Thanks for watching! Here's a good follow up video for more information on wire ferrules, and crimping and working with large wires: ruclips.net/video/TlV1_GjISps/видео.html
Hello Mark ! I was wondering, how do you know when you need a second battery ? I heard that a lot of voltage variation coming from the battery while driving (seen through a voltmetre) is a clue that you an other one or a higher output alternator. I never go under 14V so....yeah ? Thanks for the videos it really helps me on a daily basis when working on my car !
Hi Mark, I use the Blue sea Safety hub 150 gives you power for 4 big amps and plenty of smaller fused outputs for LED’s, processors etc. Check it out for a future build 👍🏻
CarAudioFabrication hey i need help. I put in a new radio in my car and it make a wine sound when i turn on my car and when i step on the gas it get louder. Pls help fix this. Also my uncle gave me a more power full sub and its connectd to the stocm amp could this be the problem
Good to see someone else knows how to use zip ties properly. I learned that trick building race cars. You should do a feature on just tricks like that so we can pass along to the younger guys coming up through the industry. Good work!
Great video!! CarAudioFabrication I wanted to know if one day you can make a video about how to install a battery isolator to add more batteries to a car, because I saw a guy who has one in his truck with 2 extra batteries I would appreciate you so much buddy!! I’m always watching your videos and I love all the details you do on every system and how well you explain everything
If you said (in the last part of the video) "it's still a little bit messy". Please give us vid after the whole tidy-ing is done. Thanks. Love your work man.
Another good video from Mark. Thank you. I am watching in Russia ) I'd like you to make a tutoral video "How to connect secondary battery to main one" I do not mean what wire to use. I mean will you keep secondary battery always connected with main one or connect it by any special relay? Thank you Mark. You making excellent detailed video and you are talking very clear. You are inspiring me for a new better level of my own DIY and caraudio too.
great video and impressed with you knowledge and skill on how to do fabrication and a whole list of objective that you have managed to overcome many obstacles Keep it up and forge ahead.
Your videos are terrific. Thank you for sharing your craft and trade with the rest of is. BTW, I absolutely love the fact that you named your dog Hertz (Hz), if I heard it right....
Great videos, I was hoping you could give a general size guide for the tech flex. Like what size you normally use for 4 gauge power/ground wire, and rca’s, speedwire etc. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Hey Mark! Just a quick question I was looking on eBay for a good quality wiring kit, found a Rockford Fosgate one with0/1awg wire but it only has that from the batterie then I had 2 distribution blocks and then they have supplied 4awg wire, is 4awg thick enough for powering a 1200w/rms 5 Chanel amp and a dsp? The speakers are going to be 2 focal utopia 165wrc, 75w rms and 1 focal utopia 33wx2. Thanks!
hey Mark, have you ever hooked a pioneer headunit into that amp, and checked the input analyzer to see how flat they are? i've always assumed they were flat, but just curious. thanks brother.
Hiya Mark, really enjoy watching your videos. Im currently building an audio system total watts 600rms so nothing major but a nice upgrade on stock. Thing is i will be attending some car shows and want to play my xbox i have a 500watt invertor. I am thinking off a second boot battery with a battery relay isolator so not to drain main battery but will i need to run a seperate power line to power radio from this new battery?
Chazz Coombes yes. unless you are not worried about the small load from the head unit. I would just use a larger battery. with a bit more capacity. maybe two. up front. along with a battery in the boot. you could isolate only the extra one in front . using it as a jump start. so even with the battery low. you will still be able to start your vehicle. it would be less complicated that way have a isolator with a toggle switch. "turn on" the other battery when you need to start the vehicle. or only turn it off when you are going to pull down the other batteries. and turn back on when you are ready to start! I hope this is understandable. and a help.
Amazing work like always Mark! Just one question though. On the distribution block, one big wire comes in from battery, 3 smaller ones go to the amp, where does the other big one go to? Engine bay I'm guessing? Is the car dual battery?. I'm looking to run, pretty much this exact setup in my car.
