ve been very impressed with Resist and it’s my first choice at the moment for wax replacement.
Love the channel! One thing, when pronouncing Griot's, the 't' is silent. Also something cool about Griot's not sure if you know or not but all of their liquid products are made in the US by their own scientists and chemists. I've used em & wont use em professionally but, mckees hydro blue pro is my go to in terms of quality and longevity. Stuff cant be beat as for a pro grade sio2 spray coating... not givin ya heat JB. Love the channel.
Thanks man! I’ve tried that stuff and it’s just not for me. But glad you like it!
Last coat paired with AMP is great :)
Love amp.
Some reason when I apply amp, the paint is not as slick as just TLC by itself
How does the performance of this TW product compare to the TW Ice Spray Wax or TW Seal & Shine on paint?
easier to use, can be slightly less chemical resistant and is considered a ceramic coating vs a wax or sealant.
@@autodetailingpodcast thanks Jimbo your reply was exactly what I wanted!
I'm interested in your opinion about which would be best to add to the longevity and enhancement of a vehicle that has been ceramic coated? I have heard you want a strong Sio2 content in a detailer for that. Thoughts?
I need this too. I've heard recommendations of 20% sio2 or more. I think I'll check some msds
I bought the 303 Graphene and it’s didnt work at all. It’s nothing compared to like SnS
The ceramic spray is better than the ceramic wax?
@@croster23 yes, meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax spray (blue bottle) Is better in beading and durability!
Lol
Has anyone had issues with the turtle wax? I had major streaking issues with my 2018 camry over the weekend.
It can streak a bit. I cut it with water about 1:1 to help with that
Just a helpful tip . Only apply 2 squirts to each panel about every 3 feet. . Then Using 2 microfiber cloths one in each hand work the formula to a mirror shine left to right turning your cloths several times . Let cure for 24 hours and repeat . Should hold up for about 4 months . Good luck I had no issues using this for about a year .
@@PAULROBERTS961 yeah in the past i never had streaking issues, last time i used this product i applied to a microfiber applicator sponge and then onto my panels it was streaking badly. I always us a towel to buff off as well. Might try diluting it. This product honestly beads up well. Most the top portions of my car still beads after a long winter just not the sides lower to the ground but thats expected from salt attacking that portion! thanks for the tips
@@shivam220 Don't DILUTE ! You will lose your durability and shine . SKIP the applicator just shake well spay 2 squirts on every 3 feet . Then use a microfiber cloth in each hand to work in . Turn your cloths frequently . Then about halfway through the car . Grab 2 fresh dry microfiber cloths . I get nice mirror shine . Let cure for 24 hours and repeat process again . Last 5 months for me .
I have both of the Turtle Wax and Griot's sprays in my arsenal and they are my go to for any service beyond a traditional ceramic coating. I also use Ice Seal and shine. Thanks for showcasing these. I'm anxious to try the last coat as well.
Great picks!
@WaxMode can u please do a test with wet wax ceramic of Twax? And other brands? What about wet wax of tw vs turtle wax flex wax and ceramic tw wax?
Nice vid. I'd like to see an Adams Mega Foam vs. Griot's Foaming Service Wash.
I have a quick question. I'm always looking for and trying the latest new mousetrap on these finishes ... is there a risk of putting one brand of finish on top of another?
Same here. Zero risk
I’ve been having great results with Etho’s Resist
Absolutely surreal results in my case and I tested a LOT of LSPs in the last 5 years on both of my cars. Resist stands above all in terms of long-lasting gloss, slickness and self-cleaning properties. I live in the UK by the way so lots of rain and tons of pollen at the moment.
@Eddie V’s Express Mobile Detailing absolutely not
@Eddie V’s Express Mobile Detailing sounds like you have an agenda , I personally use ethos’s defy and resist on a daily basis .they’re both great products.
@Eddie V’s Express Mobile Detailing that happens , but not in this case .
@Eddie V’s Express Mobile Detailing No agenda here , I have nothing to do with any company other than I tray about every product that comes out . I own a detail shop , haven’t tried Leno’s stuff yet and honestly probably won’t. They replaced the turtle wax ice line at my local Walmart with it for reasons beyond me. Out of everything I’ve tried in the spray on coating world , I’ve been very impressed with Resist and it’s my first choice at the moment for wax replacement.
the problem with the last coat is that you gotta apply a coat every wash because it doesn't "last" until the next wash lol
Love the channel! One thing, when pronouncing Griot's, the 't' is silent. Also something cool about Griot's not sure if you know or not but all of their liquid products are made in the US by their own scientists and chemists. They do not re-bottle/label anyone else's chemicals like most other companies do.
Yup - I always say it wrong. I’ve actually interview Nick.
@@autodetailingpodcast haha all good, that’s awesome!
@@autodetailingpodcast Would be cool to meet him or Richard
Excelente video and amazing explanation of each one👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Mostly rock with turtle wax holds well just wish instead a 16oz but a 20
wow i was wanting to ask that question , can i dilute thurtle wax ceramic spray and you answered my question before i had the chance to ask it ...thanx much apreciated
Glad to help!
I still have that very popular ceramic spray one. can't remember the name. Don't know how many sprays you need to buy to be satisfied lol
I wish they just create a product which last forever and cost like $100 per bottle. Then you never have to hear about anymore top 3-10
But then what would we all talk about and fight over??!!?!?
Love TLC v2
i was looking for exact comparison video...but without visual comparison this is useless...=(
