I can't believe you didn't orgasmn to this song immediately. like it's so good frfr no cap. Millenials smh...
nah, I loved how fast you got the general groove and rhytmn of the song down and even added some cowbell, so I feel like my request was properly taken care of.
It really shows that you have alot of experience in drumming and I really like the way your reaction makes me learn smth for songs I request now.
Also the part that absolutely sold me on that track was that awesome bridge at 11:30. That alone makes me wanna listen to the whole album lol.

Jeez man, you clearly can't comprehend the best song ever written by the best band that's ever existed.

You should listen to The Aristocrats. Marco Minneman is a hell of a drummer

Guthrie's been an idol of mine since I was in high school so I'm familiar with The Aristocrats. I haven't listened to the new album though so thanks for the reminder.

if you want to be a chops AND a groove guy, study the career of current Queens drummer Jon Theodore, who lays down all the groove for QOTSA, but also went buckwild with The Mars Volta for their first 3 LPs. not trying to say he's the GOAT or whatever, but for sheer variety and utter skill at ALL of it, he's the guy. more skilled than Grohl, but he doesn't get greedy with them, while with TMV he was laying down polyrhythms and off-time sigs while somehow managing to keep noodle-addict Omar Rodriguez-Lopez more or less reeled in and on-time.

BTW, when this video was made, there were a LOT of really good newer songs available that would likely interest you much more than did this one. although, still, Theodore does not get greedy-- Queens drummers can't, considering Homme's predilection for polka- and blues-style playing and writing. no, i'm NOT a member of QOTSA, but i guess i can say i met Josh Homme once a long time ago... and have been following them since about 2000, and i know their music fairly well. won't tell you what to like or not like. Grohl did play on much of this album. this song stays pretty straightforward all the way through... not a ton of experimentation. not that kind of band.