Great video and beautiful work. Is there a link for the main distro block? that looks nice. The fuse block link seems to be for the smaller block. Cheers
I’m interested in the same thing that’s one clean fuse block and it has multiple 1/0 in. It looks perfect for all the stuff I need to run in my mini truck
Hey mark I have a question I have a 2004 explorer and I can't find a good spot to drill for my power wire what would you suggest I messured my door jam and it is open enough with the door closed to not pinch my wire but i don't wanna leave there much longer any idea what I should do?
Hey Mark! Question, how are you zip tying the wires so they sit flat like that? I tried to dig through the videos but didn't see anything. What am I missing?
Great videos!!! I have a question. What are your thoughts on using a circuit breaker rather than a fuse? I install a lot of snow plow and wheelchair equipment and use them all the time. Pros/cons?
Mark, you dont list your source for the plastic used for the rack. I am having a tough time finding a good well priced source. Do you prefer ABS or HDPE in your builds and at what thickness. I want to make some under seat racks and I need some advice as I have never really worked with plastics in this fashion before. Thanks.
The sfd 41C calls for AFS fuses but curious if you are using Mini ANL's? I've heard that sometimes the MANLs don't always fit in AFS fuse holders? Please advise, Thanks!
How strong is the expanded pvc you use? I was planning an amp rack out of mdf as it will be under the boot (trunk) cover in my estate (wagon) and wanted to know if the pvc would be strong enough to use for holding the weight up of things I'll have in the boot (trunk)
I like it a lot, its fairly strong. Like any building material you will have to use common sense and some engineering to make sure that what you are doing is strong enough though.
Hey mark can u use the same wire for a power and ground ? Like if I got more ( power wire ) can I use that same wire for a ground ? I need more wire to really make my set up. Cleaner
Wire is wire. Your main feed and ground MUST be the same size. If they are the same color your amp doesn't know the difference. You should definitely some how mark each wire though so it is clear what is what so nothing gets shorted out.
CarAudioFabrication ahh jaha I always thought each wire had some special type of coding on it or something lol and I wasn’t quite sure the diff like if one had to be ofc or something lol thanks a lot mark now I’ll be able to nicely run my setup 😎
Hey Mark, When using threaded inserts, do you think it’s necessary to use things like Loctite to prevent vibrations from backing out screws or is it overkill?
If the install is vibrating so much that screws are backing out you are going to have issues with the gear too. It's one of those things that you can use common sense. If its an insane build with ton's of bass best to ere on the side of caution.
hey guys. i have a 1 in 2 out 0 gauge block. can i use it backwards and have 2 0 gauge wires from the battery to one in the amp. like so battery=======>-----amp
Getting great bass and maintaining trunk space? Needless to say I've done a really weird thing in a car that didn't have rear deck speakers I took 3/4mdf and measured the area of the rear deck and made a box for 3 8" subs. And took some L shape aluminum. Put around the box. I then cut away enough of the metal to let the 8s blow into the cabin. And riveted the L aluminum to the rear deck and reinforced it with new metal welded around what I cut out and fiberglassed the enclosure and made a new rear deck beauty panel does wonder bit I've always ask the customer if 1 they wanted that done and 2 if they own that vehicle and its not a rental etc
Awesome work so far! You were just a bit sloppy on the ferrules. The purpose of ferrules is not only to protect the end of the cable and distribute the clamping force to the strands but also to keep air away from the copper. To gain this you'll need to crimp the ferrule so there aren't any air pockets. In your case you just added some resistance to the circuit.
Thanks for watching! Here's a good follow up video for more information on wire ferrules, and crimping and working with large wires: ruclips.net/video/TlV1_GjISps/видео.html

Hi Mark, I use the Blue sea Safety hub 150 gives you power for 4 big amps and plenty of smaller fused outputs for LED’s, processors etc. Check it out for a future build 👍🏻
they are typically only needed for parking lot pimpin (eg, when the car is off and you want to play your system).
CarAudioFabrication hey i need help. I put in a new radio in my car and it make a wine sound when i turn on my car and when i step on the gas it get louder. Pls help fix this. Also my uncle gave me a more power full sub and its connectd to the stocm amp could this be the problem
"For now it's a little bit messy" - dude... looks 10 times better than most builds already
Haha thanks, for my tastes though it's messy. It will be cleaned up soon!
It's really good to see someone make good space of their Kitchen, you can cook while you wire up your car!
Good to see someone else knows how to use zip ties properly. I learned that trick building race cars. You should do a feature on just tricks like that so we can pass along to the younger guys coming up through the industry. Good work!
never knew wiring could be done so much better.
The wire managment is sooo satisfying 😍😍😍
You do the best videos to help people learn n comprehend... gets the industry growing! Good job Mark!! Thanks👍
He uses such perfect percise tools and equipment very tech and complex cool stuff my dude
That's some complex work you have going on there. ☺️
Dude your wiring is beautiful.
Thanks a lot your video in teaching us all wiring stuff.
I would love it if you would fix my Camry . You really know what you're doing.
The wiring is looking awesome! Nice work Mark!
Nice work
I really like the Audison connection distribution block. May want to add it to the list of materials used so others can find it.
Great video!! CarAudioFabrication
I wanted to know if one day you can make a video about how to install a battery isolator to add more batteries to a car, because I saw a guy who has one in his truck with 2 extra batteries
I would appreciate you so much buddy!! I’m always watching your videos and I love all the details you do on every system and how well you explain everything
6:06 what is that connected to both ground cables? I've never seen that before.
Its a 2 to 1 ground termination adapter.
Utilizing the space *correctly* makes a difference.
Gotta check AudioControl products too! Thanks for the video :)
great look can't wait to see the finish 👍
Thanks for explaning what the dm 810 does.
Your dog is named Hertz!! You are truly great lol.
Hey Mark, Where did you buy that distribution block for the ground? 6:06
If you said (in the last part of the video) "it's still a little bit messy". Please give us vid after the whole tidy-ing is done. Thanks. Love your work man.
Yay, hi Hertz!!
Is there a fuse between the second battery and the distro block?
Would you connect aftermarket light systems to that secondary fuse box?
Love that tech flex. A must have in my opinion. Awesome clip as usual. Keep killin it bro.
Another good video from Mark. Thank you. I am watching in Russia )
I'd like you to make a tutoral video "How to connect secondary battery to main one"

Thank you Mark. You making excellent detailed video and you are talking very clear.
You are inspiring me for a new better level of my own DIY and caraudio too.
Could you please do a video showing the differences from a super tweeter to a normal tweeter
What is the secondary fuse panel for. If you can please make a video for hooking up lights, fans, etc. Thanks!
Hey Mark, you for forgot one major step there, the RELAY your using to the small fuse block.you skipped that step on hooking it up.just wondering why?
Beautiful dog you got @CarAudioFabrication :)
Clean!
Mark, I follow your videos religiously. How can I contribute some funds to show my appreciation?
Do yo call those cables messy?? they look fucking awesome!
RifleRud yeah i wish my install was that messy 🤣
great videos, maybe one day a link would actually be in the corner of the screen
Great show! Is the tongue outside mouth an optional step at 5:42 to twist cables? 🤑
great video and impressed with you knowledge and skill on how to do fabrication and a whole list of objective that you have managed to overcome many obstacles
Keep it up and forge ahead.
Your videos are terrific. Thank you for sharing your craft and trade with the rest of is. BTW, I absolutely love the fact that you named your dog Hertz (Hz), if I heard it right....
Hi Mark, just subscribed .
Keep up the good work
do I even want to know how much you charge for such great work?
Great videos, I was hoping you could give a general size guide for the tech flex. Like what size you normally use for 4 gauge power/ground wire, and rca’s, speedwire etc. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Buddy luv to see u working with some monster amps rather than using baby amps
MARK PLEASE MAN CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHICH RELAY YOU CHOSE AND HOW TO CONNECT IT PLEASE MAN, GOD BLESS
What rca wires did you use I like the look of them
How do you wire switches to turn on the devices ran/powered through the Blue Sea Fuse Block??
Relay
Lol. Wow this is eye Candy Superve can't wait to see next video 👍👍👍✌
What is the connection quality with ferrels compared bare wire strands? What about filling the ferrel with solder?
how did you wire the relay into the small fuse block?
GREAT VIDEO!
What is the correct way to fuse an amplifier with multiple power inputs like the Sundown Salt-8?
How well do those threaded inserts bite into the expanded PVC? Seems like it would be too soft. Do you use CA or epoxy to help secure them?
Hey Mark!

Love that fuse holder, do you have any info on it? I didnt see anything on the posted links.
Hello,,, Audio custom for Captiva Sport 2014 you videos is nice congratulations
Wat size sleeve do need to go over that 0 guage wire
Keith Furges Are you referring to the ferrules to connect to amp? Or sleeve that goes over entire length of wire?
Where do you buy your power/ground wire?
Hiya Mark, really enjoy watching your videos. Im currently building an audio system total watts 600rms so nothing major but a nice upgrade on stock. Do u have to connect to the 2nd battery to order to work...or 1 battery still work.

Nice vid
Thank you
What is that white board? Is it azek? Can you get it in black?
Pros/cons?
Where can i buy that wire?
I just subscribed....I'm looking at the Focal 165AS Component Speakers for my 18 Tundra Crewmax. Do you have any component recommendations?
Doesn't the LC-6 do the same thing as the DM-810? I know it's also an amp but what are the benefits of adding the 810?
number of channels it can sum
ADR I see..
Can you make a video about concentric wiring?
Mark, you dont list your source for the plastic used for the rack. I am having a tough time finding a good well priced source. Do you prefer ABS or HDPE in your builds and at what thickness. I want to make some under seat racks and I need some advice as I have never really worked with plastics in this fashion before. Thanks.
See previous video from this series for the plastic.
Very helpful! I'm not going to go through video after video for a simple answer......
Looks so simple but I know better
Question
What kind of fuse do i need to hook up another battery?
Hi what size ferrules do you use for 1/0 wire thanks
What size fuses should i use for a 1200 watt amp and a 750 xs battery.....

how far the fuse block goes from the amplifiers
What is the tech flex i hace to buy for 0 gauge and 4 gauge because they have diferent sizes like 1/8, 1/16 and i want it for the + and -
Where can I find AudioControl in Australia?
Please make a video using the wire spinner
Great show! You rock!
so your distribution block is fused but what amperage?they’re small fuses so im kinda confused
Hey where can I find terminals like you used to fasten your ground to the frame ?
were is the fuse of the rear battery?
It's built into the battery terminal.
Mark I don't see the link for the distribution block.
What’s is the 2nd fuse block called or who is made by
Can the DM 810 be used with different amps?
Yes. Any amps that have an RCA line level input (which is virtually every amp on the market)
I wish that Audison distribution block was copper instead of brass, that would be the perfect distribution block then
shouldn't you crimp those ferrules ?
Securing them in the terminal crimps them.
ouh okay. nice to see you answer to comments even thou the video is couple days old
What size flex tech do you use for 0 awg
No answer for this, every 0 gauge has a different outer diameter, simply measure your wire and but the next closest size, it's not rocket science.
CarAudioFabrication I’m new to this that’s why I asked
hey guys. i have a 1 in 2 out 0 gauge block. can i use it backwards and have 2 0 gauge wires from the battery to one in the amp. like so
battery=======>-----amp
Where are you located

I'd like to see his reply on this
Me too! And I forgot to mention that the reason to keep the air away from the copper is oxidation. :)
That's ridiculous.
I don't think so. These are actually the reasons why it's almost everywhere electrical code.
Mark, your videos are awesome!
Puppy!!!
